Now your attitudes and thoughts must be constantly changing for the better. Yes you must be a new and different person, holy and good. Clothe yourself with this new nature. Ephesians 4:23, 24

Thank You Lord for helping us to change moment by moment and day by day. It is our love for You and Your power within us that makes the changes that help us become more and more like You. Lord….I recall so well what happened as a child when my mother chose You as her Lord and Savior. The neighbors were amazed at her reaction when a clothes line broke and all the white cloths went into the mud. They expected my mom to let out a string of cuss words and were amazed at her reaction. Yes, You had changed her from the inside out. She had this ‘new nature.’ She was a ‘new and different person.’ She was totally changed by Your power. Thank You for that same power that is within each of us changing us moment by moment day by day. Oh how we need You and thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

Let me (Paul) say this, then, speaking for the Lord: Live no longer as the unsaved do, for they are blinded and confused. Their closed hearts are full of darkness, they are far away from the life of God because they have shut their minds against Him, and they cannot understand His ways. Ephesians 4:17, 18

Lord…how thankful we are to be Your children. Our benefits are so great! Reading here about those that have not accepted You are their Lord and Savior helps us realize even more how blessed we truly are. Oh how we praise and thank You for guiding and directing us.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

Then we will no longer be like children, forever changing our minds about what we believe because someone has told us something different, or has cleverly lied to us and made the lie sound like the truth. Instead we will lovingly follow the truth at all times—speaking truly, dealing truly, living truly—and so become more and more in every way like Christ who is the Head of His body, the church. Under His direction the whole body is fitted together perfectly, and each part in its own special way helps the other parts, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. Ephesians 4:14 – 16

Thank You Lord for Your love. The whole goal in this life is to become more and more ‘healthy and growing and full of love,’…Your love. Thank You for helping us keep our eyes focused on You. We thank and praise You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

Why is it that He gives us these special abilities to do certain things best? It is that God’s people will be equipped to do better work for Him, building up the church, the body of Christ, to a position of strength and maturity; until finally we all believe alike, about our salvation and about our Savior God’s Son, and all become full-grown in the Lord—yes, to the point of being filed full with Christ. Ephesians 4:12, 13

Lord … once again I want to thank You for blessing us with Your gifts. Thank You for placing the desire within each of us to become more and more like You. You help us ‘become full-grown’ in You ‘to the point of being filed full with Christ. Oh what a miracle and we thank and praise You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

Some of us have been given special abilities ability as apostles; to others He has given the gift of being able to preach well; some have special ability in winning people to Christ, helping them to trust Him as their Savior; still others have a gift for caring for God’s people as a shepherd does his sheep, leading and teaching them in the ways of God. Ephesians 4:11

Thank You Lord for the gifts You have given each of us. And Lord thank You that the best part of that gift is the fact that You help us use Your gift to honor and glorify You. You teach us and help us be the best that we can be for You. What a gift and what a blessing and we praise and thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

The Psalmist tells about this, for he says that when Christ returned triumphantly to heaven after His resurrection and victory over Satan, He gave generous gifts to men. Notice that it says He returned to heaven. The same One who came down is the One who went back up, that He might fill all thing everywhere Himself, from the very lowest to the very highest. Ephesians 4:8 – 10

Thank You Lord for coming to earth. We who love You and listen to these words have our hearts filled with joy and thankfulness. Thank You for Your ‘generous gifts.’ The greatest gift was the giving of Yourself for each of us. We are free because of You. We love You Lord and thank You. Thank You for the home You are preparing for us to dwell in with You forever and ever. We are so blessed and we thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

However, Christ has given each of us special abilities—whatever He wants us to have out of His rich storehouse of gifts. Ephesians 4:7

Lord Your love is so evident as we read of the many gifts You have given us. Thank You for giving each one of us the gifts that will bring honor and glory to YOUR name. Thank You for providing just what we need when we need it. You are always on time. Never early and never late and oh, how we praise and thank You for that. So often we wonder where You are and if You hear us only to see that answer in the end. You were right there all the time. What a gift and blessing.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

Be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowances for each other’s faults because of your love. Try always to be lead along together by the Holy Spirit and so be at peace with one another. Ephesians 4:2, 3

Thank You Lord for giving Paul the wisdom to know how to help not only those he was writing to all those years ago but us today too. ‘Be humble and gentle.’ ‘Be patient, and make allowances with each other.’ ‘Be at peace with one another.’ Lord all this is possible when we love as You love. Thank You for only being a prayer away to help us through those difficult times.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

I (Paul) beg you, I, a prisoner here in jail for serving the Lord—to live and act as a way worthy of those who have been chosen for such wonderful blessings as these. Ephesians 4:1

Thank You Lord for Paul’s life. What an example he is of his tremendous love for You. He is encouraging the friends of his to remain faithful to You. He is reminding them, and us too today, never to forget to act ‘as a way worthy’ because of the wonderful blessings we have been given. Lord today we are grateful for Your unconditional love that is always with us. It was with Paul in prison and gave him the strength to endure and it is with us today calling us on to be all that You are calling us to be. Oh how we praise and thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

May He be given glory forever and ever through endless ages because of His master plan of salvation for the church through Jesus Christ. Ephesians 3:21

Thank You Lord for Your ‘master plan of salvation’ for each one of us. Thank You that it is Your free gift to all. We give You the honor and glory You deserve. Thank You for Your unconditional love.

Thank You Lord.

Amen
