And when they (the crowd) saw it they all murmured, “He (Jesus) has gone in to be the guest of a man who is a sinner.” Luke 19:7
Lord how easy it is for us to judge. This crowd was no different than we are today. How easy it is to find fault with those that don’t do things the way we think they should be done.
Thank You Lord that You love us unconditionally. We fall so short of our goals so often and yet You are right there to pick us up and continue to show us a better way.
Thank You for never giving up on us.
Thank You for guiding and directing us and helping us choose the right way.
Thank You Lord.

So he (Zacchaeus) made haste and came down, and received Him (Jesus) joyfully. Luke 19:6
Lord Zacchaeus had climbed up in the tree to watch You and see what was going to happen. He no doubt had heard all about the healing that had been done and all that had happened in the crowds You drew. He didn’t want to miss anything and now here You were telling him You were going to come to stay at his house. What an amazing event for Zacchaeus.
Thank You Lord that when we seek You we find You.
Thank You for Zacchaeus and the lesson he teaches us even today.
Thank You for our call to never give up our quest to know You better and better.
Thank You for reaching out to us.
Thank You Lord.

And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, make haste and come down; for I must stay at your house today.” Luke 19:5
Thank You Lord that You always know where we are.
Thank You that even though we may be hidden from others we are never hidden from You.
Thank You for seeing us and knowing all about us.
Thank You for meeting all our needs.
Lord, You are always with us.
Thank You Lord.

And he (Zaccaeus) sought to see who Jesus was but could not, on account of the crowd, because he was small of stature. So he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for he was to pass that way. Luke 19:3, 4
Lord what a great idea Zaccaeus had. He was thinking and was determined to see You.
To what efforts do we go to today to see You today Lord. Oh no we can’t see You with our physical eyes but we certainly can see You with our spiritual eyes.
Thank You Lord that You want us to see You.
Thank You for the invitation to come to You.
Thank You for receiving us with open arms of unconditional love.
We are just as blessed today as Zaccaeus was in his day.
Thank You Lord.

He (Jesus) entered Jericho and as He was passing through it, there was a man names Zacchaeus, a chief tax collector and wealthy, who tried to see who Jesus was. But he could not on account of the crowd, because he was short. Luke 19:1 – 3
Lord as a child I always loved this story. There was a catchy little song that we would sing and illustrate by going way down and making ourselves look small. What great memories when I think about it.
Thank You Lord for persistence.
Thank You for the willingness to go to any length to see You.
Thank You for curiosity.
Thank You that we have within each of us that same drive that Zacchaeus had.
Thank You that we are called and driven to know You better and love You more.
Thank You for these gifts that You Lord have given us.
Thank You Lord.

And immediately he (blind man) received his sight and followed Him, (Jesus) glorifying God; and all the people when they saw it gave praise to God. Luke 18:43
Lord what a day that must have been. They had seen this man. They knew he was blind. Now he could see and was following You. How could they help but talk among themselves and wonder. It was amazing.
Thanks again Lord for Your healing touch.
Thank You for Luke’s account of this healing.
Thank You for this man’s faith to believe for the impossible.
Thank You that he gave thanks to You and followed You.
Thank You for the changes that healing make in our lives.
Thank You Lord.

And Jesus said to him, (blind man) “Receive your sight; your faith has made you well.” Luke 18:42
Thank You Lord for faith that believes for the impossible.
Thank You Lord for Your healing power.
Thank You that we are healed because we humble ourselves and we cry out to You.
Thank You that it doesn’t always have to be a physical healing because often Lord the physical challenges causes us to grow far deeper in our knowledge of You.

Thank You for always being there to hear our cries for help.
Thank You for knowing just what we need when we need it Lord.

And Jesus stopped, and commanded him (blind man) to be brought to Him; and when he came near, he asked him, “What do you want Me to do for you? He said, “Lord, let me receive my sight.” Luke 18:40, 41
Lord what an exciting time this must have been with all eyes on You and the blind man. Others had tried to silence him but he kept yelling louder and louder. Now You have stopped and ask that he be brought to You.
Thank You Lord for hearing us today when we cry out to You.
Thank You for this man’s faith.
Thank You that he said exactly what he needed.
Thank You for asking us to bring our requests to You. What a privilege!!!!
Thank You Lord.

And he (blind man) cried, “Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me!” Luke 19:38
Lord this man must have been shouting at the top of his lungs. I sure would have been.
He heard the crowd all around him. He knew You were near. He cried out to You.
Thank You Lord for this blind man’s faith.
Thank You for his hope.
Thank You Lord that he was not ashamed to cry out to You in the midst of a crowd.
Oh to be like him Lord in our faith and our cries.
Thank You for always being there to hear and answer.
Thank You Lord.

They (the crowd) told him (blind man), “Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.” Luke 18:37
Lord just reading this one verse has given me goose bumps as I think of how this man must have felt hearing that You were passing by.
There he was blind and begging and he knew that You had the power to change his whole life.
I can feel the excitement even today as I read and put myself in his place.
Thank You Lord for Your healing power today that is that same power as when this scripture was written.
Thank You that You are the same Lord that loves us just as You loved this man.
Thank You that You give us healing today when we call out to You.
Thank You Lord.
