They (the crowd) said to the woman, “It is no longer because of your words that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this is indeed the Savior of the world.” John 4:42
Lord it was the woman that brought this crowd to You and it was You that helped them see who You were. Today we can be the seed sowers but it is You that opens their blind eyes.
Thank You Lord for allowing us to come to You.
Thank You for those that share their light and help others see You.
Oh how blessed we are to follow You.
Thank You Lord.

And many more (Samaritans) believed because of His (Jesus) words. John 4:41
Thank You Lord for speaking to us.
Thank You that we have the Bible that records history.
Thank You for speaking to us through these written words.
Thank You for those moments in our lives when we are quiet and hear Your still small voice.
Thank You for allowing us to feel Your presence in nature and see Your handiwork.
Thank You Lord that even if we did not have any of these things we could still stand on the promise that tells us that You are always with us.
Thank You Lord.

So when the Samaritans came to Him, (Jesus) they asked Him to stay with them; and He stayed there two days. John 4:40
Thank You Lord that once again You show us Your love for all people.
Thank You for showing us how to pull down all the fences that would keep us bound by tradition or what others will think.
Thank You for the freedom to live and love and believe.
Oh what a change You make when we give our lives to You.
Thank You Lord.

Many Samaritans from that city believed in Him (Jesus) because of the woman’s (at the well) testimony, “He told me all that I ever did.” John 4:39
Witnessing….. Telling another what has happened in your life and why there are changes. Showing by word and by example what changes the Lord can make in a life when we ask Him to be Lord of our life.
Thank You Lord that You are always with us cheering us on.
Thank You for the many gifts You give us that help us through life.
Thank You for allowing us to share our faith.
Thank You for those that touch our lives and help us draw closer to You.
Thank You for Your presence and peace.
Thank You Lord.

(Jesus continued) “I sent you to reap that for which you did not labor; others have labored, and you have entered into their labor.”
John 4:38
Lord my mind immediately went to all the gifts I have been given in my lifetime because there was someone that labored so I could reap the reward. Penicillin made my life better when I was a child whenever I had swollen glands. Your word goes out over this computer because of the many hours that were spent figuring out what I could never figure out in a lifetime. Two little examples of reaping rewards because someone else labored.
Lord You came to earth and gave Your life so I could reap the reward of eternal life. Thank You. How can I ever say ‘thank You’ enough.
Thank You for the wisdom and knowledge You impart and then allow us to use each day.
We are so, so blessed Lord because You love us with Your unconditional love.
Thank You Lord.

(Jesus continued) “He who reaps receives wages and gathers fruit for eternal life, so that sower and reaper may rejoice together. For here the saying holds true, ‘One sows and another reaps.’” John 4:36, 37
Lord what wonderful verses these are. They show us the joy of working together. In our workplaces today it is all about team work. This is not new to You Lord. We see the joy of working together for Your good very clearly in these verses.
Thank You Lord for teaching us that sowers and reapers are equal in Your sight. Both can rejoice. Both are doing Your will.
Thank You for helping us want to do what You want for our lives.
Thank You that some of us are sowers and some are reapers because that is what You have called us to be.
Oh how blessed we are to have You use us and love us unconditionally.
Thank You Lord.

(Jesus continued after telling his disciples that His food was to be about His Father’s work.) “Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest’? I tell you, lift up your eyes and see how the fields are already white for harvest.” John 4:35
Lord this verse brings me back to the wonderful time in my life when I had my TV program called ‘Harvest Fields.” You gave me that name because You wanted me to share that with my audience. You reminded me each time I did a program of Your calling to each of us. You showed me over and over as I shared with the audience how they were in their ‘harvest field’ no matter where they were or what they were doing. I no longer do that program because You have called me into a different ‘harvest field.’ Oh yes, Lord it is often hard to change when we love something so much but You call us on and we… like You ….must obey.
Thank You Lord that You are our example because while here on earth it was not ‘all about You’ it was about Your calling to do all that You were here to do.
Thank You for coming to die for our sin to give us life eternal.
Thank You for helping us see You for who and what You are and striving to become more and more like You.
Oh how blessed we are to be able to sit at Your feet and learn.
Thank You Lord.

Jesus said to them, (disciples) “My food is to do the will of Him who sent me, and to accomplish His work.” John 4:34
Oh to be like You Lord. Oh to be full of Your love and understanding.
Thank You for Your example of unconditional love.
Thank You for loving us so much that You came to earth for us.
We are truly blessed.
Thank You!!! Thank You Lord.

But He (Jesus) said to them, (disciples) “I have food to eat which you do not know.” So the disciples said to one another, “Has anyone brought Him food?” John 4:32, 33
Lord once again You show us what is important in life. It wasn’t to eat but to be about Your Father’s business. The disciples didn’t understand what You were saying. We understand today because we have history and the Bible to tell us.
Lord, thank You for faith that believes when it cannot see.
Thank You for these disciples that were following You.
Thank You for their questions.
Thank You for their love and devotion to You Lord.
How blessed these men were to be a part of Your life.
How blessed we are Lord to have You as our Lord and Savior.
Thank You Lord.

Meanwhile the disciples besought Him, (Jesus) saying, “Rabbi eat.” John 4:31
Thank You Lord for being about Your Father’s business.
Thank You that it didn’t matter that You didn’t want to stop to eat because You had more important things to accomplish.
Oh to be like You Lord and catch the vision.
Thank You that when we follow You You change us from the inside out.
Thank You Lord.
