So he (official with the dieing son) ask them (servants) the hour when he (son) began to mend, and they said to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.” John 4:53
Thank You Lord for Your healing touch.
Thank You for this official’s confidence in You to ask for healing for his son.
Thank You for the official’s obedience in obeying You.
Lord we have much to learn and much to thank You for.

Lord it is interesting to see this man’s faith in you. His son was dieing and You were his only hope. He went to You to ask You to come heal his son. You told the man to go home. He trusted You and went and found his son was still alive. What hope! What faith! What trust!
Thanks You Lord that You are the same Lord today.
Thank You for giving each of us – hope – faith and trust.

Jesus said to him, (the official with the dieing son) “Go your son will live.” The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him and went his way. John 4:50
Now that is faith in action! Wow! Jesus spoke and he believed him and went his way.
Thank You Lord for faith that believes.
Thank You for this official’s faith that heard Your word and believed what You said.
Thank You for our faith that believes You are alive even though we have never seen You.
Thank You that when we ask You give us more faith and help us when we want to believe.

The official said to Him, (Jesus) “Sir, come down before my child dies.” John 4:49
Lord once again we see the faith of the official whose son was dieing. He knew You could heal and he was not going to give up without You healing him.
Thank You Lord for faith that believes.
Thank You for persistence.
Thank You that You were listening to him.
Thank You that You hear us today when we cry out to You.

Lord we are no different today. Seeing is believing. I must remember that these people did not know ‘the rest of the story.’ They were living the history we are reading about today.
Thank You Lord that You show us each day how to draw closer to You.
Thank You for continuing to call us to Yourself.

(And at Capernaum there was an official whose son was ill.) When he heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee, he went and begged Him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death. John 4:47
Thank You Lord for this official’s faith.
We see it and want it too.
He begged you to come heal his son. He never said to You – if you can – he said – come heal my son. What faith! He believed! He KNEW!
Thank You for telling us that if we have faith the grain of a mustard seed we can move mountains.
Thank You for a faith that believes and trusts because it KNOWS that You are there guiding and directing because we ask You to.

So He (Jesus) came again to Cana in Galilee, where He had made the water wine. And at Capernaum there was an official whose son was ill. John 4:46
Thank You Lord for visiting all these different places and teaching us in each of them.
Thank You for the hope You brought to people then and the hope You bring us today.
Thank You for Your healing touch to those that came to You.
Thank You for Your healing touch for us today too.

So when He (Jesus) came to Galilee, the Galileans welcomed Him, having seen all that He had done in Jerusalem at the feast, for they too had gone to the feast. John 4:45
Lord no matter where You went everyone knew who You were and gathered to see and hear what You had to say. As You moved from place to place a crowd always gathered. Everyone was curious.
Thank You Lord for John’s account of Your time here on earth.
Thank You for coming to earth for us.
Thank You for all we know about You today because of the written pages.
Thank You for calling us all to come follow You.

For Jesus Himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country. John 4:44
Lord it is very interesting that even today those that are around a person somehow miss the beauty of who they truly are. You had done such wonderful things and yet those in Your own country could not accept it. Hard to understand Lord but we see it happening around us today too. And so You left that area and went to another town.
Thank You Lord for the wisdom You give us.
Thank You that You so often call us on and our lives change.
Thank You for Your gift of always being with us.
Thank You for Your guidance and love….an unconditional love.
