And He (Jesus) sighed deeply in His spirit, and said, “Why does this generation seek a sign? Truly I say to you, no sign shall be given to this generation.” Mark 8:12
Lord the Pharisees were asking for a sign to help them believe You were truly the Son of God. They were also looking for a way to trip You up so they could do away with You. They had seen many wonderful things that You had done and yet they asked for another sign. Now You were telling them they would not get one.
Lord even if You would have given them another sign they would have used it to turn against You. They didn’t want a sign they wanted to destroy You and You knew it.
Thank You Lord for revealing to us who You are without signs By faith we accepted You and know that You are who You said You were. We are Your children and we love You Lord. Oh how we thank You for dying for us. Thank You.
Thank You Lord.

The Pharisees came and began to argue with Him, (Jesus) seeking from Him a sign from heaven, to test Him. Mark 8:11
Lord, how I thank You that I believed as a child that You were who You said You were.
Thank You for faith to believe.
What a gift … What a blessing.
Thank You Lord.

And He (Jesus) commanded the crowd to sit down on the ground; and He took the seven loaves, and having given thanks He broke them and gave them to His disciples to set before the people; and they set them before the crowd. And they had a few small fish; and having blessed them, He commanded that these also should be set before them. And they ate, and were satisfied; and they took up the broken pieces left over, seven baskets full. And there were about four thousand people. And He sent them away and immediately He got into the boat with His disciples, and went to the district of Dalmanutha. Mark 8:6 – 10
What can I say Lord. I stand in awe. You are that same Lord today meeting all our needs. Thank You!
Thank You Lord.

And He (Jesus) asked them, (His disciples) “How many loaves have you?” They said, “Seven.” Mark 8:5
Lord Your disciples had seen You feed 5,000 men plus woman and children so this request certainly was not a surprise. And yet ….they must have wondered….could something so unusual happen again.
Thank You Lord for the many times You come to us with Your healing touch…..Your peace….Your forgiveness….You unconditional love. Oh how we thank and praise You Lord. Thank You.
Thank You Lord.

And His (Jesus) disciples answered Him, “How can one feed these men with bread here in the desert!” Mark 8:4
Lord You told Your disciples that You had compassion on these people that had been with You three days and they needed something to eat. Now Your disciples were asking You how they could feed so many since they were in the desert.
Thank You Lord that nothing is too hard for You. As this story unfolds verse by verse we will learn how You fed these people.
Thank You Lord for the way You meet our needs today. You are always with us and we thank You.
Thank You Lord.

In those days, when again a great crowd had gathered, and they had nothing to eat, He (Jesus) called His disciples to Him, and said to them, “I have compassion on the crowd, because they have been with me now three days, and have nothing to eat; and if I send them away hungry to their homes, they will faint on the way; and some of them have come a long way.” Mark 8:1 – 3
Lord it seems in the world today we are losing the art of compassion. It seems to me today it is becoming a self centered world that is all about ‘me.’
Thank You for being our example Lord.
Thank You for helping us to reflect upon all You have given us.
Thank You Lord.

And they (all the people watching) were astonished beyond measure saying, “He (Jesus) has done all things well; He even makes the deaf hear and the dumb speak.” Mark 7:37
Lord, nothing was too hard for You and nothing is too hard for You today. You showed those alive at that time there was nothing You could not do or would not do. I am sure as the people watched they were in awe.
Thank You Lord for the many miracles we see today too. You give strength to the weary. You give joy again to the broken hearted. You promised we would all have a peace in our lives that passes all understanding. Oh how we thank You for each and every gift. Thank You.
Thank You Lord.

And He (Jesus) charged them to tell no one; (about the healing of the man that was deaf and couldn’t speak well) but the more He charged them, the more zealously they proclaimed it. Mark 7:36
Thank You Lord for showing us Your healing power and Your compassion.
Oh how I thank You for being here for me too. Thank You for prayer. Thank You for peace. Thank you for Your comfort. Oh how blessed we are Lord because of You.
Thank You Lord.

And taking him (the man who was deaf with a speech impediment) aside from the multitude privately, He (Jesus) put His fingers into His ears, and He spat and touched his tongue; and looking up to heaven, He sighed, and said to him, “Ephphatha,” that is, “Be opened.” And his ears were opened, his tongue was released, and he spoke plainly. Mark 7:33 – 35
Lord this was another amazing event that was awesome for the man that was deaf and couldn’t speak properly. No wonder everyone was following You. I would have loved to have been there too. Lives were drastically changed.
Thank You Lord for all that You do for us and all that You mean to us.
We can read of Your love and compassion and know You are that same Lord today. Thank You.
Thank You Lord.

Then He (Jesus) returned from the region of Tyre, and went through Sidon to the Sea of Galilee, through the region of the Decapolis. And they brought to Him a man who was deaf and had an impediment in his speech; and they besought Him to lay His hand upon Him. Mark 7:31, 32
Lord here you are in another town. The story is the same but the people are different. This time it is a man that needs Your healing touch. How wonderful that someone was with him to ask for his healing. Thank You Lord for people that love us enough to help us.
Thank You for those in my life that are there for me with their prayers and their love. What a wonderful gift they are.
Lord once again I thank You for Your healing touch. Oh how we need You.
Thank You …thank You….thank You.
Thank You Lord.
