And Jesus went on with His disciples, to the villages of Caesarea Philippi; and on the way He asked His disciples, “Who do men say that I am?” Mark 8:27
Lord there are many today that would ask the same questions You asked – ‘who is this Jesus….this man that claims to be the Son of God.’
Thank You Lord for helping us see and know who You are.
Thank You for faith to believe.
We are oh so blessed to know You and love You. Oh how we thank You.
Thank You Lord

And He (Jesus) sent him (blind man) away to his home, saying, “Do not even enter the village.” Mark 8:26
Lord how could this healed blind man not go through the village shouting the good news. He had been healed. He was a different man since he had met You.
Lord we too are different when we meet You. Our lives are changed. Our desires change to desires that want to please You. Oh certainly we are not perfect because it is a process but the desire is certainly within us.
Thank You for Your unconditional love that picks us up and puts our feet on the solid ground. Oh how we love You and love to please You. Thank You for always being there for us.
Thank You Lord.

Then again He (Jesus) laid His hands upon his (blind man) eyes; and he looked intently and was restored, and saw everything clearly. Mark 8:25
Lord this was an interesting healing. First this blind man saw men as tall as trees walking. Then You laid Your hands upon him again and now his sight was restored. I’m not quite sure what this meant back then but today it says to me never give up. If our healing isn’t complete keep asking and trusting because it doesn’t always come in one instance.
Lord we thank You for the many ways You bring healing to our lives. Sometimes it is in an instant and those are certainly what we all ask for. BUT ….often You have something to teach us through whatever we are enduring.
The wonderful news Lord is the fact – yes fact – that You will be right there with us to help and guide us. Oh what a gift. Oh what a blessing. Thank You.
Thank You Lord.

And he (the blind man) looked up and said, “I see men; but they look like trees, walking.” Mark 8:24
Thank You Lord for Your healing touch.
Thank You for Mark’s account of this healing.
I can hardly image how this blind man must have felt when he could see. How he must have praised and thanked You.
We too praise and thank You for all Your miracles in our lives.
Thank you. Thank You Lord.

And He (Jesus) took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the village; and when He had spit on his eyes and laid His hands upon him, He said him, “Do you see anything?” Mark 8:23
Lord, so often even today Your healing come in strange ways. This was certainly very different….’spit on his eyes and laid Your hands upon him’….. Seems a bit of a strange way to cause someone to be healed BUT the key to this story for me is the faith this blind man had.
You took his hand and let him outside the village. How excited this man must have felt but on the other hand if I were him I would have wonder why You couldn’t heal me right there. Why were You taking me out of the village…..
Thank You Lord for the gift of faith.
Thank You that when we know You are there we never question Your actions or motives. We just follow and trust. Strange as it may look to those around us. We know You are leading and in control.
You are there! You lead us when we ask You to. Oh how blessed we are. Thank You.
Thank You Lord.

And they came to Bethsaida. And some of the people brought to Him (Jesus) a blind man, and begged Him to touch him. Mark 8:22
Lord no matter where You went there were those that found out You were there and brought those that needed healing to You.
Thank You Lord for Your healing touch. We all need it in our lives and thank You for it.
Thank You Lord.

(Jesus continued talking with His Disciples that were concerned because they had forgotten to bring bread.) “Having eyes do you not see, and having ears do you not hear? And do you not remember? When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up? They said to Him, “Twelve.” And the seven for the four thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up? And they said to Him, “Seven.” And He said to them, “Do you not yet understand?” Mark 8:18 – 21
Lord it must have been a bit disappointing for You when Your disciples were so concerned about not having bread. There were so many things that happened because of You and yet they didn’t have the faith to believe that You could provide their food.
Lord so often we are just like the disciples. We are fearful just like they were. We don’t trust … even though You have always been there for us. Oh how we thank You for Your unconditional love even though we don’t deserve it.
Thank You.
Thank You Lord.

And He (Jesus) cautioned them, saying “Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.” And they (disciples) discussed it with one another, saying “We have no bread.” And being aware of it, Jesus said to them, “Why do you discuss the fact that you have no bread? Do you not yet perceive or understand? Are your hearts hardened?” Mark 8:15 – 17
Lord it seems the disciples didn’t fully understand what You were saying to them or they wanted to ignore it I’m not sure which it was. You wanted them to see that You were capable of meeting their need.
Thank You Lord for meeting our needs. You are only a prayer away and oh how we appreciate that fact.
Thank You Lord.

Now they (Jesus disciples) had forgotten to bring bread; and they had only one loaf with them in the boat. Mark 8:14
Lord it is interesting to read that Your disciples forgot something. They were just like we are. We often forget too.
The good news is Lord that You NEVER forget us. Oh how grateful we are that You are there for us all the time.
Thank You! Thank You Lord.

And He (Jesus) left them, and getting into the boat again He departed to the other side. Mark 8:13
Lord it seems the only way You could change a situation was to get into the boat and move on. The Pharisees were trying everything they could to find something to allow them to get rid of You. You knew their motives. You saw their plots.
Thank You Lord for the assurance that You will never leave us that love You or forsake us.
We have Your promise Lord and I thank You for it. We are secure in Your unconditional love. Thank You.
Thank You Lord.
