And He (Jesus) said to her, (woman with the demonic daughter) “For this saying You may go Your way; the demon has left your daughter.” And she went home, and found the child lying in bed, and the demon gone. Mark 7:29, 30
Lord it was these kinds of healing that caused the crowds to follow You. This woman came to You with her need and You answered her request. Her daughter had the demon cast out of her.
Thank You Lord for the many times You have answered our requests and we have been healed. Healed of a broken heart. Healed from discouragement. Healed both physically and emotionally. Healed by a caring touch. Lord we thank You for each healing we have received and are going to receive. Thank You.
Thank You Lord.

And He (Jesus) said to her, (woman that wanted Jesus to cast the demon out of her daughter) “Let the children first be fed, for it is not right to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.” But she answered Him, “Yes, Lord; yet even the dogs under the table eat the children’s crumbs.” Mark 7:27, 28
Lord it is amazing how our minds can act so quickly when we need them to. This woman needed an answer and she had a great come back for You. She wanted her daughter healed. She knew You were the only option. She had to act quickly.
Thank You Lord for our minds and the wonderful way they work. They are truly amazing.
Lord thank You for Your healing touch. Oh how we need it Lord. We love You Lord. Oh how we need Your unconditional love. Thank You.
Thank You Lord.

Now the woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by birth. And she begged Him (Jesus) to cast the demon out of her daughter. Mark 7:26
Lord as I am reading this scripture the thought is going through my mind …..who of us has not begged You for something. Who of us has not realized that we are powerless over a situation. Who of us have not wanted to change a situation to suit what ‘we’ felt was how life should be. And then the realization comes that You truly are in control. You are with us to help us through that difficult time. You love us and want the very best for our lives. You are teaching us to trust You hard as it often is.
Thank You Lord for Your comforting touch. Thank You for Your unconditional love. Thank You for Your patience with us as we so often struggle. We have so much to thank You for Lord and we do thank You.
Thank You Lord.

But immediately a woman, whose little daughter was possessed by an unclean spirit, heard of Him (Jesus) and came and fell down at His feet. Mark 7:25
Lord, I am sure there were many people that were hoping and praying that You would pass their way.
I can only imagine how desperate this woman was. She must have been very excited when someone casually mentioned to her that they had heard Jesus was in the town. This was her chance. This was her only hope. AND now You were there If only she could get Your attention.
Thank You Lord that You are always there for us. We are never alone. Oh how I thank You.
Thank You Lord. Thank You.

And from there He (Jesus) arose and went away to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And He entered a house, and would not have anyone know it; yet He could not be hid. Mark 7:24
Lord it was very hard for You to ever be alone. You tried to be and wanted to be but everyone wanted to be near You because so many wonderful things were happening. The sick were healed. The blind could see. The lame could walk. There were many that were free of demons…. It was truly an exciting uplifting time for everyone and they all wanted to be near You.
And Lord as we know You better and better we too are excited for all You are doing in our lives. Oh how we thank You.
Thank You Lord.

And He (Jesus) said, “What comes out of a man is what defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, fornication, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, licentiousness, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and they defile a man.” Mark 7:20 -23
Lord, You certainly did not paint a very pretty picture here. I think You were showing them what our hearts are truly like. Oh how we need You Lord.
I praise and thank You Lord that You are a forgiving, helping Lord. Thank You for always being there for me to pick up the pieces and show me a better way. I am oh so blessed to know You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You.
Thank You Lord.

And He (Jesus) said to them, (His disciples) “Then are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a man from outside cannot defile him, since it enters, not his heart but his stomach, and so passes on?.” (Thus He declared all foods clean.) Mark 7:18, 19
Lord how wonderfully You made us.
Thank You Lord for the gift of life.
Thank You that we can rest in peace knowing that You are in control. Oh how we thank You. Oh how we praise You.
Thank You Lord.

And when He (Jesus) had entered the house, and left the people, His disciples asked Him about the parable. Mark 7:17
Lord Your disciples knew You so well and yet they still had questions. You were there to give Your answer and You are with us today to give us our answers too. Thank You Lord for Your wisdom. We are oh so very, very blessed. Thank You.
Thank You Lord.

And He (Jesus) called the people to Him again, and said to them, “Hear me, all of you, and understand: there is nothing outside of man which by going into him can defile him; but the things which come out of a man are what defiles him.” Mark 7:14 – 16
Lord You were telling this crowd to be careful of what they say. These are certainly words of wisdom for us today too. Oh how we need to listen to You Lord. Thank You for being with us and giving us Your peace. Oh how we thank You.
Thank You Lord.

And He (Jesus) said to them, (Pharisees) “You have a fine way of rejecting the commandment of God, in order to keep your tradition! For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother’ and, ‘He who speaks evil of father or mother, let him surely die;’ but you say, ‘If a man tell his father or his mother, ‘What you would have gained from Me is Corban’ (that is, given to God)’—then you no longer permit him to do anything for his father or mother, thus making void the word of God through your tradition which you hand on. And many such things you do.” Mark 7:9 – 13
Thank You Lord for the gift of Your wisdom and knowledge. We look to You Lord and we trust You for our answers in life. You are always there and oh how grateful we are.
Thank You. Thank You Lord.
