He (Jesus) answered them, (Pharisees) “What did Moses command you?” (concerning divorce) Mark 10:3
Lord You always answered with such wisdom. We have much to learn from You and the way You answered. You answered them with a question.
Thank You Lord that we always have You to look to for answers.
Thank You for guiding and directing us each step of the way in our lives.
Oh how fortunate we are Lord and we thank You.
Thank You Lord.

And Pharisees came up and in order to test Him (Jesus) asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?” Mark 10:2
Lord the Pharisees were always trying to discredit You. They looked for any way they could to find something wrong with what You were saying.
Thank You Lord for being true to Your word.
Thank You for loving us unconditionally.
Oh how wonderful to know You Lord.
Thank You. Thank You Lord.

And He (Jesus) left there (Capernaum) and went to the Jordan and crowds gathered to Him again; and again, as His custom was, He taught them. Mark 10:1
Thank You Lord for ears to hear and hearts that are open to accept Your teaching.
All were gathering to listen to You when You went anywhere while on this earth.
Today we have the opportunity to read and listen to Your voice within teaching us as we sit at Your feet.
I am there right now Lord and I thank You for Your words of wisdom and my open heart to listen and obey.
Oh what a gift. Oh what a joy. It is priceless Lord and I thank You.
Thank You Lord…. Thank You.

For every one will be salted with fire. Salt is good; but if the salt has lost its saltiness, how will you season it? Have salt in yourselves and be at peace with one another. Mark 9:49, 50
Thank You Lord for giving us the desire to continue to stay close to You.
Lord it is when we walk and talk with You that our life changes.
Thank You for You presence in our lives .
Oh how blessed we are and we thank You.

And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out; it is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into hell, where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched. Mark 9:47, 48
Lord once again You are giving a strong warning to Your disciples. First you told them to guard their foot, next it was their hands and then it was their eye.
Thank You Lord for Your love for us. Thank You that You care more about us than we often care about ourselves.
How blessed we are to call You Lord and we thank You for always being there for us.
Thank You.
Thank You Lord.

(Jesus continued) “And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off; it is better for you to enter life lame than with two feet to be thrown into hell. Mark 9:45, 46
Lord with the temptation all around us it is very easy to follow in the wrong paths without Your help and Your guidance. I’m so glad I have You to guide me and protect me. I have nothing to fear for You are with me every step of the way.

(Jesus continued) “And if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off; it is better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go to hell, to the unquenchable fire. Mark 9:43, 44
Lord, these were pretty strong warning You were giving the crowd that were listening. AND they are the very same warning You are giving us today. Temptation was all around in the days when You were on this earth and they are all around us today too.
Thank You for helping us keep our eyes upon You and what You want for our lives.
Thank You for the stern warnings that wake us all up.
You love us Lord and we praise and thank You.
Thank You Lord.

(Jesus continued) “Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go to hell, to the unquenchable fire. Mark 9:42
Lord this scripture show us what value a child has to You. You loved the little children and certainly told those that listening what You thought of those that would cause any harm to a child.
Thank You Lord for the joy children bring to our lives. Each one is unique. Each one is precious.
Thank You for teaching us how to love as You love. We never stop learning and we thank You Lord.
Thank You. Thank You Lord.

(Jesus continued) “For truly, I say to you, whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because you bear the name of Christ, will by no means lose his reward.” Mark 9:41
Lord there seems to be something about giving that blesses our souls. It doesn’t matter if the gift is forgiveness, compassion, money, time or any of the things on a long, long list – it all gives us a sense of joy in doing for someone outside of ourselves. What an awesome gift You have given us Lord and we thank You.
Thank You Lord. Thank You….
