And they (Jesus and His disciples) came to Jerusalem. And He (Jesus) entered the temple and began to drive out those who sold and those who bought in the temple, and He overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons; and He would not allow anyone to carry anything through the temple. Mark 11:15, 16
Lord whenever we see pictures of this they are portrayed with You being very angry and doing everything in a fit of rage. After all this was Your Father’s house. They were making a mockery of it. It was all about making money. You could not let them get by with it.
Thank You Lord for teaching us that we need to be about our Father’s business too. There are also things we cannot tolerate. Keep our eyes upon You Lord. We need Your guidance and direction and we thank You for always being there to listen. We are so, so blessed. Thank You.
Thank You Lord.

On the following day, when they (Jesus and disciples) came from Bethany, He (Jesus) was hungry. And seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, He went to see if He could find anything on it. When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. And He said to it, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And His disciples heard it. Mark 11:12 -14
Interesting scripture Lord. Mark is an interesting writer. What are we to learn from this Lord.
First I see You were like we are when we are hungry. Often we are very impatient. We want to eat something right away. Our patients often wear very thin if we are at a restaurant and they take too long.
Seems I see this impatience with the fig tree. There was nothing there to eat.
Perhaps this is to show us that You understand how we feel when things don’t go our way. Things didn’t always go Your way on this earth either. Perhaps this is where Your understanding and Your unconditional love comes into play for us Lord.
Thank You for Your love for us in spite of our shortcomings. You love us unconditionally and we thank You.
Thank You Lord.

And He (Jesus) entered Jerusalem, and went into the temple; and when He had looked round at everything, as it was already late, He went out to Bethany with the twelve. Mark 11:11
Lord this is an interesting verse. I’m not sure why Mark wrote it. You came into Jerusalem to go to the temple to look around at everything in it. What were You looking for? Why was that important enough for Mark to write about it. I have no answers. The only thought that comes to my mine is that this was Your Father’s place of worship. You were interested in being sure Your Father’s place of worship had everything in order. It must have been in order because you looked and left.
Thank You Lord for our places of worship and the fact that we are free to worship any time. We are truly blessed and yet we take it so for granted. Thank You for reminding us today that we have much to thank and praise You for. AND we do thank You.
Thank You Lord. Thank You.

(As Jesus rode on the colt) And many spread their garments on the road, and other spread leafy branches which they had cut from the fields. And those who went before and those who followed cried out, “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the kingdom of our father David that is coming! Hosanna in the highest!” Mark 11:8 – 10
Lord reading this I can feel the excitement in the air. Someone very special was riding on that colt. Someone that the people were so excited about that they all got caught up in throwing their garments down before Him. It was out of gratitude and love.
Lord today those of us that adore You often are overwhelmed with these same feelings. We see You at work in our lives and the lives of others and stand in awe. It is because of You that our lives are changed. Oh how we thank You ….oh how we praise You. You are our Lord. Thank You!
Thank You Lord.

And they brought the colt to Jesus, and threw their garments on it; and He sat upon it. Mark 11:7
Lord ….just as You had said the colt was there and they brought it to You. Now You were sitting on it. We all know what comes next because it is the Easter story.
Thank You Lord for coming to earth to show us how to live. Oh how we need You.
Thank You Lord.

And they (2 of Jesus disciples) went away, and found a colt tied at the door out in the open street; and they untied it. And those who stood there said to them, “What are you doing, untying the colt.” And they told them what Jesus had said and they let them go. Mark 11:4 – 6
Lord first of all I see how obedient these two disciples were. Thank You for obedience. Thank You for hearts that are willing to do what You ask them to do.
These men did exactly as you asked and the results were just as you said they would be.
Thank You Lord for helping us do whatever You ask. The rewards are ours and we are grateful.
Thank You. Thank You Lord.

(Jesus told his disciples -”Go into the village opposite you and immediately as you enter it you will find a colt tied on which no one has ever sat; untie it and bring it.”) “If anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord has need of it and will send it back here immediately.’” Mark 11:3
Lord this was a very interesting event to look at today in light of all we know and understand.
I don’t know who this colt belonged to but if that were in our society today and someone just went and untied a colt and took it someone would sure be asking what you were doing. And then second it is interesting that they were to say the ‘Lord’ has need of it.’ Obviously from that statement the person would know who the ‘Lord’ was.
Lord what I see in this is that often the disciples didn’t understand the total picture and today we often don’t understand the total picture either. AND they didn’t have to understand it just as we don’t have to understand it. It didn’t have to make sense to them and it doesn’t have to make sense to us. All we need to do is obey. We need to listen to You and obey. You know the end results and the reasons.
Thank You Lord that we can trust You and what a wonderful gift that truly is.
Thank You. Thank You Lord.

And when they (Jesus and His disciples) drew near to Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, He sent two of His disciples, and said to them, “”Go into the village opposite you and immediately as you enter it you will find a colt tied on which no one has ever sat; untie it and bring it. Mark 11:1, 2
Lord You never stayed in one place but were always moving from town to town. It was a good thing because many had the opportunity to have their lives changed when they listened to You.
Lord our lives are changed because of You and we thank You.
Thank You Lord.

And Jesus said to him, (blind beggar) “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed him on the way. Mark 10:53
Lord how exciting for this blind man to now be seeing. And now he was choosing to follow You. Those that were around him watching it all take place must have been so excited and happy too.
Once he was blind and now he could see. His life was transformed. He was given a new outlook on life.
Oh how we thank and praise You today Lord for the changes we see in our own lives as we keep our eyes upon You.
Thank You Lord.

And Jesus said to him, (blind beggar) “What do you want Me to do for you? And the blind man said to Him, “Master, let me receive my sight.” Mark 10:51
Lord this man must have been so excited when You asked him what he wanted You to do. You knew very well what he needed and yet You asked him what he wanted.
Thank You Lord for asking us to bring our request to You. You are there…You care…You love us with a love that is unconditional. Oh how we thank You.
Thank You Lord.
