Thought For Today

Misfortune pursues sinners but prosperity rewards the righteous. Proverbs 13:21

Lord this verse certainly does not mean that here on earth we will also not have the same things happen with us that happens with those that do not love You and follow You. We certainly have many of the same things happen with us. BUT the good news is that You are always with us to help us through each trial and through them draw closer to You. So often we learn and see things so differently when we have to trust only in You.

Thank You Lord that You are always there. Never leaving us. You are always only a prayer away. Oh how grateful we are. Thank You.

He who walks with the wise men become wise but the companion of fools will suffer harm. Proverbs 13:20

Lord we are getting this wisdom from Solomon the man You had given great wisdom to. We are walking with the wise. We are listening to what he has to say to us. Thank You for his wisdom and thank You for what we are learning from him. These are Your seeds Lord planted in our heart that will grow and grow and make us more like You. Oh how we thank You.

A desire fulfilled is sweet to the soul but to turn away from evil is an abomination to fools. Proverbs 13:19

Thank You Lord for the joy of having the desire of our hearts met. Truly it is a sweet gift to our soul. It goes to the very depths of us when a dream is fulfilled. Thank You for each and every time You give us what You know is the best thing for our lives.

Lord I have to admit though that often I don’t realize what a wonderful gift You are giving me until way after the fact. Thank You for knowing what is best for my life and providing it. Thank You for helping me see and understand….. often years and years later. Often Lord disappointments at the times we can see were great gifts as the years of our lives unfold. You were there working out everything for our good all along even though we didn’t know it or understand it.

Today we just want to thank You for all You are bringing to pass in our lives to bring honor and glory to Your name. Oh how we thank You.

Thank You Lord that we have You to go to. There are those time when we just don’t understand or see things until You point them out to us. It is by walking and talking with You that our lives are changed into Your likeness. What a gift. What a blessing. Oh how we thank You.

Thank You Lord for those that bring the message of the gospel. Thank You for the healing it brings.

Thank You for those that bring peace to us just by being in their presence. They are Your gift to us and we thank You for their love for You.

Thank You for asking us to come to You for knowledge.

Thank You for guiding and directing us and sending just the right person or information when we trust You and ask Your help.

You are with us to guide us and we thank You.

Good sense wins favor but the way of the faithless is their ruin. Proverbs 13:15

Lord we all are willing to listen to those that have good sense. They are the people we turn to when we want to ‘bounce’ something off someone. We want to hear ourselves say what we are thinking and hear what the other person thinks. AND yes we do choose that one that has ‘good sense’ …..wisdom…..understanding…..compassion.

Thank You Lord for each person in my life that possesses those qualities. What a true gift they are and I thank You for each one of them.

Thank You Lord for the lessons we learn every day.

Thank You for the fountain of life. And Lord what a beautiful fountain that is when we trust in You.

Thank You that the snare of death has been defeated. We are free and we thank and praise You. Thank You for the gift of eternal life.
