“Be still and know that I am God. I am exalted among the nations, I am exalted in the earth!” Psalms 46:10

Lord thank You for this verse today. It has always been one of my favorites. Today it continues to remind me to slow down….think about You and Your love for me. Be still….take deep breaths….thank and praise You. You are here with me today and I thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; He utters His voice, the earth melts. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Psalms 46:6, 7

Thank You Lord for being ‘with us’ and being our ‘refuge.’ Lord once again we praise and thank You that we are never without You. You are always with us and You are always our refuge and strength. Today we look to You with confidence . Thank You for being with us and filling our lives with Your joy and Your peace.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God will help her right early. Psalms 46:4, 5

Thank You Lord for always being in the midst. You always know and You are always there to help. Thank You for Your love for us. Thank You for being with us today. We love You Lord and thank You for today.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

(God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.) Therefore we will not fear though the earth should change, though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble with tumult. Psalms 46:2, 3

Lord our world has changed and is continuing to change because of the virus. We are all called to make the adjustments to each change… hard as some of them are.

In this verse all these thing mentioned are things that could happen on the earth. They too will affect how we live. In the midst of all of this You are with us and that is why we are told not to fear. You see it all. You are our refuge and our strength. You are the ‘safe’ place we can run to and find peace. That peace that passes all human understanding. That peace that knows You are there in the midst of it all calling us to PEACE. Oh how we praise and thank You for Your peace.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

Gird your sword upon your thigh, O mighty one, in your glory and majesty! In your majesty ride forth victoriously for the cause of the truth and to defend the right; let your right hand teach you dread deeds! Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the king’s enemies; the peoples fall under you. Your divine throne endures forever and ever. Your royal scepter is a scepter of equity; you love righteousness and hate wickedness. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows; your robes are all fragrant with myrrh and aloes and cassia. From ivory palaces stringed instruments make you glad; daughters of kings are among your ladies of honor; at your right hand stands the queen in gold of Ophir. Psalms 45:3 – 9

Lord … what an awesome Lord You are. Thank You for being our Lord and caring about everything about us. We humbly bow and thank and praise You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

My heart overflows with a goodly theme; I address my verses to the king; my tongue is like the pen of a ready scribe. You are the fairest of the sons of men; grace is poured upon your lips; therefore God has blessed you forever. Psalms 45:1, 2

Lord we thank You for Your many gifts and blessings. Your blessings are all around us. Lord I take so much for granted. BUT …when I stop and evaluate my life I see over and over Your many, many blessing. Thank You for each and every one of them Lord.

Thank You Lord

Amen

Rouse thyself! Why sleepest Thou, O Lord! Awake! Do not cast us off forever! Why dost Thou hide Thy face? Why dost Thou forget our affliction and oppression? For our soul is bowed down to the dust; our body cleaves to the ground. Rise up, come to our help! Deliver us for the sake of Thy steadfast love! Psalms 44:23 – 26

Lord there are times we like David wonder if You are hearing and where is Your answer. There is so much in our lives that we don’t understand and may never understand. It is times like that we have to draw upon our knowledge of who You are and what You are calling us to. Our faith enables us to hold on to Your promises. Our faith shows us that You are ALWAYS with us even when we don’t feel like You are there. Feelings are not fact they are just feelings. We KNOW You ARE with us each moment of every day and we thank You. How wonderful it is to know that today.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

If we had forgotten the name of our God, or spread forth our hands to a strange god, would not God discover this? For he know the secrets of the heart. Nay, for Thy sake we are slain all the day long, and accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Psalms 44:20 – 22

Thank You Lord for knowing the secret of our hearts. Thank You for caring about us. Thank You for caring about me. Thank You for ALWAYS hearing my prayers. I love You Lord and thank You for loving me.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

Our heart has not turned back, nor have our steps departed from Thy way, that Thou shouldst have broken us in the place of jackals, and covered us with deep darkness. Psalms 45:18, 19

Lord…we like Job of old have felt like David does. He was doing everything right and yet he wondered where You were and why the things were happening to him. He didn’t understand and once again tells You what he thinks.

Thank You Lord that we don’t have to understand everything in life. There are lots of things we don’t like or understand. We all are going through changes in our lives because of COVID-19. Do we like it? No …. Do we understand it? No…. BUT the one constant is Your love for us. You are there to hear our cries for help. You are there loving us unconditionally. You are there with Your peace that pass our own human understanding. Your arms of love are around us and we thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

All day long my reproach faces me, and the shame of my face covers me, because of the voice of the scoffer and the scorner, at the sight of the enemy and the avenger. All this is come upon me, but we have not forgotten Thee; no, we have not been false to Thy covenant. Psalms 44:15 – 17.

Lord there are a lot of things that happen that we don’t expect and we don’t appreciate in our lives. Right now it is very hard to be isolated from family and friends. We miss hugs and we miss the people we love. I am so glad You are there for us Lord. We are never alone. Your presence is constant. Oh how we thank and praise You. You ARE with us each moment of every day and we praise and thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen
