Thought For Today

Let the daughters of Judah rejoice because of Thy judgments! Walk about Zion, go round about her, number her towers, consider well her ramparts, go through her citadels; that you may tell the next generation that this is God, our God forever and ever. He will be our guide forever. Psalms 48:11 – 14

Thank You Lord that You are our God forever and ever. AND just as when this Psalm was written so long ago You are our guide too.

How wonderful it is to be able to share with generation after generation Your love.

We love You Lord and thank You for loving us.

As Thy name, O God, so Thy praise reaches to the ends of the earth. Thy right hand is filled with victory; let Mount Zion be glad! Psalms 48:10

Thank You Lord for the opportunity we have to praise and thank You. How wonderful it is to gather with those that love You as we do and lift our voices in praise to You. We have so many gifts and blessings that it is very easy to take them for granted. We are blessed Lord and we thank You. Thank You for loving us and watching over us today. We love You Lord and thank You.

We have thought on Thy steadfast love, O God, in the midst of Thy temple. Psalms 48:9

Thank You Lord for Your steadfast love. A love that is nothing like our earthly love. Your love knows all about us and loves us in spite of our shortcomings. Your love is unconditional. Your love loves even the unlovely parts of us and You love us enough to help us change. Day by day and hour by hour You are changing us to become more and more like You and Your love. Oh how we thank and praise You.

Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised in the city of our God! His holy mountain, beautiful in elevation, is the joy of all the earth, Mount Zion in the far north, the city of the great King. Within her citadels, God has shown Himself a sure defense. Psalms 48:1-3

Thank You Lord for your greatness. Thank You that there is nothing too hard for You. Thank You that there is nothing You are not aware of.

We thank You for being with us today. We look to You with confidence and thank You for Your love.

Lord ….we Your people worship and praise You. We love You Lord and exalt You. Thank You for our many gifts. Thank You for shielding the earth and watch over us. Thank You for the peace that You alone can give us in the midst of the storms in life. Thank You for ALWAYS being with us. Thank You for being with us today.

Thank You Lord for seeing all and knowing all. You are in control. There is nothing that happens that You are not aware of. Thank You for watching over us. Thank You for helping us through each difficult situation. Thank You for prayer and answers to prayers. Thank You for giving us the confidence we need today.

God has gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet. Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises! For God is the king of all the earth; sing praises with a psalm! Psalms 47:5 – 7

Thank You Lord for music. It is a very special gift to the world. Music can change our moods and bring us peace and joy. There are songs that bring back memories when we hear them. Thank You for each person that writes, sings or plays an instrument. They truly bring ‘joy’ to our world.

For the Lord, the Most High, is terrible, a great king over all the earth. He subdued peoples under us, and nations under our feet. He chose our heritage for us, the pride of Jacob whom He loves. Psalms 47:2 – 4

Thank You Lord for Your love for us. There is a lot we will never understand while here on this earth but one thing we can always be assured of is the fact that You love us. You love us with a love that is unconditional. You loved us enough to die for us so we could spend all eternity with you. What a gift! Oh how we thank You.

Clap your hands, all peoples! Shout to God with loud songs of joy! Psalms 47:1

Lord for many of us this is the beginning of a work week. We are back into our ‘routine.’ The weekend is over when we enjoy time to do what ‘we’ wanted to do. Today I am thankful that ‘each’ day is special to You Lord. Each and every day You are with us. We are reminded once again today by this scripture how happy we are to have You in our lives. Today I want to thank You for the ‘joy’ that You give me each and every day. I am blessed and I thank You.
