Thought For Today

When the ways of a man pleases the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at piece with him.  Proverbs 16:7

Thank You Lord for dealing with our enemies so we don’t have to.  Thank You for helping us ALWAYS want to please You.  Thank You for showing, by Your example, how to be pleasing.  You even went to the cross for us and oh what a difference that has made and is making in our lives as we keep our eyes upon You.  Thank You for showing us that life is not an easy ride and we need our eyes always upon You and Your desires for us.  We love You Lord and thank You for Your unconditional love.

Thank YOU Lord.

Who is like the Lord our God, who is enthroned on high, who looks down upon the heavens and the earth?  Psalm 113:5, 6

Thank You Lord that there is none like You.  Thank You for watching over us here on earth.  Thank You for knowing about everything that goes on down here.  What peace it brings when we know that You see, and You know, and most of all YOU CARE.  Thank You for reminding us to turn to You when anxiety begins to rise over what is going on here on earth.  Thank You for Your peace and joy today.

Hallelujah!  Praise the Lord, you servants of His, praise the Lord’s name!  Psalm 113:1

Thank You Lord for Your love for us.  Thank You for asking us to come to You with not only our praises but also with our requests.  Thank You for the comfort that is ours when we give You our burdens.  We know You hear us and You care.  What a joy it is for me when I burst out singing in praise to You.  Truly my soul is one with You and Your unconditional love for me.  Thank You for the inspiration You give others to write these beautiful songs that praise and thank You.  How they flood our souls with joy and peace.  We love You Lord and thank You for Your many blessings given to us today.

Truly, Thou, O Lord, art good and ready to forgive, rich in loving kindness to all who call on Thee.   Psalms 88:5

Thank You Lord for Your loving kindness.  I have begun to really appreciate those words.  Thank You Lord for not only being loving but also being kind.  This scripture reminds us that You are RICH in loving kindness.  It also says it is for all of us that call upon You.  Thank You for being there for us whenever we call.  Oh how blessed we are Lord.  You are good and ready to forgive us.  Thank You for Your loving kindness and Your unconditional love.

Blessed are those who morn, for they shall be comforted.  Matthew 5:4

Thank You Lord for Your comfort.  Thank You Lord for KNOWING when we were created we would need Your comfort.  Thank You that Your comfort is ALWAYS there when we need it hard as those times in our lives are.  There are times when sadness just hits us and all we can do is cry out to You for Your comfort and love.  Thank You Lord for ALWAYS being there to hold us up at the most difficult, vulnerable times in our lives.  We love You Lord and thank You for making provisions for every situation we face in our lives.

He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the Lord’s lovingkindness.  Psalm 33:5

Thank You Lord for Your lovingkindness that fills our earth.  Thank You for loving righteousness and justice.  Thank You for burning those same desires upon our hearts to bring peace and joy into the world that needs it so badly.  Thank You for changing us moment by moment into these gifts that You so freely give us.  We love You Lord and thank You for using us today for Your honor and Your glory.

Revere (deep respect or admiration) the Lord, ye His saints, for there is no lack to those who revere Him.   Psalms 34:9

Thank You Lord for reminding us today that we who love and revere You will be taken care of.  You tell us in this scripture that we will have ‘no lack.’  You will be with us and we know that and appreciate Your reminders like this one which shows us how much You care.  Thank You for being with us every moment of today.  We love You Lord and thank and praise You for Your love for us.

Oh taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trust in Him.  Psalms 34:8

Thank You Lord for being GOOD.  I love the saying ‘God is GOOD ALL the time.’  How awesome it is to remind each other how good You are when we hear those words.  You are good and You are awesome.  Thank You for reminding each of us to count our blessings and our gifts.  The greatest gift of all is that we WILL spend all eternity with You.  Thank You for coming to earth to redeem us.  Our hearts are full of Your love today and we thank and praise You for Your peace and joy.

The Angel of the Lord encamps around those who revere Him and rescue them.  Psalms 34:7

Thank You Lord for Your Angels that love You and worship You.  You have asked us to keep our eyes upon You and not what Your Angels are doing for us.  They are at Your command and You are asking them to help us.  This verse is an awesome verse and I thank You for it.  Thank You for Your Angles and their love for You.  Thank You for sending them to help us.  Thank You for that wonderful thought today of Angels being around us.  We love You Lord and thank You for this wonderful gift of Your  ‘Angel encamping around us.’
