Later in one of His talks, Jesus said to the people, “I am the Light of the world. So if you follow me, you won’t be stumbling through the darkness, for living light will flood your path.” John 8:12
Lord…thank You for Your living Light that floods our path each day. Thank You for being with us today. Thank You for shinning Your light through us.

Thank You Lord for all Your promises that encourage us day by day to follow You. Thank You for Your instructions in this verse that remind us it is when we put You first in our life that the blessings come. You WILL direct and You WILL crown our efforts with success. Oh so often it doesn’t seem like that is what is happening at the time but way down the road we can look back and see how Your hand was leading and directing us. We can see it was because we stayed the course and followed You that our success came. Thank You for showering us with You blessings today. We love You Lord and thank You.

Oh Lord how we thank You for being our ‘Good Shepherd.” Thank You for guiding and directing our lives. Thank You for knowing all about us. Thank You laying down Your life to redeem us. Thank You for another day to love and serve You and those all around us.

Jesus said, “The more lowly your service to others, the greater you are. To be the greatest, be a servant. But those who think themselves great shall be disappointed and humbled; and those who humble themselves shall be exalted.” Matthew 23:11, 12
Lord how blessed we are to sit at Your feet and learn. Apart from Your leading and directing we would find it extremely hard to be humble. Our own human nature would point us in the opposite direction. Thank You for teaching us ‘To be the greatest, be a servant.’ To be the greatest let Your light shine through us. To be the greatest give back what has been so freely given by You to us. Thank You Lord for helping us today to become more and more like You.

The steps of good men are directed by the Lord. He delights in each step they take. If they fall it isn’t fatal, for the Lord holds them with His hand. Psalms 37:23, 24
Thank You Lord for caring so much for us. Thank You for directing us in the way that is perfect for us. You delight in each step we take. Thank You for holding our hand to keep us from falling so when we slip it isn’t fatal. We thank You Lord that nothing is impossible for You.

Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His steadfast love endures forever! Psalms 118:29
Lord ….there has been much encouragement in this chapter. The first verse of this chapter is the same as this last verse. Over and over we have been shown the reason David wanted to thank You. His love for You has been obvious in the words of these verses. As we read this verse over and over and think about the words our hearts are encouraged. We too give thanks to You Lord for truly You are GOOD. Your love for us ‘endures forever!’ And not only does that love endure forever it is an unconditional love. You love us with a pure … true love. We love You Lord and praise You and thank You for Your many gifts. Thank You for today.

Lord….we like David of old give You thank and praise. David knew his life was saved but he didn’t know You had something very special You want him to do. He didn’t know that was why his life was saved until the rest of his life unfolded.
Lord so often we wonder why things happen in our life. What purpose could they serve…. AND then like David of old we see Your plan for our life and thank You.
Thank You for being with us today as the plan for our life unfolds. Thank You for helping us let Your light shine through us to those that need Your touch. Oh how we love You Lord and thank You for this day.

This is the day which the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalms 118:25
Lord … this verse says it all. This is another day You have given us to rejoice and be glad. This is another day You have given us to thank and praise You for loving us unconditionally. This is another day that You are walking with us. This is another day You are meeting each of our needs. This is another day our faith and trust are becoming stronger. Oh how we thank and praise You for today.
