Thought For Today

You have let me experience the joys of life and the exquisite pleasures of Your own eternal presence. Psalms 16:11

Lord how grateful we are that Your presence is ALWAYS with us. There is never a moment in our lives when You are not with us. You are there guiding us and protecting us each moment of every day and night. Thank You for reminding us of Your presence in those times when we need You most. Oh how we praise and thank You.

I love you even as the Father has loved Me. Live within My love. When you obey Me you are living in my love, just as I obey My Father and live within in His love. I have told you this so that you will be filled with My joy. Yes, your cup of joy will overflow. John 15:9 – 11

Thank You Lord for Your gift of joy. Lord it is amazing how often we read how much You love us. Here You tell us, “I love you even as the Father has loved Me.” There is no greater love. How blessed we are and we thank You. Thank You Lord for giving us cups of joy that are filled to overflowing.

Since we have such a huge crowd of men of faith watching us from the grandstands let us strip off anything that slows us down or holds us back, and especially those sins that wrap themselves so tightly around our feet and trip us up; and let us run with patience the particular race that God has set before us. Hebrews 12:1, 2

Thank You Lord that we are not on this journey called life alone. You are ALWAYS right beside us. You are there to pick us up when we stumble and fall. Your unconditional love surrounds us. Thank You for being with us today. We love You Lord and thank You.

You love Him even though you have never seen Him, though not seeing Him, you trust Him, and even now you are happy with the inexpressible joy that comes from heaven itself. And your further reward for trusting Him will be the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:8, 9

Oh Lord we have so much to thank You for each day. Yes we love You. Yes we trust You. AND yes, we know heaven is our home. Thank You for the peace and joy that is ours each day.

Now we rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God—all because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done in dying for our sins—making us friends with God. Romans 5:13

Thank You Lord for dying for our sins. What a perfect gift You gave us all when You came to earth and died for our sins. No longer were we under the bondage of the law. This is a gift we can celebrate every day of our lives. How blessed we are that today we can walk with You and talk with You as Your children. Oh how we thank and praise You.

Always be full of the joy of the Lord; I say it again, rejoice! Let everyone see that you are unselfish and considerate in all you do. Remember that the Lord is coming soon. Philippians 4:4, 5

Thank You Lord for helping us become all You are calling us to be. It is with Your help that we ‘can become unselfish and considerate in all we do.’ Thank You for giving us a conscience that teaches us when we are wrong. It is with Your wisdom and help that we can change into what You are calling us to be.

Thank You Lord that we can walk through this day full of Your joy. We have much to thank and praise You for.

Thank You Lord for this beautiful encouraging verse that reminds us You have a wonderful plan for each of our lives. Your plan is perfect. Your plan is for ‘good and not for evil.’ You have promised us a ‘future and a hope.’ These are Your promises to each of us Lord and we thank You.

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

Oh Lord what a hard lesson to learn…wait…wait….wait… Today we are such an INSTANT society. Our food cooks quickly in the microwave. We drive through the restaurants and our food is ready. We Google the information we are looking for and it is there in the blink of an eye. Today we have everything at our fingertips and we read …..wait….wait upon the Lord and our strength will be renewed.

Lord how true this is when we have surgery. Healing takes time. Yes, we have to wait….and wait…and wait. The beauty in waiting is what happens when we slow down and listen to Your still small voice within. Ahhh…it is worth the wait. Inner strength is built. Closeness to You happens. Oh the wait was worth it. On the other side of the wait we are soaring like the eagles because we have had an encounter with You. One that taught us the value of waiting. Oh how blessed we are and we thank You.

Be gentle and ready to forgive, never hold grudges. Remember, the Lord forgave you so you must forgive others. Colossians 3:13

Thank You Lord for helping us remember how much You have given us. You gave us Your all and we praise and thank You. Thank You for reminding us in this verse because it helps us forgive as You have forgiven us. When we let go and forgive Your peace floods our soul and we are free. That too is Your gift and we thank You.

Lord how blessed we are to have our Bibles. How easy it is Lord to take them for granted. Thank You for leading us and guiding us through Your written words. Words that show us the way. Words that help us see how important we are to You. Words of encouragement and strength. Certainly they ARE a light that keep us from stumbling as You show us the way. Oh how we praise and thank You.
