“So don’t be anxious about tomorrow. God will take care of your tomorrow too. Live on day at a time.” Matthew 6:34

Lord what a wonderful comforting verse. Oh that we could remember it and live our lives with it implanted deep within our hearts and minds.

Thank You for taking our anxiety and replacing it with trust. Thank You for helping us remember that You will be there tomorrow just as You are here today. Thank You for helping us stay in today and enjoy this day You have given us. Your blessings are ours for the taking and today we are taking them and enjoying Your peace.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow, won’t He more surly care for you. O men of little faith? Matthew 6:10

Each different…each having different requirements to enable them to survive. Lord truly they are just like us. We are each different with often totally different requirements. Oh how I thank You for knowing exactly what we need and when we need it. Thank You for You provisions today. What peace You bring as we look to You and trust. Again Lord I just want to thank YOU for ALWAYS being with us. We are never alone in this world and we thank You.

Happy are those who are persecuted because they are good; for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. Matthew 5:10

Lord I must admit that I find it very hard to be ‘happy’ when I am persecuted because I am ‘good.’ It takes me a whole lot of praying and trusting in You to help me get to the ‘happy’ stage. Oh yes I know that You are with me. Yes, I know that heaven is my final resting place. And yet Lord I struggle and call upon You. I am so thankful You pull me through those time and…. You always do. Thank You Lord for Your love and help. Oh how I need You and appreciate You. Thank You for being with me today and every day.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

Happy are those whose hearts are pure, for they shall see God. Matthew 5:8

Thank You Lord for helping all Your followers to be HAPPY. As we continue to read all the different ways people are and the gifts they are given when they follow You we see their rewards. Today we see that those that are pure of heart will see You. What a wonderful gift it is to be HAPPY. AND how wonderful it is to have hearts that are pure. Then the greatest of all rewards is to see You and be with You for all eternity. We are so, so blessed Lord and we thank You.

Thank You Lord.

“Happy are those who long to be just and good for they shall be completely satisfied.” Matthew 5:6

Lord how wonderful it is to put our head on the pillow at night and reflect upon a day where we have followed Your guidance. Our prayer is to be like that every day. Yes, there certainly is that inner feeling You are talking about of being completely satisfied. Thank You for helping us each day to do our best to be ‘just and good.’

Thank You Lord.

“Those who mourn are fortunate! for they shall be comforted.” Matthew 5:4

Thank You Lord for comforting us when we mourn. Thank You for the strength You provide….strength we never knew we had until You helped us through those very difficult times. As difficult as those times are in our lives we know we can turn to You for help. Thank You for ALWAYS being there for us and helping us.

Thank You Lord.

Jesus continued, “Humble men are very fortunate!” He said to them, “for the Kingdom of Heaven is given to them.” Matthew 5:3

Thank You Lord for each one of the gifts You give us when we follow Your leading and calling upon our lives. Humility is a beautiful gift. It is with awe we look at a humble person. Somehow they are not even aware of their humility. They are just being who they are because it comes from the inside out. Truly we can understand why You would tell us how fortunate they are because they would have the Kingdom of Heaven given to them. Thank You for the humble people I have had the pleasure of knowing in my life time. Truly I stood in awe in their presence.

Thank You Lord.

Amen.

One day as the crowds were gathering, He (Jesus) went up the hillside with His disciples and sat down and taught them there. Matthew 5:1

Lord …thank You for still teaching us today just as You taught Your disciples so long ago. How wonderful it is to sit at Your feet and learn. Thank You for opening my eyes of understand as I type and listen and pray. You have much to teach me and I thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen
