Thought For Today

I pray that you will begin to understand how incredibly His power is to help those who believe Him. It is that same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in heaven, far far above any other king or ruler or dictator or leader. Yes, His honor is far more glorious than that of anyone else either in this world or the world to come. Ephesians 1:19 – 21

Thank You for Your power Lord. Thank You that Your power is there for us. Thank You that there is nothing too hard for You. We are truly blessed and we thank You.

I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can see something of the future He has called you to share. I want you to realize that God has been made rich because we who are Christ’s have been given to Him! Ephesians 1:18

Thank You so much Lord for Your gift of eternal life that gives us the privilege of living with You forever and ever. We are so blessed to have You made ‘rich’ because we believe and trust in You. We are Your treasure. You care about every detail of our lives. We are loved. Oh how we praise and thank You.

That is why, ever since I (Paul) heard of your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and of the love you have for Christians everywhere, I have never stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you wisdom to see clearly and understand who Christ is and all that He has done for you. Ephesians 1:15 -17

Lord how wonderful it is when we have that clear vision and understanding of who You truly are and what You have done for us. That is the life changing event that gives us the desire to become more and more like You. Thank You for Your wisdom today. Thank You for showing us the pathway that is Your plan for our lives. We love You Lord and our trust is in You. Thank You for Your unconditional love.

And because of what Christ did, all you others too, who heard the Good News about how to be saved and trusted Christ, were marked as belonging to Christ by the Holy Spirit, who long ago had been promised to all of us Christians. Ephesians 1:13

Thanks You Lord that we are ‘all you others’ who heard Your Good News and trusted You. We are now ‘marked as belonging to You by the Holy Spirit.’
Our lives have been changed and each day we learn more and more how blessed we are to have You in our lives. Thank You Lord for being with us each step of the way today.

Moreover, because of what Christ has done we have become gifts to God that He delights in, for as part of God’s sovereign plan we were chosen from the beginning to be His, and all things happen just as He decided long ago. God’s purpose in this was that we should praise God and give glory to Him for doing these mighty things for us, who were the first to trust in Christ. Ephesians 1:11, 12.

Lord….thank You for ‘doing these mighty things for us.’ What a privilege to have You ‘delight’ in us. Thank You for giving each of us the opportunity to allow You to be Lord of our lives. Thank You for making us a whole new person when we turn our will and our lives over to You. Thank You for changing us from the inside out. Thank You for loving us unconditionally. We are truly blessed and we thank You.

God has told us His secret reason for sending Christ, a plan He decided on in mercy long ago; and this was His purpose; that when the time is ripe He will gather us all together from wherever we are—in heaven or on earth—to be with Him in Christ forever. Ephesians 1:9, 10

Lord what hope and peace You provide us when reading these verses. We know Your plan for us that love You. We WILL be with You forever and ever when You come back for us. Thank You Lord for promising us that ‘when the time is ripe You will gather us all together.’ We await Your coming with great anticipation. What a day that will be! We will be with You for all eternity. Oh how we thank and praise You Lord as we await that wonderful day.

So overflowing is His kindness towards us that He took away all our sins through the blood of His Son, by whom we are saved; and He has showered down upon us the richness of His grace—for how well He understands us and knows what is best for us at all times. Ephesians 1:7, 8

Lord…thank You for loving us unconditionally.

Lord so often I need to stop and remember ‘for how well He understands us and knows what is best for us at all times.’ It is so easy to question and ‘think’ we know better than You know. Thank You for this gentle reminder today. Thank You for Your overflowing love and kindness that has no limits. Oh how blessed we are and we thank You.

His presence within us is God’s guarantee that He really will give us all that He promised, and the Spirit’s seal upon us means that God has already purchased us and that He guarantees to bring us to Himself. This is just one more reason for us to praise our glorious God. Ephesians 1:14

Lord ….we are thanking and praising You today. Thank You for Your presence within us. Thank You that Your seal is upon us. Thank You for Your guarantee that we will spend all eternity with You. How blessed we are and we thank You.

And let us not get tired of doing what is right, for after a while we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t get discouraged and give up. That’s why whenever we can we should always be kind to everyone, and especially to our Christian brothers. Galatians 6:9, 10

Lord…. we thank You for Your help in hanging in there when the going is tough. Thank You for helping us do the right thing. Great is our reward and we thank You that we will ‘reap a harvest of blessing’ when we don’t give up.

As the song goes… ‘And they’ll know we are Christians by our love.’ It is Your love that flows through us that gives us the courage to love even the unlovely. Oh how we thank You.

For dear brothers, you have been given freedom; not freedom to do wrong but freedom to love and serve each other. Galatians 5:13

Thank You Lord for our freedom. Today more so then ever we are so thankful for our freedom. Thank You for being with us today to help us love and serve each other. Thank You that each of us is made in Your image. Thank You for our hearts of love and gratitude. Thank You for helping us act in true love toward each other today. We love You Lord.
