Thought For Today

The Lord protects ALL those who love Him, but He will destroy all the ungodly.  Psalm 145:20

Thank You Lord for Your protection.  Thank You that when our fear takes over You are only a prayer away.  Thank You for this promise that is there for ALL of us.  We don’t have to wonder and fret for we KNOW what this scripture says to us…. The Lord protects ALL those who love Him.  Our fear is gone.  Our trust is in Your might power.  We can watch for Your answer.  Thank You for loving us and calming our fears today.  We love You Lord and trust You.

He fills the desire of those who revere Him; He hears their call for help and saves them.  Psalm 145:19

Thank You Lord for filling us full of the desire to listen to You and obey.  It took me a long time Lord to understand what You were saying to me in this verse.  Oh the peace and joy when I ‘GOT IT.’  If I WANTED what YOU WANTED for my life there was peace and joy.  If I wanted my own way instead of your way I struggled.  Thank YOU for ‘hearing my call for help and saving me.’  Thank You for changing my outlook and teaching me You knew a whole lot more what was best for me than I did.  Thank You for shinning YOUR light brightly on my pathway and helping me follow Your will for my life.  I love You Lord and thank You for Your patience in teaching me each day to keep my eyes upon You and pray.

The Lord is near to ALL who call upon Him, to those who call upon Him sincerely.  Psalm 145:18

Thank You Lord for never getting tired of us calling upon You.  Thank You for never tiring of hearing our cries to You when we stumble and fall and ask You to pick us up again.  Thank You for teaching us how to depend upon You in EVERY circumstance.  You are near!  You do care!  You want us to call on You with a sincere heart.  Thank You for changing us moment by moment ….victory or defeat….to lean stronger and stronger upon You.  Thank You for the blessing that are ours and the changes in our lives when we call upon You.

The Lord is just in all His ways, and gracious in all His works.  Psalm 145:17

Thank You Lord for Your love for us.  Thank You for ‘being JUST in all Your ways, and GRACIOUS in all Your works.’  Thank You for giving us verses like this one to help us through our lives here on earth.  We are blessed to look around and see all the wonderful works You have done for us.  Thank You for our beautiful earth.  Thank You for helping us with the ability to keep it beautiful.  Thank You too for the nudges You give us when we are not doing what we should to keep it as You created it to be.  Your unconditional love for us is amazing and we thank You for it.

Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Thy dominion endures through all generations.  Psalm 145:13

Thank You Lord for the peace and joy in knowing Your kingdom is everlasting.  Thank You for the assurance that it will last through all generations.  Thank You for walking with us today and helping us through each trial.  Thank You for helping us see all that You have provided for us today.  We love You Lord and KNOW You are here showing us the way.

All Thy works shall praise Thee, Lord, and Thy saints shall bless Thee.  They shall speak of the glory of Thy kingdom and tell of Thy might, that they may make known to the children of the men His feats of power, and the majestic glory of His kingdom.  Psalms 145:10 – 12

Thank You Lord for revealing to us in this verse all the wonderful gifts that are ours because of You.  Thank You that truly, as Your children, we can praise You for all You are doing and have done in our lives.  We have much to praise and thank You for.  Thank You for Your power and the majestic glory of Your kingdom.  Thank You that You show us Your mighty power over and over.  Thank You for helping us relax and enjoy our lives knowing that You ARE in control and ARE with us as we walk the pathway You have chosen for us.  Oh…how we love You Lord and thank YOU for YOUR everlasting love for us.

The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works.  Psalm 145:9

Thank You Lord for being good to all.  Thank You for Your ‘tender mercies over all Your works.’  Thank You for the peace and joy we can have because of Your tender mercies to all of us.  Thank You for Your calming love today.

The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in covenant-love.  Psalm 145:8

Thank You Lord for reminding us of the many blessings we have because You are our Lord and Savior.  Thank You for being – ‘gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in covenant-love.’  Thank You for giving these gifts to us as Your children.  We are reminded once again Lord, that nothing is too hard for You.  Thank You for loving us UNCONDITIONALLY with Your ‘covenant-love‘ that never ends.  We love You Lord and thank and praise YOU today for Your peace and joy.

One generation shall extol Thy works to the following one, and set forth Thy mighty acts.  Psalm 145:4

Thank You Lord that I was that next generation and accepted You as my Lord and Savior at the young age of 8.  Thank You for guiding and directing my life all these years.  Thank You even more for loving me unconditionally; imperfect as I have been.  My love for You has never wavered.   Thank You for the wonderful example my parents were that loved You and followed You.  Thank You for the peace and joy that are mine today because of Your love for me.

I WILL, exalt Thee, my God and King: I will bless Thy name forever and ever.  Every day will I bless Thee, and praise Thy name forever and ever.  Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: His greatness is unsearchable.  Psalms 145:1 – 3

Thank You Lord for being MY God and MY King.  Truly I WILL bless Your name forever.  Thank You for the many gifts You have provided for me while I am here on this beautiful earth You have given all of us.  Thank You for preparing a dwelling place in heaven where I WILL spend all eternity praising and thanking You.  Thank You for these blessings that continue to be beyond my own human comprehension.
