Thought For Today

The depts of the earth are at His finger tips; the tallest summits belong to Him.  The sea is His, for He made it; His hands formed the dry Land.  Psalms 95:4, 5

Lord how can we every thank YOU enough for the beauty of our earth.  What a joy it has been for me to have seen so much of Your creation around the world.  The beauty is breathtaking.  I stand amazed at all You have created for us to enjoy.  Thank You for giving us so much to be thankful for.  What a gift to sit and relax and marvel at one of Your creations.  I shall never forget pulling back my curtain and looking out at Mt. Blanc all snow covered on a warm Genva, Switzerland day.  That view was breathtaking and just one of Your beautiful creations.  Thank You Lord for caring enough about us to create our beautiful world.

Let us come into His presence with thanksgiving: let us joyfully sing to Him with psalms.  For the Lord is a great God, a mighty King above all gods.  Psalm 96:2, 3

Lord we come to You with thanksgiving and praise today.  Thank You for being the God above all gods.  Thank You for being our Lord and our Savior that has gone back to heaven to prepare a place for us that love You to spend all eternity with You.  Thank You for being the one we know we can turn to 24/7 with whatever is happening in our live and in the world.  Thank You for knowing and not only knowing but also caring.  Thank You for wanting the very best for each one of our lives that love You.  Oh…how we praise and thank You for being with us each step of the way today.

Thank You Lord that You are our Rock.  Thank You for proving over and over there is nothing too hard for You.  Thank You for asking us to come to You.  We are Your children Lord, and we thank and praise You for Your love.  Thank You for helping us share Your love today.

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us insight to know the true One.  And we are in union with the One, with His Son Jesus Christ.  He is the true God and life eternal.  1 John 5:20

Thank You Lord that we can know that we will spend all eternity with You.  Thank You for the insights You give us to KNOW that You are the Son of God.  Thank You for the way Your Holy Spirit works in our lives helping us KNOW the truth.  Thank You too for asking us to come to You with our praise and our requests.  You are there waiting for us to ask for help.  Thank You for the confidence You give us to know that You are working in our lives to bring us closer to You.  Thank You for never leaving us.  We love You Lord and thank You for Your love for us.

If someone says, “I love God,” while he hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, is not able to love God, whom he has never seen. And this command we have from Him, that he who loves God should love his brother also.  1 John 4:20, 21

Lord, once again I want to thank You for helping us love as You love.  These are very strong words You gave John that speak to us each moment of every day.  Thank You for Your help in seeing each person as You see them.  Thank You for reminding us of the price You paid for us when we were not lovable.  Thank You for Your gift of love that is awesome and should never be taken lightly.  It goes beyond our own human understanding.  It is Your gift to be treasured, and we thank and praise You for it.  Thank You for filling us full of Your love today.

Love has no fear in it; instead, perfect love expels fear, for fear involves punishment. Therefore he who fears has not reached love’s perfection.  We love because He first loved us.  1 John 4:18, 19

Thank You Lord for teaching us by Your example how to love.  Thank You for giving us Your love to share with those You place upon our pathway.  Thank You too for helping us love those that don’t even like us.  It is Your strength and Your wisdom and Your perfect love that gives us the strength and wisdom we need to love as You love us.  Thank You for helping us in ALL situations.  Thank You for giving us Your joy and Your peace and YOUR love.

On our part love comes to completion in this that we face the judgement day confidently because we are as He is in this world.  1 John 4:17

Thank You Lord for helping us to become more and more like You as we take our journey on this earth.  Thank You for John’s reminder of the confidence we will have on our judgement day when we stand before You.   Thank You for helping us hear ‘well done thou good and faithful servant.’  We love You Lord and thank and praise You for changing us moment by moment into Your likeness.

Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him and he in God.  We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us.  God is love and he who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.  1 John 4:15, 16

Thank You Lord for this beautiful chapter that teaches us how much You love us and how You want OUR love to be.  Thank you for Your self sacrificing love for us.  A love where You gave Your all for us.  A love that is unconditional.  A love that teaches us day by day how to love and be loved.  We love You Lord and thank You for loving us.

No one has ever seen God.  If we love one another, God remains in us and His love has been perfected in us.  1 John 4:12 / From this we KNOW that we remain in Him and He is in us because He has imparted His Spirit to us.  And we ourselves have seen and are bearing witness that the Father has sent the Son as the Savior of the world.  1 John 4:13, 14

Such love Lord….oh…how we thank and praise You.  Thank You for imparting Your Spirit to us.  Thank You that Your love is perfected in us.  Thank You for the life of peace and joy that are ours because You came to earth to live and die for us.  Thank You too that this awesome gift is there for all to take.  You came for us all and have given us the choice to choose or reject You.  We love You Lord and thank You for Your love.

Lord once again today I want to thank You for putting Your love deep within our hearts.  Thank You for helping us love one another.  Thank You for helping us to see our differences as assets.  Thank You for creating us different just like You have done with the snowflakes.  Thank You that each of us are different and each of us can bring value and completeness to each other.  Thank You for drawing us closer to You by helping us understand those we find so different than we are.  Thank You Lord for Your love that helps us love those that the world would call unlovely.  Thank You for filling us with YOUR love today.
