Thought For Today

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for his loving kindness is everlasting.  Psalm 118:1

Thank You Lord for loving us with an everlasting love.  Your love is with us forever.  Thank You for showing us how to love.  Thank You for being ‘good’ and always wanting the best for our lives.  Thank You for the assurance that You will ALWAYS be with us, and You will always love us.  Thank You for showering us with Your love and Your peace today.

Reverence for the Lord leads to life; he who remains satisfied with that will not be visited by harm.  Proverbs 19:23

Thank You Lord for giving Solomon the wisdom and knowledge to write this book.  Thank You for the words that have been read over and over to help and encourage us to remain faithful and reverent to You.  Thank You for changing our lives moment by moment to become more and more like You.  Our lives are changed and the joy of the journey enriched when we keep our eyes upon You.  Solomon knew ‘Reverence for the Lord leads to life’ and has given us much to follow in this book of Proverbs.  Thank You for my gifts today Lord.  Thank You for enriching my life each day.  I love You Lord and thank and praise You for loving me.

Hear and accept instructions, that you may be wise the rest of your days.  Many schemes are in a man’s head, but the counsel of the Lord will stand.  Proverbs 19:20, 21

Thank You Lord for Your still small voice that tells us Your plans for our lives.  What a joy it is to KNOW that we are walking the pathway You have designed for us.  Thank You for Psalm 37:4 ‘Delight yourself in the Lord and HE WILL give You the desire of your heart.’  Lord…how true this is….and why is it so true…because when we want what You want for our live there is peace and joy.  Thank You Lord for the confidence we can have in YOU!  Thank YOU for WANTING the best for our lives.  Thank You for helping us walk the beautiful path You have designed for us.

In my distress I cried out to my Lord, and He answered me with release.  Psalms 118:5

Thank YOU Lord for always being there for us.  Thank You that we can also cry out to YOU and receive Your answer.  I love this verse and what it reminds me…. Nothing had changed in the situation, but You answered me with RELEASE.  Thank You for those answer that are a RELEASE.  The issue hadn’t changed but You had changed me.  I was once again FREE.  The distress was taken away.  My eyes were back upon YOU Lord and I didn’t need to be one bit concerned about what was happening.  Thank You for Your insights.  Thank You for lifting burdens.  Thank You for peace and joy.

Thank You Lord for another day here on this beautiful home You prepared for us.  Thank You for hearing me when I thanked You for another day here on earth.  Thank You for being with me each moment of this day.  I love You Lord and thank You for Your unconditional love for me.  Thank You for Your peace and joy today.

Thank You Lord for being the great God that You are.  Thank You for creating this world for us to live in.  Thank You for giving every person the opportunity to choose to love and serve You.  Thank You for calling each one of us to come and open our hearts to You.  Oh…what a beautiful journey it is with You by our side.  Thank You for Your comfort.  Thank You for Your compassion.  Thank You for Your wisdom.  Thank You for Your unconditional love.  Thank You that our list goes on and on and on.  Thank You for Your love each moment of every day.  Thank You for Your peace and joy today.

Sing to the Lord, bless His name, proclaim His salvation from day to day.  Publish His glory among the nations, His marvelous works among ALL peoples.  Psalms 96:2, 3

Thank You Lord for our voices that sing praises to You.  Thank You for my singing voice that has allowed me to be in many choirs.  Lord, I can understand totally why singing has been mentioned so much in the Psalms.  There is a joy that floods my soul when I am singing.  What a gift that has been to me my whole life and I thank and praise You for giving it to me.  This is one of Your marvelous works that You have given me as Your child.  Thank You for the ‘marvelous’ gifts that You have blessed others with that they can praise and thank You for.  Thank You for Your peace and joy today.  We love You Lord and thank and praise You for Your blessings given so freely to each one of us.

Thank You Lord for giving us a NEW song to sing.  Thank You for filling our hearts with songs that thank and praise You.  Thank You for changing us into Your likeness day by day.  Our hearts rejoice in all You have given us to thank You for.  Thank You for loving us with an everlasting love.  Thank You that we WILL spend all eternity with You.  Thank You for Your presence with us each moment of every day.  Thank You for the joy in loving You and singing a new song of praise to You.

Thank You Lord that WE ARE the people of Your pasture.  Thank You that we ARE YOUR flock.  Thank You for tending to US that love You and want to hear Your voice today.  Thank You for showing us the way and Your plans for our lives.   Thank You for helping us follow Your directions.  Thank You for loving us with an unconditional love today.  We love You Lord and thank You for guiding us and directing us today.

Thank You Lord for making us.  We are here on this earth by Your design.  Thank You for giving us the choice to accept or reject You as our Lord and Savior.  Your love for us is amazing.  Thank You for guiding and directing us in the plan You created us to follow.  What peace and joy there is in following Your plan for our lives.  Thank You for filling us with Your love today.
