Thought For Today

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His Holy name!  Psalms 103:2

Thank You Lord that we can call You OUR LORD.  Thank You for all that is ours because of You.  Thank You for preparing a place for us to spend all eternity with You.  We love You Lord and see Your many gifts and blessings from You in our lives today.  Thank You for Your unconditional love that calls us on to become more and more like You. 

Thank You Lord.

For HE knows what we are made of; HE keeps in mind that we are dust.  A man’s days resemble grass.  He blossoms like a flower in the field; the wind blows over it, and it is gone, with not a sign that it has ever been there.  But the Lord’s faithful love rests eternally upon those who revere Him and His righteousness on the children’s children, on those who are faithful to His covenant, who remember to carry out His instructions.  Psalm 103:14 -18

Thank You Lord for these beautiful verses that remind us to continue to be Your faithful followers.  Thank You for walking with us while we are on this earth.  Thank You that ‘Your faithful love rests eternally upon us and our children’s children.’  Thank You for these gifts so freely given to ALL who are Your faithful servants.  Oh how we love You Lord and thank YOU.

Trust in the Lord and do good; inhabit the land and practice faithfulness.  Psalm 37:3

Thank You Lord for teaching us how to trust You.  Thank You for being a God that loves us, and we can trust.  Thank You for helping us learn how to ‘do good.’  We want to be faithful to You in all we do Lord and we thank You for guiding and directing our lives.  Thank You for helping us keep our eyes and hearts fixed upon You and Your desires for our lives.  We love You Lord and thank You for Your unconditional love for us that goes on forever and ever.

The Lord brings relief to the humble, and brings down the ungodly to the ground.  Psalm 147:6

Thank You Lord for showing us over and over that all that we have and all that we are comes from You.  Thank You for the ‘relief’ YOU give us when we look to You with grateful hearts and thank You.  Thank You that we can call You, FATHER, knowing that You will hear our praises, and You will hear our requests.  Thank You for proving to us over and over that NOTHING is TOO HARD for You.  We love You Lord and thank You for Your peace and joy today.

Our Lord is great and mighty in strength; His understanding is unlimited.  Psalm 147:5

Thank You Lord that You are always there with Your strength and understanding.  Thank You for ASKING us to come to You.  Thank You for ALWAYS being there for us.  Thank You too for never getting tired of us coming to You.  Thank You for Your unconditional love that never gives up on us.  We love You Lord and thank You for showing us over and over and over and over how much You LOVE us.

HE determines the number of the stars and assigns their names to them all.  Psalm 146:4

Thank You Lord for giving us the beautiful stars that shine so brightly in the night.  As we look up to heaven how blessed we are to see them twinkling in all their glory.  Thank You for caring for us and giving us so much to enjoy.  We have been blessed with a moon that has been full and beautiful too.  I am privileged to see it shinning brightly over the river.  Thank You for Your gifts and as we look all around us we thank You for all Your creations that draw us closer and closer to You.

It is He (God) who heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds.  Psalm 147:3

Thank You Lord for YOUR healing.  Oh how we need Your loving compassion Lord.  Thank You for helping us through those times in life we just don’t understand.  Thank You for always being there to bring comfort and peace.  Thank You for those that love us and bring us closer to You with their words that help us through those difficult times.  We love You Lord and thank You for always bringing us through with a song in our hearts and joy in our soul.  We CAN ALWAYS count on You Lord and we thank and praise You.

Praise the Lord!  For it is good to sing to our God, for it is a delight; the song of praise is so befitting.  Psalms 147:1

Thank You Lord for my ability to sing praises to You.  While I am not a solo singer I am a choir singer and how wonderful that ability has been over my lifetime.  I have enjoyed it so much and thank You for the ability to sing praises to You.  Thank You for listening as I am in my car and sing ‘Thank You Jesus’ because my heart is full of gratitude for all the blessings You have provided for me.  Thank You for the many gifts You have yet in store for me.   I love You Lord and want to sing praises to You and thank You.

Hallelujah!  Praise the Lord, O my soul!  I will praise the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God as long as I have being.  Psalm 146:1, 2

Thank You Lord that our time on earth is only a practice for us in getting ready to praise and thank You for all eternity.  How blessed we are that You are preparing us down here to spend all eternity with You worshiping and thanking You.  Thank You for showing us what pleases You.  I love to have the praise in song burst out from me in thanks to You.  It is a wonderful gift to love music.  Even more wonderful is to have a memory to enjoy songs and sing them as a praise to You.  Thank You Lord that even if we do not have a beautiful voice You still love hearing us sing praise to You.  I love You Lord and thank You for giving me Your peace and joy this very moment.

Thank You Lord for this wonderful chapter.  Over and over Lord it has blessed us as we read of Your love for us.  We like the Psalmist praise and thank You for Your many, many gifts and blessings.  We stand amazed at all You have given us.  We thank You each moment for Your help and guidance.  We have experienced Your love for us and thank and praise You.  Thank You for blessing us and help us see and acknowledge all You have provided.  Thank You for giving us Your peace and Your joy today.
