Thought For Today

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His lovingkindness is everlasting.  Psalms 118:29

Thank You Lord for Your lovingkindness that never ends.  Today are hearts are full of praise for Your love for us.  Thank You for using us as Your children to be an example of Your love.  Thank You for showing us today that person that needs You arms of love wrapped around them.  Thank You for hearing us today and helping us show Your compassion to those that need it so badly.  You are GOOD Lord, and we thank and praise You for all the good we see in our lives today.  We love You Lord and thank You for Your peace and joy today.

By faith Noah, when he was divinely instructed about things that were not yet in sight, devoutly constructed the ark for the saving of his family through which he condemned the world, while he fell heir to the righteousness that springs from faith.  Hebrews 11:7

Thank You Lord for the story of Noah that we can read in the Bible and feel the emotions.  Thank You for his example in listening and following Your guidance.  He knew he heard Your desires for his life, and he withstood all to follow You.  Thank You for his example of a faith that believes in spite of what others think.  Thank You for increasing our faith each day as we listen and obey.  Thank You that just as Noah’s family was saved, we too will be saved and will spend all eternity with You.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name!  Psalms 103:1

Thank You Lord for being our Lord and our Savior.  Thank You for the time we spent yesterday praising and thanking You, and for a day set aside to be thankful.  Thank You for the joy of this wonderful day we call Thanksgiving.  What a beautiful reminder for all of us to enjoy all You have blessed us with.  Thank You for being with us even if we were alone.  Oh, how precious those moments were with You knowing how much You love us.  Praise and Thanksgiving is such a part of our lives because You live within us.  Thank You for Your unconditional, everlasting love that will be with us throughout all eternity.

Thank You Lord for our day of celebration tomorrow – Thanksgiving.  Thank You for family and friends that gather together to enjoy a wonderful feast and think of all the things they have to be thankful for.  Even in the business of getting our meals ready Lord we are thankful.  Thank You for the abundance You provide.  Thank You for Your goodness throughout the year.  Thank You for being there for us during difficult days.  Thank You for your lovingkindness that is everlasting.  We love You Lord and thank and praise You for Your many blessings.

Thank You Lord for Your rewards in my life when I believed in You.  Thank You for my faith as a child of 8 to believe in You.  Thank You for changing my life in an instant.  Thank You for Your help in growing my faith day by day and showing me who and what You are and were.  Thank You for continuing to love me unconditionally imperfect as I still am.  I love You Lord and thank You for helping me moment by moment listen and obey as You guide and direct my life.

Thank You Lord for the wisdom You gave Solomon to help us on our journey here on earth.  How true this verse is and it reminds us of many things we can be thankful for.  When we hear the name of someone we know what comes to our minds.  Thank You Lord for helping us reflect Your love and compassion.  Thank You for helping others find love and comfort when they hear our name mentioned.  Thank You for helping us give the loving favors that are far more important than silver and gold.  Thank You for helping us listen to Your still small voice reminding us of Your love for us that was so freely given.  We love You Lord and long to be Your help to others as You guide and direct us.  Thank You for filling us with Your Love today to bring peace and joy to those that need it so badly.

Thank You Lord for helping us guard our mouths and our tongues.  OH…how we need your help!!!  And OH…the trouble such a little part of our body can get us into.  Thank You for helping us become more and more like You day after day.  Thank You for helping us choose words that help rather than hinder.   Thank You for helping us bring peace and joy to a world that needs to know Your love.

Thank You for the total confidence we can have in You Lord.  Thank You for always wanting the very best for our lives.  Thank You for helping us continue to praise and trust You when our life doesn’t turn out the way WE think it should.  Lord it is times like that when our minds question You and wonder why.  Thank You for helping us through those difficult times.  Thank You for Your tremendous help and comfort.  Thank You for helping us cling to You and continue trusting.  We love You Lord and KNOW that You are always there for us.
