Thought For Today

Say to God, “How awe-inspiring are Thy works; for Thy great power Thy enemies submit to Thee.  Psalms 66:3

Thank You Lord for YOUR GREAT works.  Thank YOU for YOUR GREAT POWER.  Thank You for being my Lord and my Savior.  Thank You for being Lord of MY life and MY enemies must SUBMIT to YOU too.  Lord the interesting thing about enemies is when they know they will lose their battle they aren’t enemies anymore.  Thank You for being Lord over our enemies.  Thank You for continuing to help us keep our eyes upon You as You give us FAITH and TRUST to know that ‘ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD.’  Thank You for giving us peace and joy in the midst of the storms of life.  We love You Lord and thank YOU.

Shout joyfully to God, all the earth; sing out to glorify His name; render Him glorious praise.   Psalm 66:1, 2

Thank You Lord for being our Lord and Savior.  Today we SHOUT joyfully and GLORIFY YOUR name for all we have been given.  Thank You for inviting us to come to You each and every day and each and every hour.  You are there and we praise and thank YOU.  Thank You for giving us the faith to believe for miracles.  Oh how blessed we are that nothing is too hard for You.  Thank You for loving us unconditionally and helping us become more and more like You.

For Thou hast been my help, and in the shadow of Thy wings I will sing joyfully .  Psalm 63:7

Thank You Lord for ALWAYS being there to help.  Thank You for Your promise to never leave us or forsake us.  Your unconditional love for us is amazing and calls us on to become more and more like You.  Thank You for loving us enough to pick us up and set us on our feet again when we slip and fall.  Thank You for being with us in all that goes on in our lives and assuring us that You see and You know.  Thank You for asking us to come to You and showing us that You delight in our asking.  Thank You for YOUR peace and joy that are ours as we keep our eyes fixed upon You.

When I remember Thee on my bed in the night watches, I meditate on Thee.  Psalms 63:6

Thank You Lord for being with us 24/7.  Thank You for listening to our cries in the middle of the night when all is quiet and dark.  You are there.  You hear our innermost thoughts.  Thank You for the peace that so often is beyond our own understanding that You provide.  You are there helping us with our fears and inmost thoughts and we thank You.  Thank You for reminding us who needs our prayers so we can concentrate upon their needs and concerns.  Oh what a Savior is ours and we thank and praise You.

Thank You Lord for the joyful lips we have because of Your love for us.  Thank You for filling us with Your love to share with all we meet.  Thank You for giving us Your satisfaction that only YOU can give.  Today we bless You Lord, and thank and praise You for loving us, and dying to give us life.

So have I beheld Thee in the sanctuary, to see Thy power and Thy glory.  Because Thy loving-kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise Thee.  Psalm 63:2, 3

Thank You Lord for our opportunities to worship You in our churches/sanctuaries today.  I too am blessed to feel ‘Your power and Your glory’ when I worship You there…with other that are rejoicing in Your love.  Thank You for the others that gather with me to praise and thank You for who and what You are.  Our hearts are full of love and praise, and we sing and listen to what You have to say to us.  Thank You for being in our midst and filling us full of Your love.  We love You Lord and thank You for YOUR peace and YOUR joy today.

O God, Thou art my God.  I seek Thee earnestly; my soul thirsts for Thee; my flesh longs for Thee; my flesh longs for Thee in a dry and worn-out land, where there is no water.  Psalms 63:1

Thank You Lord for being there when we seek You.  Thank You for being OUR God.  What a vivid description the Psalmist gives us of how desperately he was wanting Your help and presence with him.  How wonderful it is for us to know You do hear and You do answer us as we cry out to You.  Thank You for helping us all through those desperate moments when we need You desperately.  Thank You for helping us WAIT for Your answers while we wonder what to do.  Thank You that Your timing is always perfect.  We love You Lord and thank and praise You for all You are providing for us today.

Truly my soul looks in stillness to God; from Him is my salvation.  He alone is my rock and my health, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken.  Psalm 62:1, 2

Thank You Lord for being my rock.  Thank You for the faith to believe there is NOTHING too hard for You.  Thank You for the quiet times in our lives when we can pray and sense Your presence with us.  Thank You for blessing us with YOUR answers to our prayers.  Thank You for calming our souls when we ask, and changing our outlook as we keep our eyes focused upon You.  Thank You for YOUR insights that totally change the outlook for us, and we see things so different through Your eyes.  We love You Lord and thank You for helping us keep our eyes focuses upon You and Your will for our lives.

Thank You Lord for blessing us with Your presence as we seek You.  Thank You for Your promise ‘not to forsake those who seek You.’  Thank You for teaching us day by day how to trust You.  Thank You for Your wisdom and Your knowledge as we call out to You for help.  Oh how wonderful it is to know we are never alone….You are ALWAYS with us to guide and direct our paths.  Thank You for Your joy and Your peace today.

The angel said to the women, ‘Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.  He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.  Come and see the place where He lay.’  Matthew 28:5, 6

Thank You Lord for going to prepare a place for us to dwell with You forever.  How we loved celebrating our day set aside as Easter.  The angels were there in Your tomb to let us know that You were not there.  You had risen as You had promised.  Thank You for the joy that fills our hearts and minds as we celebrate.  HE IS RISEN!!!!  What beautiful words to repent and sing about.  Thank You for being our living Savior.
