Thought For Today

Though a thousand fall at my side, though 10,000 are dying around me the evil will not touch me. I will see how the wicked are punished but I will not share it. For Jehovah is my refuge. I choose the God above all gods to shelter me. Psalm 91:7 – 10

Thank You Lord that I made the choice as a child of 8 to turn my will and my life over to You. It was my own decision and my own choice. Thank You for giving me that choice. Thank You for being my refuge ever since. Thank You for being with me once again today. I am never alone Lord and I thank You.

Now you don’t need to be afraid of the dark any more, nor fear; the dangers of the day; nor dread the plagues of darkness, nor disaster in the morning. Psalms 91:5, 6

Lord once again we thank You for Your protection. Thank You for giving us verses like this one that assure us that You are watching over us. Tonight we can go to sleep knowing that You care and are watching. Thank You for Your peace that passes all human understanding. We love You Lord and thank You.

Thank You Lord for always being there for us. Thank You for being my refuge and place of safety. Nothing is too hard for You Lord and I am so glad I know that and have experienced it. I am so grateful that You are a God that we can trust. You never change….You never go back on Your word. Thank You for being with me today.

We live within the shadow of the Almighty, sheltered by the God who is above all gods. Psalms 91:1, 2

Thank You Lord for this wonderful Psalm. Thank You for showing us how much You cared for us and are watching over us. You are our rock. How comforting to know that we are ‘sheltered’ by You. ‘Sheltered!” Oh how we praise and thank You.

The Lord will keep you from all harm, He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. Psalms 121:7, 8

Thank You Lord for the confidence we can have in You. We can see in this verse how much You love us. You are watching over us no matter where we are and what we are doing. And….it isn’t just here on this earth You will watch over us for all eternity. We love You Lord and thank You. Thank You for Your peace today.

Jesus answered, “In solemn truth I tell you, anyone believing in Me shall do the same miracles I have done, and even greater ones, because I am going to be with the Father. You can ask Him to do anything, using My name, and I will do it, for this will bring praise to the Father because of what I, the Son, will do for you. Yes, ask anything, using My name, and I will do it! John 14:12 – 14

Thank You Lord for these promises. What a gift and privilege we have when we can come to You with our many request knowing confidently that You will answer. Your answer may not always be the way we want it to be because You know what is best. Thank You for the promise that You will never leave us or forsake us. You are here with us today Lord and we thank You.

Thank God for His Son—His gift too wonderful for words. 2 Corinthians 9:15

Thank You Lord for coming to earth because You love us. Over and over Lord it tells me how much You love us because Your love is unconditional. There are no strings attached. We don’t have to wait to be good enough. When we make You Lord of our lives You take us as we are and love us. Our lives are changed and You get us ready to spend all eternity with You. We are blessed by Your gift of peace in the midst of the storms of life. Oh how we thank and praise YOU.

Jesus said to him, (Thomas) “I am the way—yes, and the truth and the life. No one can get to the Father except by means of me.” John 14:6

How blessed we are that You came to earth Lord to die for us that we could spend all eternity with You. What a beautiful thought. You walk with us here on earth and when You call us home we will live with You forever and ever. Oh how we praise and thank You.

Thank You Lord for helping us obtain this wonderful list of fruits that will bring us peace and peace to all that are around us. When I read this list and evaluate my own life I have to say that I am glad You love me unconditionally because I fall way short of what I would want to be. I am certainly a person in progress. Thank You for helping me each day as I continue my journey with You. I know You are there changing me moment by moment and that is the good news. Oh how I praise and thank You! Thank You for being here today to bring peace and joy.

And they will pray for you with deep fervor and feeling because of the wonderful grace of God shown through you. 2 Corinthians 9:13, 14

Lord we continue to thank and praise You for Your gifts given to us to share with others. We thank You once again for blessing us so deeply when we give. Thank You for the joy in giving. Thank You for the givers that have blessed my life. Thank You for another day to love and serve and give. Thank You for Your love and peace. We love You Lord and thank YOU for walking with us today.
