Thought For Today

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

Lord …Thank You for being with us today. This verse gives us the confidence in You that we need to make it through each day and ESPECIALLY days when we don’t understand what is going on in our lives. Thank You for assuring us that You are there. You know and You see. There is nothing that we cannot handle because You are our strength and our wisdom. You are there helping us each moment of every day. Thank You for taking our fears. Thank You for helping us not be discouraged. Thank You for showing us Your love over and over. Thank You for those You bring into our lives to help us. Lord thank You that we can hold on tightly to all Your promises and KNOW that You are there with Your mighty power bringing us through in victory. Oh how we praise and thank You today.

The Lord your God is God; He is the faithful God, keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commands. Deuteronomy 7:9

Thank You Lord for Your faithfulness. Thank You for being here with us today. How grateful we are that we have watched You ‘keep Your covenant of love’ and know how true that is. Thank You for the hope and confidence that covenant give us today. We love You Lord and thank You for Your unconditional love for us. Thank You that we ARE one of those generations that ‘love You and keep Your commands.’

Satisfy us in the morning with Your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. Psalms 90:14

Lord how thankful I am for Your words of thanks and wisdom that You give me each day. How blessed I feel to sit at Your feet and listen to what You want me to thank You for. Your blessings are all around and within me and yet how wonderful it is when You help me dwell upon them throughout each moment of every day. Thank You for helping me start my day with gratitude and joy. Thank You for teaching me each day how to focus upon Your goodness and Your love for me. I love You Lord and thank and praise You for Your unconditional love. What a beautiful reminder this verse is to all of us. Starting our day focused upon Your love for us is satisfying and awesome. Yes, we CAN ‘rejoice and be glad all our days.’ What a gift and what a joy.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23

Thank You Lord for helping us with ALL the fruits listed above. It is Your strength and Your wisdom that helps us with each one of them. I am the first to admit the one that is the hardest for me is patience. It seems today more than ever in my lifetime we want everything instantly. Often that isn’t how You work in our lives. There are lessons we have to learn in the waiting. Lord today we are not people that want to wait and wait and wait. BUT so often when we look back after waiting we are thankful for we see Your hand at work changing our outlook and our lives. So….thank You Lord for ALL these gifts that are the fruit of the Spirit. Thank You for showing us Your way and giving us Your wisdom. Thank You for walking with us today and not only walking with us….thank You for holding our hand. Thank You for Your love each moment of every day.

The Lord is GOOD His unfailing LOVE continues FOREVER. Psalms 100:5

Thank You Lord that You are ‘GOOD’ and Your ‘unfailing LOVE’ continues ‘FOREVER’. Lord today we have much to thank and praise You for when we let this verse sink deep into our hearts. Your love for us is an unconditional love…and how blessed we are for that. Not only is Your love unconditional it will go on for all eternity. Oh what a smile that puts on our face Lord as we go throughout our day thanking and praising You.

The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you, He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Deuteronomy 31:8

Thank You Lord once again for reminding us that You are ALWAYS with us. Yesterday You reminded us not to be afraid. Today You are reminding us the same thing and adding to the ‘do not be afraid’ ….’do not be discouraged.’ Some days Lord we need to hear these words over and over and over. Yes, we know they are true because we have experienced them ourselves BUT when thing happen in our lives that we don’t understand and don’t like we need to be constantly reminded that You are with us. You see all and know all and are in control. We just need to keep walking and keep trusting. Thank You for Your constant reminders. We love You Lord and want to be the best we can be for You. Thank You for helping us each moment of every day.

For I hold you by your right hand. I, the Lord your God. And I say to you, don’t be afraid. I am here to help you. Isaiah 41:13

Thank You Lord for Your many wonderful promises that help us make it through each day. Our unreasonable fears seem so real when we have them. Thank You for verses like this one that tell us to call upon You because You are always there to calm our fears and comfort us. When we turn our fears to the vision of You holding our hand what a difference that makes in our lives. When we focus on You…the Lord of the whole world…holding our hand and calming us ….oh what comfort we are given. And then You tell us ‘don’t be afraid.’ It is then that peace takes over and we become calm and relaxed. We are safe in the arms of You Lord Jesus. Oh how we thank and praise You for Your peace and comfort today. Thank YOU for ALWAYS holding our hand and being with us.

Show me Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day. Psalms 25:4, 5

Thank You Lord for Your presence in our lives. How wonderful it is for us to hear Your directions for our lives. I have always known as a little child that if I wanted true joy in my life I must listen and obey You. Thank You for bringing answers quickly Lord when we ask and seek You. I can hear in this verse that the answer was taking longer than the Psalmist had wanted it to take. I’ve been there too Lord and waiting can be hard and frustrating. The Psalmist said, ‘on You I wait all the day.’ Thank You for helping us during those times we have to wait. You are always there showing us how to wait and listen. Oh how we thank You Lord for being our ‘rock’…. Thank You for loving us and wanting the very best for our lives.

Thank you Lord for Your encouraging words today. Oh how we all need Your help each day. We need Your wisdom and Your knowledge each step of our way. Oh how much happier we are when we let You guide us and direct our pathway. Thank You for helping us ‘trust You.’ Your help is always there and often You bring that help in very unusual ways. It is then we see Your hand in it all so clearly and thank You. Our faith grows stronger and our love for You grows and grows. Thank You for being with us today in a very special way.

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! His faithful love endures forever. Psalms 136:1

Thank You once again Lord for this reminder. I love this verse Lord because it is a constant reminder of Your unconditional love for me. My verse yesterday reminded me of how little I know of Your plans for my lifetime here on earth. I want to walk with You day by day as YOUR plan unfolds. This verse reminds me that You are GOOD. Not only are You good but Your faithful love endures with me forever. There is nothing in my lifetime that You will not help me with and through. Oh how I praise and thank You today for these helpful verses. Thank You for Your love for me each moment of the day and night. I am so, so blessed. And the greatest gift of all Lord is that this is not only for me but for all that reach out and take You as their Lord and Savior. Oh how I thank and praise You for YOUR free gift to each of us.
