Thought For Today

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways MY ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8, 9

Thank You Lord for this reminder today. Oh so often Lord I have to stop and remember that You know so much more than I know. I can only see and know what is happening in this moment. How thankful I am Lord that You can see from the beginning to the end. Thank You for caring about ME. Thank You for wanting the very best for my life. Thank You for giving me the faith to believe and the wisdom to trust You. Thank You for never leaving or forsaking me. Oh how very, very blessed I am and I thank You.

Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” John 8:12

Thank You Lord for being our guiding light. Thank You for being the ‘light of the world.’ Thank You for helping us make decisions when we are not sure which way to turn. Oh how wonderful it is to have You to depend upon. We love You Lord and thank You for Your many blessings given freely to us each day.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8

Thank You Lord for being the same Lord that never changes and we have the assurance You will remain the same loving Lord throughout all eternity. What a relief this is when we stop to think upon that fact. Our lives and our world seems to be in constant change today. We are faced with coping with things we never thought we would have to cope with. Thank You that You are still the same Lord…..You are still loving us unconditionally and helping us each moment of every day. Oh how we thank and praise You.

Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalms 34:4

Thank You Lord that when we want what You want for our lives we are satisfied and that is why this verse means so much to us that love You. I have it on my computer at work as a reminder that You love me and want the very best for my life. I find it is so easy for me to wonder WHY when it isn’t what “I” want. It is then You show me I don’t know the end result I am only living in today. You know the WHYs in my life and that is why I need to be reminded of this wonderful verse. You are there encouraging me and strengthening me to meet each issue of each moment of my life. Oh how I praise and thank You for never leaving me or forsaking me. Thank You for this promise Lord as I keep my eyes upon You and the perfect peace that only YOU can give.

Whoever believes in Me, as scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them. John 7:38

Thank You Lord for the promise that rivers of LIVING water will flow from us because we believe Your words and are trusting in You. How blessed we are to know that those words can only come out because of the change that has happened within us. You came in and changed us from darkness to light. When we ask You to fill our minds with Your love and compassion the words that come out are changed. They are changed to rivers of LIVING water. Thank You Lord for Your power in our lives that changes us into Your likeness. We love You Lord and thank and praise You.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to rest and approve what God’s will is — His good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2

Lord this verse struck at my heart when I read it. Thank You for showing us the way. You have given us the pathway to follow. Thank You for renewing our minds when we look at Your scriptures that guide us. How awesome it is that when we look to You and trust You we grow and change into Your image. Thank You for Your gentle call to me …a little girl of 8….when I answered and knelt beside my father’s bed telling him that I wanted Jesus to come into my heart. Thank You that my life was changed. I knew it and I felt a change even at that very young age. Thank You that since that day I have always ask You to guide and direct my life. I only wanted what You wanted for me. The good news is You have always been with me guiding and directing my life. Has it always been EASY Lord – certainly not and that is where Your strength came in to help me and teach me to trust…… Oh how I praise and thank You today for being my ROCK and my GUIDE.

I give thanks to You O Lord my God with my whole heart and I will glorify Your name forever. Psalms 86:12

Oh Lord how can we ever say thank You enough. Each day we experience You gifts and Your blessings. Thank You for Your many promises we can stand on while we wait for You to answer us. Your unconditional love is amazing. You never give up on us but are always calling us on to become more and more like You. We praise and thank You Lord with all our hearts for being our potter and molding us and making us more and more like You.

O Lord, Thou art my God; I will exalt Thee, I will praise Thy name, for Thou hast done wonderful things, Thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. Isaiah 25:1

Thank You Lord for Your faithfulness and Your truth. How great it is to read scriptures of old that teach us how trusting in You changed circumstance and changed live. You calmed the storm on the sea just like You calm our storms in our lives today. You ALWAYS have been faithful throughout the ages past and You are that same faithful Lord today. Oh how we thank and praise You for being with us each moment today.

Thank You Lord that each and every day and night we can trust in You. You are our refuge. You are our rock. You are our deliverer. There is NOTHING too hard for You. Oh how we thank and praise You today for all You are to us. We walk with confidence because You are with us. Thank You for being our shield today.

God will command His angels to protect you wherever you go. Psalms 91:11

Thank You Lord for the confidence we can have in You. Your love for us commands angels to protect us. We need never fear knowing that You know all about us and care about our lives. How awesome that the angels are there listening to Your commands and obeying as they worship You. Oh how blessed we are Lord and we thank and praise You.
