Thought For Today

He is the maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them He remains faithful forever. Psalms 146:6

Lord how we thank You for the beauty of this earth. There is something about nature that calms our souls. We have zoos so we can see the beautiful animals from all over the world that You created. That has always been exciting to me and I loved so much taking my brothers and sisters to the wonderful Toledo Zoo when they were growing up. Today I get to experience the beauty of the animals on the river where I live and thank You as I watch them. The ducks flying in formation ….how did they know to do that except that You gave them that knowledge. Oh how we thank and praise You Lord for all You have given us that is free to enjoy. We are so, so blessed and You ‘remain faithful to us forever.’ We love what You have created for us and we thank You. We love You Lord for Your many gifts and blessing. Thank You for being with us each moment of this day.

The Lord will keep you from all harm—He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. Psalms 121:7-9

Thank you Lord for this wonderful promise. What a comfort it is to know that You are ALWAYS watching over us right now and forevermore. Thank You for Your many promises that we stand upon every day. Thank You that we can know there is nothing too hard for You and there are no impossibilities for You. You love us and want what is best for our lives. Sometimes that best is to bring us out of ourselves and closer to You. Those are the times we draw upon YOUR strength in our own weakness and YOU ARE there helping us. Thank You for the joy and peace You give us as we depend upon You. Oh how we praise and thank You.

For nothing is ever impossible with God. Luke 1:37

Thank You Lord for doing the impossible. Thank You for being there for us 24/7 to call upon You for help and encouragement. We are never alone Lord. Thank You for always being with us. When we are on the mountain top we can look all around us and see all Your gifts and blessings. Oh how we long to stay right there with You but You have so much more to teach us. When we are in the valley it is often at that time when we feel even closer to You because our total dependence is upon You. Oh how we then praise and thank You for being our ROCK and our STRENGTH. How can we ever praise You enough Lord for all You are to us. We just bow now and say ‘Thank YOU.’ We are so, so blessed.

Lord when I read a scripture like this one my mind just can’t fathom Your love for me. You are the Lord of the universe and You care about me so much that You hold on to me and even though I stumble You won’t let me fall. How blessed I am and how blessed I feel. Thank You for Your love and tender compassion. Thank You for helping me understand the things in life that cause me to stumble. Things that cause me to question my walk with You and ask myself…. did I miss something You were trying to teach me. As I stumble … how comforting to know You won’t let me fall. You will show me the way. Oh how I thank and praise You.

Thank You Lord for giving us the strength and the wisdom to not give up. It is Your calling deep within us that give us the power to keep moving forward. Your wisdom and strength are amazing. Thank You for giving us the confidence in knowing that we WILL reap if we do not give up. As we call upon You for help we see Your blessings all around us. We are never alone Lord for we know You are always with us to bring comfort and joy. Thank You for Your peace today. We love You Lord and thank You for Your Unconditional love for us.

Thank You Lord for the confidence we can have in You. Thank You for always being mindful of what is best for our lives. Often Lord we have a hard time understanding the ‘why’ in life. It is then that we have Your promises reminding us that You are always with us. And that wonderful verse that tell us …ALL thing work together for GOOD…. Now You are reminding us that the work You began in us was a GOOD work from our beginning. AND that GOOD work will continue until we see You face to face. We are so blessed Lord and we thank You for the many great promises that are ours that love You. Oh how can we help but praise and thank You every waking hour. We love You Lord.

Lord how we praise and thank You for Your gifts to us. It is YOUR power, love and help with self-discipline that give us beautiful days. Thank You for showing us how Your unconditional love makes us more and more like You. Thank You for helping us share Your love with others just as the beautiful Mother Teresa did when she was here on earth. Thank You for teaching us it is more blessed to give than to receive. Thank You for giving Your all for us. Oh how we praise and thank You today for Your gifts of power, love and self-discipline.

Thank You Lord that we can depend upon You to take care of us because You know the beginning from the end. I think I need to re-read this verse every morning and let it sink deep into my heart. I find it so easy Lord to think ‘I’ have the answers when I don’t have a clue nor do I see the end results. How wonderful it is to sit back in silence and let You work Your miracles. Oh yes, I know there is a time to speak and a time not to speak but the majority of the time I would have been better off to have been silent. You know the beginning from the end. You are Lord! Oh how I thank and praise You for being our rock and our protector.

Thank You Lord for knowing all about us. It is wonderful that You created us and know everything about us. Thank You for Your insights and helps each day as we endeavor to become more and more like you. Thank You that we can ask You to search our hearts and show us our shortcomings. The best part Lord is that You not only show them to us You help us overcome them. Oh sure sometimes it doesn’t happen overnight but all of a sudden we look back and notice they are gone. Oh how blessed we are and we thank You. Thank You for loving us UNCONDITIONALLY as we change moment by moment into Your likeness. We love You Lord and thank and praise You for Your love for us.

Thank You Lord for giving each of us another day to feel Your love and to praise and worship You. Thank You for being with us for the joys of today. We love You Lord and thank You for Your many promises You are teaching us to stand upon. Thank You for teaching us that You are there each and every moment of our lives giving us the courage and joy to walk on with You. Oh how blessed we are that You are our rock and our guide. Over and over You remind us that You are with us so we never need to live in fear. Oh how we love You Lord for Your many blessing and comfort. Thank You for Your peace and joy today.
