Thought For Today

For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. John 1:17

Lord how blessed we all are that are on this earth today because You came to die for us.

Thank You for Your plan of redemption.

Thank You for changing our lives so that we no longer had to live by the law but were given Your grace.

Lord when we really get hold of what that means to us it changes our gratitude. Oh how fortunate we are because of Your great love for us.

Thank You! Thank you Lord.

And from His (Jesus) fullness have we all received, grace upon grace. John 1:16

Oh Lord how grateful I am because of Your grace. I sure don’t deserve it and yet You give it so freely. Thank You Lord for grace – Your unmerited favor. Favor that I sure don’t deserve and yet You give it to me over and over. I am humbled….. Thank You for loving me so much. Thank You Lord.

John bore witness to Him, (Jesus) and cried, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me ranks before me, for He was before me.’” John 1:15

Lord I can hear the excitement in John’s voice as he cries out to anyone that would listen that You were here. John was a selfless man Lord. He was a man that was on this earth to bring all the attention to You and why You were on this earth.

Thank You Lord for John and his example to all of us.

Thank You for those today that are so full of You that they are selfless.

Thank You for the difference they make in the lives of those that are around them.

Thank You for the gift of those that love You and serve You. We are all blessed by their presence among us.

Thank You Lord.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; we have beheld His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father. John 1:14

Lord just typing this takes me to my knees in humility. When I think of all You have given me and done for me I am so grateful. You came – You lived – You died and rose again that I might have life. I am humbled. I am grateful. Thank You Lord.

Thank You Lord for the option You give us to receive You.

Thank You that You ask us to become Your children.

Thank You for loving us enough to die for us.

Oh how blessed we are Lord because of You.

He came to His own home and His own people received Him not.
John 1:11

Lord how hard is for all of us to feel rejected. You were rejected by Your own people.

Thank You Lord that when our feeling are hurt and we cry out to You …..You hear and help us.

Thank You that there is nothing in our lives that goes unnoticed by You.

Thank You that You are always there to bring comfort and cheer.

Thank You that we can KNOW that Your power in our lives is there for the asking.

Oh how blessed we are because of You Lord.

He was in the world and the world was made through Him, yet the world knew Him not. John 1:10

Lord how blessed we are to know You……to really know and trust You.

Thank You Lord that You call us to Yourself and You want us to know You and know all about You.

Thank You for coming to earth and showing us what You were like.

Thank You for being our example.

Thank You Lord.

Lord, thank You for coming into the world.

Thank You for coming into my world.

Thank You that I am not someone special – You came for EVERY man.

Thank You that You are always there to enlighten us and draw us closer to You.

He (John) was not the light but came to bear witness to the light. John 1:8

Thank You Lord that You use common people to spread Your light.

Thank You for John that loved You and was waiting and watching for You to come to earth.

Thank You for allowing us to be Your hands and Your feet.

Oh to be like You Lord – full of Your light within that shines brightly.

Thank You for calling us to become more than we ever thought we could be.

Thank You Lord for a wonderful Easter weekend. It was a time to remember Your death and resurrection. Your gifts to us.

Thank You for the love that is felt during this special weekend of remembrance.

Thank You for the joy of being with family and friends.

Thank You for the gift of Your unconditional love.
