He (Andrew) first found his brother Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which means Christ). John 1:41

Lord thank You for those that want to share You with others.

Thank You for Andrew’s willingness to share with his brother.

Thank You for enthusiasm. What a gift it is in every area of our lives.

Thank You that You allow us to share the good things in our lives with others and especially those in our families.

Thank You Lord for the many gifts we have all around us that we take so for granted every day.

Thank You Lord.

One of the two (of John’s disciples) who heard John speak and followed Him (Jesus) was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. John 1:40

Lord because we know what happened later we know that Andrew was one of Your twelve disciples that followed You.

Now we see how that happened that he left John’s group of disciples and followed You.

Thank You for the preparation John gave Andrew so that he knew that You were indeed the one John was looking for.

Thank You for those in our lives that point us to You.

Oh how blessed we are to have those that will show us the way.

Thank You Lord for each one that brings us closer to You.

Thank You Lord.

He (Jesus) said to them, (John’s two disciples) “Come and see.” They came and saw where He was staying and they stayed with Him that day, for it was about the tenth hour. John 1:39

Thank You Lord that once these two men found You they never wanted to leave You.

Thank You that they were not timid when they approached You but asked where You were staying because they wanted to be with You.

Thank You too that You wanted them there.

Thank You for calling each of us to Yourself and wanting us to stay with You.

Oh what a gift! Oh what a privilege.

Thank You Lord.

And they (John’s two disciples) said to Him, (Jesus) “Rabbi” (which means Teacher) “where are you staying? John 1:38 b

Thank You Lord for these two men that wanted to be with You.

Thank You for asking all of us today to come ….be with You.

Oh no we can’t see You on earth today but we know You are with us because You told us You would be.

Oh how blessed we are because You came to earth.

Thank You. Thank You Lord.

Jesus turned and saw them following and said to them, (John’s two disciples) “What do you seek?” John 1:38

Thank You Lord for the privilege of following You.

Thank You for John’s two disciples that left John and followed You.

Thank You that we can know that You are the Christ the Son of God.

How blessed we are that You call each of us to ‘come follow You.’

Thank You! Thank You Lord.

The two disciples (of John) heard him (John) say this, (‘Behold the Lamb of God!’) and they followed Jesus. John 1:37

Lord, once again we see what John was all about. His two followers left him and went with You.

Thank You Lord for John’s willingness to give up his two disciples because of his love for You.

Thanks You for the many people in life that have given up family and friends when they leave their comforts to spread Your gospel.

Thank You for those that are called by You and are willing to go because of their great love for You.

Thank You for Your guiding light that shines brightly for us to see and follow.

Oh to be used of You Lord and be like John.

Thank You that You never lead us into anything without helping us be our best.

Thank You Lord.

The next day again John was standing with two of his disciples; and he looked at Jesus as he walked, and said, “Behold the Lamb of God.” John 1:35

Lord, John was always pointing people to You. He was even pointing his own followers to You.

Thank You Lord for those that point us to You.

Thank You for those that are so transparent that when we are around them we see You in them.

Thank You for their desire to know You better and better.

Thank You for the desire You give all of us to want to become more and more like You.

What a gift!

Thank You Lord.

And John bore witness, “I saw the Spirit descend as a dove from heaven and it remained on Him. I myself did not know Him; but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘He on whom you see the Spirit descent and remain, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’ And I have seen and have borne witness that this is the Son of God.” Luke 1:32 – 34

Lord, You had called John and given him a special gift. He knew You were coming. What must it have been like for him when this dove landed upon You and then stayed there. He knew You were the one he was waiting for. What an exciting time that must have been. His heart must have been flooded with praise and thanksgiving.

Thanks again Lord for John’s desire to follow and listen to You.

Thank You for showing him who You were.

Oh to be so close to You Lord that we hear Your still small voice guiding our lives.

Thank You that that gift is for all us today too.

Thank You Lord.

(John continued) “I myself did not know Him; but for this I came baptizing with water, that He might be revealed to Israel.” John 1:31

Lord the faith of John is amazing. He told those that were listening that he didn’t even know You and yet he believed. He wanted others to know about You and believe in You.

Thank You Lord for those that carry the gospel.

Thank You for their love and devotion to you.

Thank You for their joy and trust in You.

Thank You that they don’t keep it to themselves but want to share it with the rest of the world.

Thank You Lord.

(John continued) “This is He (Jesus) of whom I said, ‘After me comes a man who ranks before me, for He was before me.’” John 1:30

Lord, once again we see John’s humility.

Thank You Lord that John was so transparent that he wanted others to see that he was only interested in pointing them to You.

Thank You for John’s love for You Lord.

Thank You that John didn’t want to be noticed but wanted those he was talking with to only see You.

Thank You Lord for those that point us to You.

Thank You Lord.
