And He (Jesus) told those who sold the pigeons, “”Take these things away; you shall not make my Father’s house a house of trade.” John 2:16
Thank You Lord for always being about Your Father’s business.
Thank You that You were here to do what You were sent to do.
Thank You for not letting these men get away with something that was wrong.
Thank You for being our example.
Oh to be like You Lord.
Thank You for changing us from the inside out.
Thank You Lord.

And making a whip of cords, He (Jesus) drove them all, with the sheep and oxen, out of the temple; and He poured out the coins of the money-changers and overturned their tables. John 2:15
Lord it seems this verse has been used so often to show what you were like when others were not doing the right thing. These men were taking advantage of those that would come to buy from them.
Thank You Lord that You were there to make others see who and what You were.
Thank you for showing everyone that they could not get by with these things that were not honoring to God.
Thank You for Your honesty and compassion.
Thank You Lord.

In the temple He (Jesus) found those who were selling oxen and sheep and pigeons, and the money-changers at their business. John 2:14
Lord we have so much to be thankful for today when we read this scripture.
Thank You for coming to earth and paying the price for us.
What a difference our lives are today because You came and died for each one of us.
How can we ever thank You enough Lord.
What a gift.
Thank You. Thank You Lord.

Thank You Lord for obeying Your Father and going where He wanted You to go.
Thank You for going to Jerusalem for the Passover.
Thank You that You were willing to do whatever You needed to do.

Oh to be like You Lord and follow Your call.

After this He (Jesus) went down to Capernaum, with His mother and His brothers and His disciples; and there they stayed for a few days. John 2:12
Thank You Lord for families and time spent together.
You were with those You loved and were spending time with them.
Lord it seems today time is at a premium and most of us struggle to have time for all we want to do. Thank You for helping us with our priorities. Thank You for showing us what the truly important things in life are.
Thank You for Your guidance and Your direction.
Thank You Lord.

This, the first of His signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and manifested His glory; and his disciples believed in Him. John 2:11
Lord it seems today we see the word ‘believe’ everywhere. A little word with a big meaning. BELIEVE.
Thank You for Your disciples that believed in You.
Thank You that they believed in You even before they saw this miracle.
Thank You for showing everyone at that wedding feast who You were.
Thank You that we have this history which helps us like the disciples see and believe.
Thank You Lord.

When the steward of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the steward of the feast called the bridegroom and said to him, “Every man serves the good wine first; and when men have drunk freely, then the poor wine; but you have kept the good wine until now.” John 2:9, 10
Lord it was time for everyone to see a miracle and to know who You truly were. This steward was questioning the bridegroom and asking why he would save the best wine until last.
Thank You Lord for miracles.
Thank You that nothing is impossible for You.
Thank You for caring about all that happens in our lives even to the point of changing water into wine.
Oh how blessed we are that You know all about us and care.
Thank You Lord.

He (Jesus) said to them, (servants at the wedding feast) “Now draw some out and take it to the steward of the feast.” So they took it. John 2:8
Did they notice that the water had been changed into wine? Was it still water as they took it? When did it become wine?
Lord I don’t know the answer to these questions and they really don’t matter. As the story unfolds we will all read about the miracle that happened that day.
Thank You Lord that John wrote about Your life.
Thank You that he shows us the miracle of that day.
Thank You for servants that did exactly what You asked them to do.
They were the winners Lord and we too are winners when we do what You ask of us.
Thank You for asking us Lord.
What an honor. What a privilege.
Thank You Lord.

(Jesus at the wedding) Now six stone jars were standing there, for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty gallons. Jesus said to them, “Fill the jars with water.” And they filled them to the brim. John 2:6, 7
Lord it is so interesting that these servants did exactly as You asked them to do. They were expecting You to do something and didn’t even ask You why You wanted the pots filled with water. They immediately obeyed with no questions asked.
Thank You Lord for those that do as You say and never question why.
Thank You that they believe in You.
Thank You for their faith.
Thank You for their trust.
Thank You that You give each of us the ability to have that same belief, faith and trust.
Thank You for calling us all to become more and more like You.
Thank You Lord.

His (Jesus) mother said to the servants, “Do whatever He tells you.” John 2:5
Lord it is wonderful to have our moms be our best fans. Your mother certainly was as is evidenced by her command to the servants.
Thank You Lord for the joy of motherhood.
Thank You for choosing to come to earth via a mother.
Thank You for Your love and concern for You own mother.
Thank You for these servants that were willing to listen to her.
We can see a beautiful picture here Lord and I thank You.
Thank You Lord.
