(Jesus continued talking with the Jews) “But I know that you have not the love of God within you.” John 5:42
Lord how sad it must have been for You talking with these men and all the time You knew what their hearts were like. You knew that they did not have a love for God. You knew that they were trying to do all they could to discredit who You were and why You came.
Thank You Lord for continuing to try to tell them how well You knew them and what they were thinking.
Thank You for Your compassion.
Thank You for continuing to call us to Yourself.
Thank You for the joy You give us when we follow You.
Thank You Lord for a day to celebrate and be thankful – Thanksgiving.
Thank You that each day I can sit at Your feet and have You teach me to be grateful.
I am so, so blessed Lord and I thank You.
Thank You Lord.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!! Have a wonderful day. My love and prayers are with you.

(Jesus continued) “I do not receive glory from men.” John 5:41
Lord once again I have to thank You for being our example.
Thank You for showing us how to be about our Father’s business.
Thank You for never losing sight of Your reason for coming to earth.
Thank You for calling each of us and then giving us the ability to not lose sight of our goal.
Oh how blessed we are.
Thank You Lord.

(Jesus continued talking with the Jews) “You search the scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness to Me; yet you refuse to come to Me that you may have life.” John 5:39, 40
Lord these men were searching for You and yet they would not believe.
Thank You Lord for opening our eyes of understanding.
Thank You for showing us who You truly are.
Thank You for loving us with Your unconditional love.
Thank You for Your peace.
Thank You Lord.

(Jesus continued) “And the Father who sent Me has Himself borne witness to Me, His voice you have never heard, His form you have never seen; and you do not have His word abiding in you, for you do not believe Him whom He sent.” Luke 5:37, 38
Lord ….. Your example is perfect. It shows us what to do when those around us do not believe in us. These Jews did not believe You. They were more willing to argue with You than to accept and believe who You were. You kept trying to tell them but their ears were closed.
Thank You Lord that You still call us today to come and follow You.
Thank You for changing our lives when we say ‘yes’ to You.
Oh to be like You Lord is our cry.
Thank You for changing us moment by moment and day by day.
Thank You Lord.

(Jesus continued talking with the Jews) “But the testimony which I have is greater than that of John; for the works which the Father has granted me to accomplish, these very works which I am doing, bear me witness that the Father has sent me. John 5:36
Thank You Lord that You had and still have all the answers.
Thank You for telling these Jews who You were and why You were here.
Thank You for those that believed You and followed You.
Thank You that today You call each one of us to come …..follow You.
Thank You Lord.

He was a burning and shining lamp and you were willing to rejoice for a while in his light. John 5:35
Lord, John the Baptist was a very interesting man. He had lots of people that followed him and were his disciples before You came to earth. He was very loyal to You. He watched for Your coming. Until all this happened with You the men You were talking with were okay with John.
Thank You Lord for taking all the abuse that You did when You were on this earth.
Thank You for listening to Your Father.
Thank You that we too can listen to You and obey.
Thank You that You care all about us and love us in spite of our shortcomings.
We are truly thankful for Your love for us.
Thank You Lord.

You sent to John and he has borne witness to the truth. John 5:33
Lord You were trying to convince the Jews that did not want to believe You. They knew John and believed Him. They were asking John and John had validated what he knew to be true.
Thank You Lord for those that are on our side and believe in us.
Thank You for John that had been waiting for You and knew who You were.
Thank You for John’s closeness to God so that he knew and believed.
Thank You for giving us all the ability to draw closer to You and listen.
Thank You Lord.

(Jesus continued) “If I bear witness to Myself, My testimony is not true; there is another who bears witness to Me, and I know that the testimony which He bears to Me is true.” John 5:31, 32
Thank You Lord for always pointing us to the truth.
Thank You for being true to Your word.
Thank You that Your words show us who You are.
Lord when we follow Your examples we too know the truth.
Thank You that the truth has set us free.
Thank You Lord.

(Jesus continued) “For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son also to have life in Himself, and has given Him authority to execute judgment, because He is the Son of man.”
John 5:26, 27
Thank You Lord that we too have life because of You.
Thank You for the peace that You alone can bring in the midst of a storm.
Thank You for Your presence with us. You are always there Lord even when we don’t feel like You are there.
Oh how blessed we are. Thank You.
Thank You Lord.
