Thought For Today

May the God of Peace, who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, …that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, equip you with everything good for doing His will; working within us through Jesus Christ what is well-pleasing in His sight. To Him be glory forever and ever. Hebrews 13:20, 21

Thank You Lord for Your mighty power working in and through us. I am so often amazed at the way You work and how You bolster our faith when we see the mighty things You choose to do through us humble human beings. There is NOTHING too hard for You. We are Your children and You love us. Thank You for being with us today. Thank You for helping us live our lives today to bring honor and glory to YOUR name. We love You Lord and thank You for our many gifts and blessings today.

Thank You Lord for this wonderful promise. So often Lord we wonder why something is happening in our live only to find out the answer at a much later time. We see then how You were guiding and directing our lives. Thank You for knowing all about us and causing ALL things to work together for our good because we love You and long to do Your will. Today we thank You for Your many gifts and blessings. We love You Lord and thank YOU for Your unconditional love for us.

Thank You for Your promises Lord. Oh how great they are to stand on and claim as our victory. Truly Your love for us is unfailing. Yes, You have redeemed us and called us Your children. You are guiding us to Your Holy dwelling just as You did all the others that loved You and have gone before us. We saw You lead Your people over and over with many exciting miracles. Thank You for being that same loving Savior today. Your love for us and our love for You calls us on to become more and more like You. We love You Lord. Thank You for Your peace and joy today.

They who dwell in the ends of the earth stand in awe of Your signs, You make the dawn and the sunset shout for joy. Psalms 65:8

Lord we just can’t thank You enough for everything You have created for our pleasure. Thank You for these free gifts that are ours. There is such beauty in the sun rise where I have a cottage on the river. A new day has begun. The birds are chirping. The whole day is in front of me and You are right in the midst of it all. I can’t help but stand at my window and thank You for another day. And then when near the ocean what a pleasure to stand and watch the sun go down….another day completed. Another day to thank and praise You for all the pleasures of the day.

We have much to praise and thank You for Lord. You are always there with Your comfort and unconditional love that has no limits. We are never alone and I thank and praise You.

Thank You Lord for this beautiful earth You have made for us to enjoy. There is so much to enjoy….we never get tired of looking and we never can see in a lifetime all Your wonders that are here for us. What must heaven be like for us to enjoy for all eternity when we think of all our joys on this earth. Truly we are blessed by You each day when we stop and admire all that is around us. Oh how we thank and praise You. We ARE truly blessed.

However, as it is written; “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”—the things God has prepared for those who love Him—these are the things God has revealed to us by His Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 1 Corinthians 2:9, 10

Thank You Lord for revealing the ‘deep things of God’ to us. As we keep walking with You and have our spiritual eyes wide open we begin to see and become more and more aware of all You want to teach us. How I love to sit at Your feet every day and listen to You as I write my prayer of thanks to You. Thank You for the new insights I have been given that are helping me know You better and praise and thank You more. Thank You too for each person reading Your scripture and for the way You are working in their lives as they grow closer to You. Your blessings and gifts encourage us as we continue to walk with You. Oh how we thank You for each of Your gifts that we see and the many we miss that You are providing.

Thank You Lord that there is nothing to hard for You. You gave us Your all when You died on the cross to redeem us. We are Your much loved children. You know all about each one of us and the need we have at any given moment. You are there to help us each moment of every day. Thank You for the confidence we can have in You as we continue to trust and obey through the storms and disappointments in our lives. We love You Lord and thank You for Your many gifts and blessings You are providing today.

Yet I (King David) am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am living in the land of the living. Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord. Psalms 27:13:14

Thank You Lord for helping us wait. I need Your help waiting I am sure more than most people on this earth. So often I have to pray and ask You to help me see what You see to help me understand why I am waiting. Thank You Lord for knowing all about us. Thank You for the confidence we can have in You. You know my heart Lord. You know I have said often ….one thing I will never pray for is ‘patience.’ Now I stand before You reading this verse that says to me twice…’Wait patiently for the Lord.’ I know Your timing is perfect Lord….thank You for helping me wait. Thank You for helping me be patient in those times I have to wait. Thank You for teaching me patience which causes me to trust You and Your timing much more than my own. You know. You care. You love me unconditionally. Oh how blessed we are and I thank You.

As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Colossians 2:6, 7

Thank You Lord for Your help in growing closer to You each day. How wonderful it is to know that You are helping us change into Your image. As we walk with You our relationship becomes more and more rooted and grounded in You. Our faith grows and grows as we trust You and learn to stand upon Your promises. Oh how thankful we become every day as we see Your answers to prayers and our lives become filled with Your peace and joy. How blessed we truly are Lord and we thank You.

No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me, “ says the Lord. Isaiah 54:17

Thank You Lord for the comfort this verse bring to our hearts. This verse also reminds me of Your other promise, “Vengeance is MINE sayeth the Lord; I will repay.” AND You are only a prayer away giving us the privilege of called out to You. Thank You for Your help when we find ourselves in situations we would rather not be in. YOU see. YOU know. YOU intervene. Oh how blessed we are and we thank and praise You for once again showing us how much You love us.
