He (Jesus) said this to show by what death He was to die. John 12:33

Lord You told those that were with You so much and yet they still were very surprised over all that was happening.

They had seen You heal and many had seen You raise Lazarus for the dead and yet they were skeptical.

Thank You for continuing to show them why You were here.

Thank You Lord for never giving up on us.

Oh how blessed we are to be called Your children.

Thank You Lord.

Jesus answered, “This voice has come for your sakes not for mine. Now is the judgment of this world, now shall the ruler of this world be cast out; and I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself.” He said this to show by what death He was to die.
John 12:30 – 32

Thank You Lord for Your scripture that we can read and learn from.

Thank You that we are free to read and pray whenever we want to.

Thank You for always being there to listen and love.

Oh, Lord, how full of praise we are because of You and Your love.

Thank You Lord.

(Jesus continued) “Father, glorify Thy name.” Then a voice came from heaven, “I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again.” The crowd standing by heard it and said that it had thundered. Others said, “An angel has spoken to Him.” John 12:28, 29

Lord You have said in other scriptures that You and the Father are one. You have also ask us to come to You when we are weary and heavy laden.

The crowd was following You and watching all you did.

Thank You Lord for Your example of love.

Thank You for always doing the will of Your Father. Oh to be like You in all we do.

Thank You for Your help each day.

Thank You Lord.

(Jesus continued) “Now is My soul troubled. And what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? No, for this purpose I have come to this hour.” John 12:27

Thank You Lord for coming to earth to die for us.

Thank You for calling each of us to come follow You.

Thank You for always being there to comfort and guide.

I love You Lord.

Thank You! Thank You Lord.

(Jesus contrinued) “If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there shall My servant be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.” John 12:26

Thank You Lord for allowing us to serve You.

Thank You for the promise that the Father will honor us.

Thank You for open eyes that see the changes we need to make in our lives.

Thank You Lord.

(Jesus continued) “He who loves his life loses it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.” John 12:25

Lord this has always been an interesting verse for me. If I love my own life and choose to do what I want to do and live for myself I will lose my life. But….if I give my life over to You and let You guide and direct me…. I will keep my life for all eternity. Sounds easy Lord but it isn’t always. We read how John struggled and I am not nearly as strong as John was. And yet….You give me the power to follow Your will for my life.

Thank You Lord for always being with me to guide and direct in my life.

Thank You for Your help Lord.

I am so blessed.

Thank You Lord.

(Jesus continued) “He who loves his life loses it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.” John 12:25

Lord this sounds like a hard thing to live up to. To love our life is to lose it but if we hate our life in this world we will have eternal life. It is only by Your grace Lord that we can deny ourselves and take up our cross and follow You.

Thank You Lord for always being with us to help us as we cry out to You.

Thank You that we are not alone in our daily walk with You.

Thank You for Your comfort and Your joy.

Thank You Lord.

(Jesus continued) “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains along; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.” John 12:24

Lord my mind races when I think of all this verse means. It has such great meaning in my life. It has been a continual process in my growing closer to You from the age of 8 when I first turned my heart and life over to You. You have always been there to guide me and show me how to draw closer to You. How I thank and praise You for the gifts You have given me. You are my peace. You are my joy. Thank You Lord. Thank You!

Philip went and told Andrew; (that the Greeks wanted to see Jesus) Andrew went with Philip and they went to Jesus. And Jesus answered them, “The hour has come for the Son of man to be glorified.
John 12:22, 23

Lord what must Your disciples have thought. They were with You and witnessed much of what You had done. Now not only the Jewish people but the Greeks wanted to see You. This is why the authorities were so upset about You. You were gaining too much popularity.

Thank You Lord that in spite of all that was going on around You You remained focused.

Thank You that even though You knew what You were going to go through You were willing to give Your life for us.

Thank You for Your great love that has no boundaries.

Thank You Lord.

Now among those who went up to worship at the feast were some Greeks. So these came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and said to him, “Sir, we wish to see Jesus.” John 12:20, 21

Lord, now the Greeks wanted to see You. They had no doubt also heard about Lazarus.

Thank You Lord that all people are welcome to come to You and accept You as Lord of their lives.

Thank You for calling us all to come follow You.

Thank You for Your unconditional love that is there for our taking.

Oh how blessed we are because You came to earth for each one of us.

Thank You Lord.
