(Jesus continued) “I have manifested Thy name to the men whom Thou gavest Me out of the world; Thine they were, and Thou gavest them to Me, and they have kept Thy word.” John 17:6
Thank You Lord for calling us to come follow You.
Thank You for helping us keep Your word and obey You.
No greater gift could I ever have Lord than to be Your child.

Thank You that we can know You better and better each day.
The more we know You Lord the more we are changed into Your image.

When Jesus had spoken these words, He lifted up his eyes to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify Thy Son that the Son may glorify Thee, since Thou hast given Him power over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom Thou hast given Him.” John 17:1, 2
Thank You Lord for eternal life.
Thank You for the assurance that we will spend all eternity with You.

Lord, thank You for peace ….a peace that the world cannot give ….a peace that passes our own human understanding. A peace in the midst of the storms of life. Your peace. Perfect peace.

Thank You Lord that we are also children of the Father.
Thank You for giving us the ‘Comforter”… the Holy Spirit when You left this earth.
Thank You for always being with us.
We are never alone Lord and what a gift that is.

Jesus answered them, (disciples) “Do you now believe? John 16:31
Lord, You were opening the blinded eyes of Your disciples and giving them understanding. You had been telling them all along these things and yet they could not understand. Now they were beginning to see the total picture.
Thank You Lord for helping us understand.
Thank You for giving us the insight we need to believe.
Thank You for helping us to grow closer to You.
We believe….

His (Jesus) disciples said, “Ah, now You are speaking plainly, not in any figure! Now we know that You know all things and need none to question You; by this we believe that You came from God.”
John 16:29, 30
Lord, I can feel the excitement of the disciples as they understood. It was as if their blind eyes were opened and they understood. They knew the truth. They understood.
Thank You Lord for insight.
Thank You for opening our eyes and helping us understand.

Thank You Lord for coming to earth for us.
Thank You for going back to the Father to prepare a place for us to join You.
Thank You for the hope that You give to each of us.
We are Your children and some day will be with You for all eternity.

Faith! Faith that believes. Faith believe even when it doesn’t see.
Thank You Lord for Your gift of faith.
Thank You for planting within each of us the desire to know You.
Thank You for giving us ‘faith’ to believe and trust.
Oh how wonderful it is to know because we know because we know. We have ‘faith’ …. Your gift to us.
