Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and so with the fish. This was now the third time that Jesus was revealed to the disciples after He was raised from the dead. John 21:13, 14

Lord, in these verses we see the human compassionate side of You. You called to Your disciples and asked them if they wanted breakfast. Here we see You serving them bread and fish. You gave. You became a servant. You met their need of hunger.

Thank You Lord for being all of those things to us today and even more.

Thank You for asking us to come to You when we are hungry and tired because You will give us rest. Lord often that is not a physical hunger but a spiritual hunger. Oh how we thank You for always being there for us.

Thank YOU!

Thank You Lord.

Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast.” Now some of the disciples dared ask Him, “Who are You?” They knew it was the Lord. John 21:12

Thank You Lord for Your love for Your disciples.

You loved them Lord just as You love us today. They were fortunate to walk and talk with You in person. We are blessed that although not in person we can still walk and talk with You.

Thank You for asking us to bring our every request to You for You hear and understand.

Our lives are changed Lord because of You.

Thank You Lord.

When they got out on land, they saw a charcoal fire there, with fish lying on it, and bread. Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish that you have just caught.” So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, a hundred and fifty-three of them; and although there were so many, the net was not torn. John 21:9 -11

Lord, what must Your disciples have thought after fishing all night and not catching one fish and then when Simon Peter pulled up the net there were 153 fish in it. The net never broke. Certainly this was something that would not have happened. Something was totally different about this catch. You had changed everything.

Lord, thank You for the changes You make in our lives.

We are so often like the blind man that said, ‘Once I was blind and now I can see.’

Thank You Lord for the many times You give us insight. You open our blind eyes. You show us new truths. You give us wisdom.

Oh how blessed we are Lord when we ‘STOP’ and listen to You.

Thank You for always being there to hear and understand.

Thank You Lord.

That disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his clothes, for he was stripped for work, and sprang into the sea. But the other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish, for they were not far from the land, but about a hundred yards off. John 21:7, 8

Lord it was obvious that Peter wanted to be with you. Because of You his nets were full of fish. He had a thankful heart. After all he had been fishing all night and had not caught anything. You appeared and his nets were full.

Thank You Lord for always filling our nets with good gifts.

One of Your gift is Your unconditional love for us. Thank You for loving us.

You gave Your all for us Lord and we thank You.

Thank You Lord.

He (Jesus) said to them, (the disciples that were fishing) “Cast the net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul it in for the quantity of fish.
John 21:6

Lord it is amazing how our lives are changed when we listen to You.

These men had their lives changed because of You. Their nets were full

Thank You Lord that they listened to You and obeyed.

Lord …. It is when we listen to You and obey that our lives are changed. We become more and more like You.

Thank You! Thank You Lord.

Just as day was breaking, Jesus stood on the beach; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. Jesus said to them, “Children, have you any fish?” They answered Him, “No.” John 21:4, 5

Thank You Lord for calling us Your children and given us the status of being Your children.

Thank You for allowing us to look to You as Our Father.

I realize Lord it is hard for some to have a good concept of You because they did not have wonderful fathers. For us that did Lord it is much easier to understand how much You love us.

Thank You for Your unconditional love.

Oh how bless we are Lord. Thank You for all our gifts and especially our gift of peace.

Thank You Lord.

Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.” They said to him, “We will go with you.” They went out and got into the boat; but that night they caught nothing. John 21:3

Lord, there are times in life when nothing seems to work for us. Simon Peter was a fisherman but he didn’t catch a fish.

They had just seen You for the first time and left You to go fishing.

Thank You Lord for being with us in the highs and lows of life.

Thank You for never leaving us ….. You are always there.

Through our joys and through our struggles we are blessed to have You by our side.

Thank You! Thank You Lord.

After this, Jesus revealed Himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias; and He revealed Himself in this way. Simon Peter, Thomas called the Twin, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of His disciples were together. John 21:1, 2

Lord how excited Your disciples must have been to be with You again.

Thank You for John’s account of Your life after Your death.

Thank You for revealing Yourself to Your disciples.

Thank You for leaving no doubt in our minds or the disciples minds that You were dead and now You were alive.

Thank You! Thank You Lord.

Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name. John 20:30

Lord we believe. Thank You for our lives.

Thank You that we will live forever and ever with you.

Thank You for our joy and peace.

Thank You for John’s desire to allow all of us to know You and believe in You.

Thank You Lord.

Jesus said to him, (Thomas) “Have you believed because you have seen Me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.” John 20:29

Lord, it helped Thomas believe because he saw You and knew it was You. Again Lord we are talking about Your life and Your death and burial. Once You were dead and now You were alive. Thomas needed to see You and know it was truly You. Seeing You changed his life.

There are people that can hear and believe and those that hear but have to see to believe.

Thank You Lord for faith to believe when we can’t see and it doesn’t seem logical.

Thank You that our faith grows as we trust more and more.

We have Your help Lord and we thank You.

Thank YOU Lord.
