(Jesus continued) “Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11:29
Thank You for Your rest Lord.
The more I can trust You the more I find rest for my soul.
Thank You for never changing Lord and always being there waiting for me to come to You.
Your gifts are mine for the taking.
Thank You Lord.

(Jesus continued) “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
Thank You Lord for this wonderful invitation.
Thank You for not only allowing us to come to You but for asking us to come.
Thank You for the rest that You give us even in the midst of the storm.
Oh how we need Your rest Lord and thank You for it.
Thank You Lord.

(Jesus continued) “All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father, except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him.” Matthew 11:28
Thank You Lord for calling me to ‘come follow You.’
Thank You for Your unconditional love.
Oh how blessed we are to be called Your children.
Thank You! Thank You Lord.

At that time Jesus declared, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that Thou has hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to babies, yea, Father, for such was Thy gracious will. Matthew 11:25, 26
Thank You Lord for allowing us to know You.
Thank You for being our Lord.
Thank You for the written words to give us so much more than what anyone had while you were on this earth.
Oh how fortunate we are …. Thank You.
Thank You Lord.

(Jesus continued) “And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? You shall be brought down to Hades. For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. But I tell you that it shall be more tolerable on the day of judgment for the land of Sodom than for you.” Matthew 11:23, 24
Lord, how sad it was that Capernaum was so far from You. There was a lot going on with them. They needed to listen to You but they had closed ears.
Thank You Lord for wanting us to come to You.
Thank You for loving us and working with us to change us into Your likeness.
Oh how confident we can be when we keep our eyes upon You.
Thank You! Thank You Lord.

(Jesus speaks) “ Woe to you, Chorazin! woe to you, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. But I tell you, it shall be more tolerable on the day of judgment for Tyre and Sidon than for you.” Matthew 11:20, 21
Lord – You came to earth. You performed many miracles. Many were seen by these people that are doing all the complaining. They didn’t want to accept who you were and why You came to earth.
Oh how grateful we are to know the whole truth. You truly are the Son of God. Thank You!
Thank You Lord.

Then He began to upbraid the cities where most of His mighty works had been done, because they did not repent. Matthew 11:20
Thank You Lord for Your patience with us.
Thank You for Your patience with those that were ignoring You when You walked this earth.
Thank You for loving us so unconditionally. Oh how blessed we are Lord. Thank You.
Thank You Lord.

(Jesus continued) “For John came neither eating nor drinking and they say, ‘He has a demon; the Son of man came eating and drinking and they say, ‘Behold, a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ Yet wisdom is justified by her deeds.” Matthew 11:18, 19
Lord this verse shows us that people today and people in Your time were the same. Seems both generations found things wrong with others.
Oh Lord how precious is Your unconditional love. Verses like this help me realize more and more how much You love us. How unconditional that love truly is. I love the saying ‘You love us just as we are but too much to leave us as we are.’ You want us to be our best. Oh how we need that and oh how we thank You.
Thank You Lord.

(Jesus continued) “But to what shall I compare this generations? It is like children sitting in the market places and calling to their playmates. We piped to you and you did not dance; we wailed, and you did not mourn.” Matthew 11:16, 17
Lord this sure wasn’t a pretty picture of the people of that day. What would our picture be like today. Probably even worse than their picture was. Are we truly listening to You when You speak to us? Do we hear Your gentle voice?
Thank You Lord for never tiring of calling us to draw closer to You.
Oh how we treasure those moments when we hear Your voice.
Thank You for the joy that only You can bring. Thank You.
Thank You Lord.

(Jesus continued) “For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John; and if you are willing to accept it, he is Elijah who is to come.” Matthew 11:13, 14
Lord, John was such a special person. He always pointed people to You. He had a following but they were not for himself they were to bring others to You.
Oh to be like John Lord. Oh how wonderful it would be to have his zeal and commitment.
But today we can thank You Lord because we are who we are. Thank You for giving each of us our calling. Thank You for the uniqueness we each have. Thank You for our zeal for You. Thank You for loving us just as we are but too much to leave us as we are. Thank You for changing us into Your likeness.
We have much to thank and praise You for Lord.
Thank You Lord.
