And whenever the unclean spirits beheld Him, (Jesus) they fell down before Him and cried out, “You are the Son of God.” And He strictly ordered them not to make Him known. Mark 3:11, 12
Lord it is very interesting to read that the unclean spirits knew who You were. They wanted to cry out and You ordered them not to. Thank You for knowing these unclean spirits Lord and ordering them to be quiet.
I’m so glad I know You Lord. I also glad that today I can share my love for You with others.
Thank You for Your unconditional love.
Thank You Lord. Thank You.

And He (Jesus) told His disciples to have a boat ready for Him because of the crowd, lest they should crush Him; for He had healed many, so that all who had diseases pressed upon Him to touch Him. Mark 3:9, 10
Thank You Lord for the human touch. There is something that makes us feel alive when we have the touch of another human. They have found that fact true with babies in the incubators. They did much better when they had the touch of another human.
Lord over and over I marvel at how we were made. We are each unique and yet alike in many ways. We all need You and long for You. Those of us that have turned our lives over to You know how blessed we truly are and we thank You. We are oh so fortunate.
Thank You Lord. Thank You……

Jesus withdrew with His disciples to the sea, and a great multitude from Galilee followed; also from Judea and Jerusalem and Idumea and from beyond the Jordan and from about Tyre and Sidon a great multitude, hearing all that He did, came to Him. Mark 3:7, 8
Lord no matter where You went there was always a crowd that followed as Your popularity grew. Now people were coming from all around the area. Everyone wanted to see for themselves what was happening. AND ….many needed Your healing touch.
Thank You Lord for Your healing touch today. You are still the great physician. Oh yes, I thank You that You use our medical professionals today to help that healing process. BUT without Your healing touch we are not healed. Our lives are Yours Lord and You are totally in control. Each moment of our lives is precious and I thank You for them.
We praise You and thank You Lord for the gift of life.
Thank You Lord. Thank You.

And He (Jesus) said to the man who had the withered hand, “Come here.” And He said to them, (Pharisees) “Is it lawful on the sabbath to do good or to do harm, to save life or to kill?” But they were silent. And He looked around at them with anger, grieved at their hardness of heart, and said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was restored. The Pharisees went out, and immediately held counsel with the Herodians against Him, how to destroy Him. Mark 3:3 – 6
Lord You healed the man and now the Pharisees were after You because it was on the sabbath. You had broken their rules and committed a sin and given them enough evidence to arrest You. This made them very happy. They had been looking for a reason to arrest You.
Thank You Lord for being our Lord. Thank You for coming to earth for us. We love You Lord and we want to become more and more like You. Thank You for never leaving us but always working with us to help us become more and more like You.
Oh how we thank You.
Thank You Lord.

Again He (Jesus) entered the synagogue, and a man was there who had a withered hand. And they (Pharisees) watched Him, to see whether He would heal him on the sabbath, so that they might accuse Him. Mark 3:1, 2
Lord sometimes I have to stop myself from being judgmental and annoyed when I read verses like this. I have to remind myself that often people don’t know the difference from right and wrong and are following their own convictions until You show them the difference. The Pharisees were doing what they thought was the right thing and was what God would want them to do. There eyes had not been opened yet to the spiritual truths that You were trying to teach them.
Thank You Lord for giving us love and compassion for the unlovely. Apart from You working in my life I can become angry and annoyed with people like these Pharisees. Thank You for Your unconditional love that calls me on to be more and more like You. Oh how I thank You.
Thank You Lord.

And the Pharisees said to Him, (Jesus) “Look, why are they doing what is not lawful (plucking ears of grain) on the sabbath? And He said to them, “Have you never read what David did, when he was in need and was hungry, he and those who were with him; how he entered the house of God, when Abiathar was high priest to eat and also gave it to those who were with him?” And he said to them, “The sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath; so the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath.” Mark 1:24 – 28
Lord once again You were showing the Pharisees why You were here. The were fanatical about rules and regulations. They missed the whole idea of what the sabbath was all about. They were so careful not to break any rules that they totally forgot the sabbath was to worship and praise You. Rules are good and serve a wonderful purpose but the bondage these Pharisees were in was not good.
Thank You Lord for our freedom today to praise and worship You ALL the time. I’m very grateful You are always there to hear and answer me. Oh how I thank You.
Thank You Lord. Thank You.

One sabbath He (Jesus) was going through the grain fields; and as they made their way His disciples began to pluck ears of grain. Mark 1:23
Lord life is so interesting the way it changes. Back at this time doing anything on the sabbath was not allowed. It was carried to extremes as so many things often are yet today. It didn’t matter if you were hungry like these disciples it was still a no – no and wrong in their culture.
Thank You Lord for coming to earth to help us see what is truly important.
Thank You for helping us see the way to truly worship You.
I am so glad You are our Lord and Savior. How I thank and praise You for being in my life and all You are doing and have done for me.
Thank You Lord.

(Jesus continued) “No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; if he does, the patch tears away from it, the new from the old, and a worse tear is made. And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; if he does, the wine will burst the skins, and the wine is lost, and so are the skins; but new wine is for fresh skins.” Mark 1: 21, 22
Lord You continued talking about why the other disciples were fasting and Your disciples weren’t. You gave an illustration and used wine to tell Your story. I don’t know anything about making wine but I do know that You came to help us see the life we could have in serving You.
You are our Lord and our Savior and we thank and praise You.
Thank You. Thank You Lord.

(Jesus continued telling why His disciples didn’t fast.) “The day will come, when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast in that day.” Mark 2:20
Thank You Lord for going to heaven to prepare a place for us. That is what You were telling those in this verse.
How grateful we are that we know that heaven is our home with You there waiting for us.
We are bless!
Thank You! Thank You Lord.

Now John’s disciple and the Pharisees were fasting; and people came and said to Him, (Jesus) “Why do John’s disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but Your disciples do not fast?” And Jesus said to them, “Can the wedding guests fast while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.” Mark 2:18, 19
Lord You always had a reason and an answer. There were always questions because You were not doing what the Pharisees thought You should be doing.
It takes faith to follow You Lord. We have to trust that You know and see what we cannot see. Faith tells us You are always with us. Faith feels that love and contentment. Oh how we praise and thank You for it Lord. We are so blessed and we know it.
Thank You Lord.
