And those who had seen it told what had happened to the demoniac and to the swine. And they (people that came to see what was going on) began to beg Jesus to depart from their neighborhood. Mark 5:16, 17
Lord these that came to see were full of fear. Now they were begging You to leave. I can’t help but wonder what You thought about them. You could see their reason and You knew what they were thinking. You had done an awesome thing and yet they were begging You to leave.
Thank You Lord that even though there were those that rejected You You never gave up.
Thank You Lord for not giving up on us either.
Oh how we need Your gentle Spirit working in our lives Lord and we thank You for it.
Thank You Lord. Thank You.

And they (people) came to Jesus, and saw the demoniac sitting there, clothed and in right mind, the man who had had the legion; and they were afraid. Mark 5:15
Lord, what an interesting reaction from the people that had come to see what had happened. They were afraid. I would have thought they would be excited to see this man whole and know what You had done. Their reaction is very different. They were afraid.
What were they afraid of ….. I can only wonder because we are not told….afraid of the financial loss because the farmer had lost 2,000 swine. Could that happen to them too ….. Afraid that someone they had once shunned would now be as well as they were and what would he do to them for the way they had treated him. Afraid of the power that You had Lord. There could be any number of answers but I see a man that was in torment healed. Thank You for that healing Lord.
Thank You for Your healing power today Lord. Oh how we need You. Oh how we thank You because You ARE here.
Thank You Lord. Thank You.

The herdsmen fled, and told it (the 2,000 swine drown) to the city and in the country. And people came to see what it was that had happened. Mark 5:14
Lord I can imagine how quickly this word spread once the herdsmen went into the city. We as people are naturally curious and this was a specular event.
The beautify of this story Lord is that the man that had these spirits was now free. Free from the bondage that had trapped him in his own body.
Thank You Lord for Your freedom. Thank You for giving us Your peace and joy.
Thank You Lord. Thank You.

(The story of the man with the unclean spirit) So He (Jesus) gave them (unclean spirits) leave. And the unclean spirits came out, and entered the swine; and the herd, numbering about two thousand, rushed down the steep bank into the sea, and were drowned in the sea. Mark 5:13
Lord once again I cannot image what it would have been like to have been with You that day. Everyone there must have been in awe. Two thousand swine is a lot of swine. This was an amazing event. This farmer had lost these swine and I can’t help but wonder about his life and how that event changed his life too.
Lord we see over and over events that happened that cause us to trust You more and more. They also cause us to thank You more and more. You are awesome Lord and we thank You for Your power.
Thank You Lord. Thank you….

And Jesus asked him, (man with the unclean spirit) “What is your name? He replied, “My name is Legion; for we are many.” Mark 5:9
Lord what a difficult time this man had. He was in torment from the many spirits that were within him.
Thank You Lord for the many healings You performed when You were on this earth.
The spirits in this man knew who You were. They were afraid You would destroy them.
Thank You Lord that You are over all things. You are in control. Oh how we thank You.
Thank You Lord.

Night and day among the tombs and on the mountains he (man with an unclean spirit) was always crying out, and bruising himself with stones. And when he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him; and crying out with a loud voice, he said, “What have You to do with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I adjure You by God, do not torment me.” For He had said to him, “Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!” Mark 5:5 – 8
Lord what must it have been like to have been there and experienced this. Mark is giving us an account of what happened that day. This man was in torment. He needed Your healing touch.
Thank You for always allowing us to come to You.
Thank You that You are only a prayer away. Oh how we need You. Oh how we want You. Thank You for Your peace and joy in the midst of the storms.
Thank You Lord. Thank You.

They came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gerasenes. And when He (Jesus) had come out of the boat, there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit who lived among the tombs; and no one could bind him any more, even with a chain for he had often been bound with fetters and chains but the chains he wrenched apart, and the fetters he broke in pieces; and no one had the strength to subdue him. Mark 5:1 -4
Thank You Lord for your compassion. Lord this man was coming to You because YOU were and still are full of compassion. Oh how we praise You
Thank You Lord.

He (Jesus) said to them, (disciples) “Why are you afraid? Have you no faith?” And they were filled with awe, and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even wind and the sea obey Him?” Mark 4:40, 41
Lord these disciples had been with You quite a while and still You continued to amaze them.
Those of us that walk with You today continue to be amazed too. We are so fortunate to be able to walk and talk with You Lord. Oh how we thank You.
Thank You Lord.

And He (Jesus) awoke and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace be still! And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. Mark 4:39
Lord I know everyone was surprised because even the wind obeyed You. You spoke and it happened.
Thank You Lord for the peace that only You can give.
The storm was raging but You spoke and there was peace.
Oh how we need Your peace Lord and thank You for it.
Thank You Lord. Thank You….
