Thought For Today

And He (Jesus) looked around to see who had done it. (Touched Him) But the woman, (that touched Jesus) knowing what had been done to her, came in fear and trembling and fell down before Him, and told Him the whole truth. Mark 5:33

Lord this is a beautiful story. A story of healing and one of facing your fear and doing the right thing.

Again Lord I have to thank You for giving us faith that believes for the impossible and courage to move beyond our fears and do the right thing.

This woman needed to make herself known to You and the crowd and she did that with fear and trembling. Her life was changed. She was grateful.

Our lives have been changed because of You Lord and we too are very, very grateful.

Lord we know You knew who it was that touched You. You wanted the woman to make herself know. She knew she was healed…will she came forth and let everyone know?

Thank You Lord for helping us trust and obey You.

Thank You for faith to believe.

Oh how thankful we are Lord for Your many, many gifts to us when we believe and trust You.

Thank You. Thank You Lord.

And Jesus, perceiving in Himself that power had gone forth from Him, (because the woman with the issue of blood had touched Him) immediately turned about in the crowd, and said, “Who touched my garments?” And His disciples said to Him, “You see the crowd pressing around You, and yet You say, “Who touched me?” Mark 5:30, 31

Lord I can certainly understand why Your disciples would question You when You said, “Who touched me?” The crowds were pressing all around You. They wanted to be as close as they could be to see what was going to happen. There were exciting things that happened and that is what drew the crowds.

And yet You knew someone with faith had touched You and was healed.

Thank You for Your healing touch. And even better is the fact that You ASK us to bring our requests to You. What a privilege it is and we thank You.

And immediately the hemorrhage ceased; and she (woman who had blood flow for 12 years) felt in her body that she was healed of her disease. Mark 5:29

Thank You Lord for Your healing touch.

Thank You Lord for faith that believes. This woman reached out and touched You. She believed You could heal her if she could but touch You.

Thank You for faith to believe for the impossible just like this woman believed.

Thank You for always being with us to hear us any time we want to talk with You. What a gift!

And there was a woman who had had a flow of blood for twelve years, and who had suffered much under many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better but rather grew worse. She had heard the reports about Jesus, and came up behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, “If I touch even His garment I shall be made well.” Mark 5:25 – 28

Once again Lord we see faith in action. This woman knew if she touched Your garment she would be changed…..she would be healed.

Lord it is awesome the faith this woman and Jairus had. You were their only hope. All hope had vanished for this woman. She had gone from doctor to doctor and received no help.

Thank You for Your healing touch Lord. Oh how we need You and thank You for being here.

And He (Jesus) went with him. (Jairus whose daughter was dying.) And a great crowd followed Him and thronged about Him. Mark 5:24

Lord how excited these people must have been that were following You. They wanted to see what would happen. They had no doubt seen or heard about the miracles You performed and now had hopes of seeing another.

Jairus had no doubts….he knew his daughter would be healed if he could only get to You.

What an exciting day for all that was there. You were going to Jairus home because You cared.

Thank You for caring about us today too Lord. We are oh so blessed and we thank You.

Then came one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and seeing Him, (Jesus) he fell at His feet, and besought Him, saying, “My little daughter is at the point of death. Come and lay Your hands on her, so that she may be made well, and live.” Mark 5:22, 23

Lord, even today we are very thankful for those that pray for us. This man was desperate. His daughter was dying. He knew You could heal her so he asked You to come.

Thank You Lord for faith that believes. Jairus believed. What a beautiful example of faith.

Miracle after miracle our faith is increased Lord. Thank You for faith to believe. What a gift!

And when Jesus had crossed again in the boat to the other side, a great crowd gathered about Him; and He was beside the sea. Mark 5:21

Lord You life is so interesting to read about. You were just on the other side of the sea and when You healed the demoniac man the crowd chased You away. You go to the other side of the sea and a great crowd is gathered to see You.

That is so much like life today. I am thinking of Billy Graham and his love for You. There were great crowds that gathered to hear what He had to say about You. And there were thousands that are still faithful to You today because of the message he shared that gave them a new way of life. They turned their will and their lives over to You Lord. Their lives were changed.

Thank You for standing with open arms waiting for all to come to You. Oh how grateful we are for Your call.

And he (man with the demoniac spirits) went away and began to proclaim in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him; and all men marveled. Mark 5:20

Lord I can only imagine what it would have been like to have been this man that had been touched by You. He must have been so excited to go and tell everyone what had happened. It was truly amazing and something to shout about.

Thank You that You are always with us to comfort and cheer. We love You Lord and we thank and praise You.

And as He (Jesus) was getting into the boat, the man who had been possessed with demons begged Him that he might be with Him. But He refused, and said to him, “Go home to your friends, and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how He has had mercy on you.” Mark 5:18, 19

Lord you were leaving in the boat because the people that had come from the towns were afraid and asked You to leave.

Now the man that was demoniac and had a miracle happen to him wanted to go along with You. I would have been like him too Lord and wanted to be with You after such an amazing healing. His whole life was changed in an instant.

Thank You Lord for the changes You make in our lives. You change us moment by moment as we look to You. Oh how I thank You.
