(The people said) “Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon, and are not His sisters here with us?” And they took offense at Him. Mark 6:3
Lord it is so easy to judge. These men were judging You. After all – they said – isn’t He just the carpenter’s son. They were more or less saying –isn’t He a no body.
Thank You Lord that we know that You were so much more than just the Son of the carpenter. You were the Son of God. Oh how we thank You. Oh how we praise You.
Thank You Lord. Thank You.

And on the sabbath He (Jesus) began to teach in the synagogue; and many who heard Him were astonished, saying, “Where did this man get all this? What is the wisdom given to Him? What mighty works are wrought by His hands!” Mark 6:2
Thank You Lord for the Bible. Thank You that we can read all about You and learn what happened while You were on this earth. Thank You for the wisdom You give us as we learn about You.
Our lives are changed because of what we learn and we thank You.
Thank You Lord.

He (Jesus) went away from there (where He raised the dead girl) and came to His own country; and His disciples followed Him. Mark 6:1
Lord what an exciting time for Your disciples. They followed You. I would image they were talking among themselves about how this 12 year old girl was dead and You brought her back to life. What a miracle.
Lord I too have experienced and seen Your miracles even though I am here on this earth today. So many times I have seen and experienced things that only You could bring about. You are just as ‘alive and well’ as You were when You walked on this earth. You ask us to come to You. What an invitation. What a gift. Oh how we thank You!
Thank You Lord.

Taking her (the girl that was dead) He said to her, “Talitha cumi”; which means “Little girl, I say to you, arise.” And immediately the girl got up and walked; for she was twelve years old. And immediately they were overcome with amazement. And He strictly charged them that no one should know this, and told them to give her something to eat. Mark 5:40 – 43
Lord You continued to heal the sick and now You had raised a twelve year old girl from the dead.
Of course everyone that was there was amazed. They had never seen anything like this before.
It was an amazing event. Everyone was excited. And rightly so….they should have been.
Thank You Lord for Your healing touch. You are awesome! Oh how we thank You.
Thank You Lord.

(Jesus had said – ‘The child is not dead but sleeping.’) And they (people morning the death of the child) laughed at Him. (Jesus) But He put them all outside, and took the child’s father and mother and those who were with Him, and went in where the child was. Mark 5:40
Lord there will always be those that are antagonistic. They were there when You walked on this earth and they are still here today. They don’t want to believe and they will not believe. They laugh and scoff at those that do believe.
Thank You Lord that we believe. Thank You for the joy of our salvation. We are truly blessed because we put our faith in You. We love You Lord and thank You for Your peace.
Thank You. Thank You Lord.

When they (Jesus, Peter, James and John) came to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, He saw a tumult, and people weeping and wailing loudly. And when He had entered He said to them, “Why do you make a tumult and weep? The child is not dead but sleeping?” Mark 5:38, 39
Lord we see the scene. We know the story. They knew this girl was dead already and their hearts were obviously broken. They were crying and distraught. We would be no different today.
Thank You Lord that You went where the need was. This family needed Your healing touch and You went to meet it.
Thank You for meeting each of our needs Lord. Oh it isn’t often the way WE want our requests answered but You know what is best. You see us through even when we doubt we can make it. Thank You for being with us.
Thank You Lord.

And He (Jesus) allowed no one to follow Him (to the house of the dead girl) except Peter and James and John the brother of James. Mark 5:37
Lord the crowds were always pressing in on You. This time You wanted to be alone. You only took Your three disciples.
Thank You Lord for giving us time and allowing us to manage it.
Thank You for guiding and directing us.
It is such a wonderful gift to be able pray. Prayer truly changes things. It changes us from the inside out. Thank You.
Thank You Lord.

But ignoring what they said, (the daughter was dead) Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not fear, only believe.” Mark 5:36
Lord if we could only grasp hold of Your statement and cling to it. “Do not fear, only believe.” Thank You for those meaningful words. Help us to grasp hold of You so strongly that we live by this verse. It is powerful Lord. It is life changing.
Thank You for the confidence You give each of us as we trust You. Oh how we thank You.
Thank You Lord.

While He (Jesus) was still speaking, there came from the ruler’s house some who said, “Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?” Mark 5:35
Lord there are often those that would say, ‘The diagnosis is already here why even ask You for a healing.’
BUT I thank You Lord for Your request that we bring ALL our burdens to You.
Thank You for hearing us ALL the time.
Thank You that You are ALWAYS there to hear us and comfort us.
Thank You! Thank You Lord.

And He (Jesus) said to her, (woman with the issue of blood) “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.” Mark 5:34
Lord what a miracle. This woman had been from doctor to doctor over the 12 years she was bleeding and no one could help her. Her faith told her that if she would but touch You she would be healed. It was true. She was healed. Now she was talking with You and You tell her to “go in peace and be healed.”
Thank You Lord for Your healing touch. Thank You for hearing us when we cry out to You. Thank You for the invitation to come to You. We are blessed Lord and we thank You.
Thank You Lord.
