And while they (Mary and Joseph) were there, (Bethlehem) the time came for her to be delivered. And she gave birth to her first-born Son and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn. Luke 2:6, 7
Oh Lord how our hearts rejoice and celebrate Your coming. Thank You! We have it all because we have You. We love You Lord and we thank You.
Thank You Lord. Thank You.
Have a wonderful Christmas. My love and prayers are with you. ENJOY the gift of our Lord’s birth. We are so, so blessed. Let’s thank and praise Him for all His gifts and the joy we have in knowing Him. God bless YOU!

And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus. Luke 1:30, 31
Lord how we thank You for the Bible and these words that give us the story of Your life. I ponder these verses and what Mary must have felt like. I think of all she must have gone through and all those that didn’t believe her. There are those that don’t believe this story today but we know how our spirits are quickened today when we think back to Your birth. Oh how we celebrate Your coming. Oh how we thank You that You came to redeem us. We are Your children and we thank You and celebrate Your birth.
Thank You….. Thank You Lord.

And they (Jesus disciples) were on the road, going up to Jerusalem and Jesus was walking ahead of them; and they were amazed and those who followed were afraid. And taking the twelve again He began to tell them what was to happen to Him, saying, “Behold we are going up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man will be delivered to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn Him to death, and deliver Him to the Gentiles; and they will also mock Him and spit upon Him and scourge Him; and after three days He will arise.” Mark 10:32 – 34.
Lord this is our Easter story. Today we thank You for coming to earth for us. We celebrate Your humble birth. These disciples were walking and talking with You not knowing what we know today. They were there trusting You just as we are here trusting You with our lives today. Oh how we need You. Oh how we thank You.
Thank You Lord. Thank You.

(Jesus continued talking with His disciples about who could enter the kingdom of heaven.) “But many that are first will be last, and the last first.” Mark 10:31
Lord we have heard this before in the other gospels and the more I have thought about it the more my thoughts have changed. At first it was very upsetting to me. It seemed so unfair. Why would that be – that just wasn’t right. And then Lord Your insight hit me……what difference did it make whether I was first or I was last I was still going to spend all of eternity with You. That was Your gift to me because I had accepted You as my Lord and my Savior. I was the blessed one to even get into heaven be first or last what did it matter.
Thank You Lord for opening our eyes of understand when we least expect and totally changing our outlooks and thoughts. Lord as I continue to walk with You and listen You change me. I am so grateful Lord and thank You for new insights. What an awesome gift! Thank You.
Thank You Lord.

Peter began to say to Him, (Jesus) “Lo we have left everything and followed You.” Jesus said, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for My sake and for the gospel, who will not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and in the age to come eternal life.” Mark 10:28 – 30
Lord, Peter didn’t need to remind You of the price he paid when he left all and followed You. All Your disciples left all and followed You.
Thank You for still calling us today. The good news is that when You call us we know that You will be with us to help us. We need You Lord and we want You.
Thank You. Thank You Lord.

(Jesus disciples asked who could be saved.) Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.” Mark 10:27
Thank You Lord for teaching us that all things are possible with You. It is by Your power that we breathe. We are Your children and You love us unconditionally.
Oh how we thank You. Oh how we praise You. Oh how we love You.
Thank You.
Thank You Lord.

And they (Jesus disciples) were exceedingly astonished and said to Him, (Jesus) “Then who can be saved?” Mark 10:26
Lord You keep saying how hard it was for the rich to enter the kingdom of God. The disciples wondered who could be saved.
Oh how we thank and praise You that we are saved. Saved to live with You for all eternity. We are so, so blessed and we thank You.
Thank You Lord. Thank You….

And the disciples were amazed at His (Jesus) words but Jesus said to them again, “Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” Mark 10:24, 25
Lord we are so fortunate to be Your children. It was our choice to choose You. We had our own free will. Thank You for waiting with open arms to accept us just as we are. We love You Lord and we thank You.
Thank You Lord.

And Jesus looked around (the crowd) and said to His disciples, “How hard it will be for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!” Mark 10:23
Oh Lord how well I understand this today. It is so easy to become ‘self-sufficient’ and therefore think we are in control. This verse is just as meaningful today as it was the day You spoke those words.
Thank You for Your reminder Lord. How often our lives have to change in a drastic way to help us realize You are our maker and You are in total control. Oh how we thank You Lord that You are ALWAYS there for us. We can stay close to You each day of our lives …..it is truly our choice and I thank You.
Thank You Lord.

(After Jesus told the man to sell all and follow Him.) At that (sell all and follow Me) his countenance fell and he went away sorrowful; for he had great possessions. Mark 10:22
Lord I can’t help but wonder how happy this man was the rest of his life knowing that he had given up the greatest gift . We all need money to survive. There is a sense of security when we have it. This man had a lot and he didn’t want to give it up even if it meant he could have eternal life. He wanted to keep what he had rather than give it up and follow You.
Understandable Lord. He knew what he had with the great possessions. He didn’t know what he would have had giving it all away and following You. He felt that price was way to high to take a chance so ‘he went away sorrowful.’
Lord You give us the same choice today. Your arms are outstretched and You ask us to come. It’s often not an easy road but You give us Your peace and Your joy and Your unconditional love. They are gifts money cannot buy. Oh how we praise and thank You for all we have and all that is waiting for us in eternity.
Thank You. Thank You Lord.
