Thought For Today

So you will find favor and good repute in the sight of God and man. Proverbs 3:4

Lord here is another one of those promises we talked about yesterday.

Solomon was writing to the young men. He wanted to be sure they realized what would happen in their lives when they followed You. There were great rewards …..heavenly rewards. Rewards to be treasured.

This is ours too Lord. No matter what our age is we can have it all starting this very moment. Thank You for waiting patiently for us to ‘come to You’.

Thank You. Thank You Lord.

My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments; for length of days and years of life and abundance of welfare will be given you. Proverbs 3:1 – 3

So you will walk in the way of good men and keep to the paths of the righteous. For the upright will inhabit the land, and men of integrity will remain in it; but the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the treacherous will be rooted out of it. Proverbs 2:20-22

Lord, Solomon continues to talk with the young men to show them the way to live life. He tells all of us the outcome when we stay close to You.

It’s a wonderful thing to know You Lord from our youth and have our whole lives to listen to You. Thank You Lord for always being there when we call out to You.

Our lives are changed because of You Lord and we thank You.

(Solomon continues to write to the young men telling them about following the Lord and the wisdom He gives.) “You will be saved from the loose woman, from the adventuress with her smooth words, who forsakes the companion of her youth and forgets the covenant of her God; for her house sinks down to death, and her paths to the shades; none who go to her come back nor do they regain the paths of life.” Proverbs 2:16 – 19

Lord it is so wonder what walking and talking with You can do for us.

Solomon certainly lets all of us know what we can be spared from.

Thank You Lord for Your wisdom that helps us make the RIGHT decisions.

Thank You for the opportunity that is ours to stay close to You. It is OUR choice and we thank You.

Proverbs 2:9 – 15

Lord once again we hear all that You will provide for those that seek You.

We have it all Lord when we keep our eyes fixed on You.

Oh how we thank and praise You.

For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk in integrity, guarding the paths of justice and preserving the way of His saints. Proverbs 2:6 -8

Lord and all of this is ours that love You and trust in You.

We love You Lord and thank You for each gift You are giving us.

I love Your wisdom Lord. I love Your shield over me. I love it that You guard my paths. I live knowing You are preserving my way.

My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; yes, if you cry out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasure; then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. Proverbs 2:1 – 5

Lord I love what Solomon has to say to us. He give us the tools to find Your wisdom and understanding. It’s up to us to seek You and when we seek we will discover. It’s up to us Lord…..how well do we want to know You.

The more we seek You the more we learn about You and yes the more wisdom and knowledge we have about You. That wisdom and knowledge is what takes us through life in a close relationship with You.

Thank You Lord that it is ours for the taking. You are feely giving it to us and we thank You.

Thank You Lord. What a wonderful gift.

Lord what a gift it is to sit at Your feet and listen.

Thank You Lord for our relationship with You.

Thank You that we can come to You because You ARE our Lord an our Savior.

Thank You that we can walk and talk with You.

We are Yours and You are ours and OH how we thank You.

Give heed to my reproof; behold, I will pour out my thoughts to you; I will make my words known to you. Because I have called and you refused to listen, have stretched out my hand and no one has heeded, and you have ignored all my counsel and would have none of my reproof, I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when panic strikes you, when panic strikes you like a storm and your calamity comes like a whirlwind, when distress and anguish come upon you. Then they will call upon me, but I will not answer; they will seek me diligently but will not find me. Proverbs 1:23 – 28

Lord You love us. You call us to come follow You and become more and more like You. And oh how we do cry out to You and seek Your face when difficult times come.

Thank You that we don’t have to wait for calamity to strike. You have given us the invitation to come to You just as we are any time of the day or night.

Thank You for always being there for us. We love You Lord.
