Toward the scorners He (Lord) is scornful but to the humble He shows favor. Proverbs 3:34
Lord humility causes us to see and understand how much You love us unconditionally. I always think of the verse ‘pride goeth before a fall’ when I think of humility.
How true it is Lord. Everything we are and ever will be is a gift from You. Thank You for those gifts and the gift in knowing that as I look to You and trust in You I will be changed more and more into Your likeness.
Thank You Lord for our relationship with You. You are always there for us and we thank You.

The Lord’s curse is on the house of the wicked but He blesses the abode of the righteous. Proverbs 3:33
Thank You for Your blessings Lord for those of us that abide in You.
Life for us may look the same on the outside as those that do not love and worship You but there is a big difference. Knowing You and loving You gives us the assurance of eternal life with You forever and ever. There is a peace within that passes all understanding and we praise and thank You for Your presence in our lives. Yes we are truly blessed by You and we thank You.

Lord I would call this ‘picking a fight.’ There have been horrible tragedies because this verse was ignored.

Do not plan evil against your neighbor who dwells trustingly beside you. Proverbs 3:29
Lord this is an interesting verse. Who of us would not want to be kind and loving so why would this warning be given by Solomon. After all this was a neighbor who trusted us.
As I think on it Lord what comes to my mind are the changes You make in our lives when we come to You.
There are those that were full of anger and rage until You touched their lives and changed them. Were they perfect immediately – NO certainly not. Am I perfect today having walked with You all these years – I could only wish I was and strive to be today.
So this verse is to help us see and understand what You want to change in our lives.
Thank You Lord for taking these thing out of our lives one by one and changing us into Your likeness.
We know it will happen as we keep looking to You and trusting You and we thank You for it.

Lord what do we say. Human nature? Self-centered? We can call it whatever we want but the bottom line is we are not listening to You.
You are telling this young son to use his wisdom…..his God given wisdom just as you are asking us.
Lord we need Your guidance and Your direction. Thank You for allowing us to come to You and ask for Your help.
Thank You Lord for ears that hear and hearts that obey.
We have everything we need Lord because of You and we thank You.

Lord this is a wonderful reminder of how to live and serve You with a loving, caring attitude.
The cliché goes….’an attitude of gratitude’….. Thank You for giving us an attitude that sees the good things others do. And then Lord we not only see but we put action with our eyesight and let that other person know what we have seen.
It is because of You Lord that our attitude has changed. It is Your love that fills us and we thank You for it.

Lord what great promises are ours when we stay close to You.
These are tremendous gifts and they are ours when we trust You with our lives.
It certainly doesn’t mean we have special privileges but it does assure us that You are totally in control. You are with us.
