The way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know over what they stumble. Proverbs 4:19

Thank You Lord for helping us through life.

Solomon wanted his son to realize how devastating it was to be a wicked person and warned him over and over to pay attention to what he was teaching him and never deviate from it.

Thank You Lord that as we heed Your words of wisdom we too will keep to the path You have designed for us. A path that brings us closer and closer to You each moment of every day. A path that changes us from the inside out.

Oh how blessed we are Lord because we know and love You. Thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen.

But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn which shines brighter and brighter until full day. Proverbs 4:18

Lord You are our light. It is because of You that we as Your children shine.

Because You guide and direct and walk hand in hand with us our lives are changed into Your image. Your light shines in and through us for all to see.

Thank You for the light that shines to give all hope and peace.

We are so, so blessed Lord and we thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen and Amen.

Do not enter the path of the wicked and do not walk in the way of evil men. Avoid it; do not go on it; turn away from it and pass on. For they cannot sleep unless they have done wrong; they are robbed of sleep unless they have made someone stumble. For they eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence. Proverbs 4:14 – 17

Lord often it takes real commitment to keep on the straight and narrow pathway.

Solomon warns us ….. DO NOT ….DO NOT …. Because the results will leave us empty and sad and yes many have been totally destroyed.

Thank You Lord that with Your help and guidance we don’t have to take the wrong pathway. Thank You for always being there to help us through each challenge.

Thank You for the rewards that are our because we know You and look to You.

How grateful we are Lord. Thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen…. Thank You.

Thank You for helping us keep our eyes upon You and our hearts full of Your love.

Thank You for watching over us Lord and keeping us safe.

Our lives are in Your hands Lord and we certainly appreciate the fact that You allow us to come to You.

What gifts….what blessings…..Thank You!

Hear, my son, and accept my words, that the years of your life may be many. Proverbs 4:10

Lord, who of us doesn’t want to live longer. Solomon tells his son that if he listens to him and does what he says he would live longer.

I also find it interesting Lord that he is speaking to his young son. His young inexperienced son. AND he keeps asking him to listen and obey.

Often Lord in our teenage years we really think we know it all and don’t want to or feel like we need to listen.

Solomon knew his son would have a hard time obeying and therefore we read his words over and over telling him to treasure wisdom and knowledge.

Thank You Lord that You care about us and remind us of the gifts of wisdom and knowledge that are ours when we trust in You.

Thank You for helping us listen and obey.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom and whatever you get, get insight. Prize her highly and she will exalt you; she will honor you if you embrace her. She will place on your head a fair garland; she will bestow on you a beautiful crown. Proverbs 4:7 – 9

Lord – Solomon is talking a lot about getting wisdom and insights.

Solomon was a very good example of what the Lord is trying to teach us about wisdom.

Solomon was the wisest person that ever lived. He has much to teach us in these verses.

Thank You for the opportunity to sit at Your feet and gain wisdom and knowledge.

We sit and we listen.

Thank You Lord. Thank You.

Amen

When I was a son with my father, tender, the only one in the sight of my mother, he taught me, and said to me, “Let your heart hold fast my words; keep my commandments, and live; do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth, Get wisdom; get insight.” Do not forsake her, and she will keep you; love her, and she will guard you. Proverbs 4:3 – 6

Lord – Thank You for Your words that call us back to Your wisdom.

Solomon reminds us that it is by listening to Your words and not straying that we find love and guidance.

These are all our gifts for walking with You Lord and we thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

Hear, O sons, a father’s instruction, and be attentive, that you may gain insight; for I give you good precepts; do not forsake my teaching. Proverbs 4:1, 2

Lord, it is good for us to listen to what You are trying to teach us.

It is good for us to learn by teaching because then we don’t have to learn such hard lessons by experience.

Thank You for being our teacher.

Thank You for helping us obey You.

Thank You for walking with us and guiding us.

We have it all Lord and we thank You.

Thank You Lord. Thank You.

Amen
