If you are wise, you are wise for yourself; if you scoff, you alone will bear it. Proverbs 9:12

Lord Solomon was very fortunate to be the wisest man that ever lived.

He had the wisdom we all would like to have. Wisdom helps us see things as they truly are. It gives us insights that far surpass our own knowledge.

We are very fortunate to have You as our Lord and Savior and we do thank and praise You.

Thank You Lord.

Thank You!

For by Me your days will be multiplied and years will be added to your life. Proverbs 9:11

Lord our lives are truly in Your hands. We had no say in who we were born to. We had no say in what color we would be or the nationality. We had no say in how smart we would be. We had no say in anything. Our life was given by You and for You. We are here to bring honor and glory to Your name.

You loved us enough to die for us. Thank You for that gift Lord. Thank You for the promise that some day when You return we will spend all eternity with You. Thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

Thank You Lord for giving us brains and the ability to learn.

Thank You for always being with us showing us Your pathway.

Thank You Lord. Thank You.

He who corrects a scoffer gets himself abuse and he who reproves a wicked man incurs injury. Do not reprove a scoffer or he will hate you; reprove a wise man and he will love you. Proverbs 9:7, 8

Lord these certainly are words of ‘wisdom’ …… and oh so true.

It is often hard to keep our mouths shut in the heat of the challenges. Thank You for reminding us Lord that we can’t win with a scoffer or someone that is evil and full of hate.

Keep our eyes on You Lord and our thoughts pure.

We love You Lord and thank You for Your guidance.

Thank You. Thank You Lord.

Amen

Wisdom has built her house, she has slaughtered her beasts, she has mixed her wine, she has also set her table. She has sent out her maids to call from the highest places in the town, “Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!” To him who is without sense she says, “Come, eat of my bread and drink of the wine I have mixed. Leave simpleness and live, and walk in the way of insight. Proverbs 9:1 – 6

Lord once again ‘wisdom’ speaks and shows us that it is very wise to work until we have everything in order. She is wise in making sure nothing has been left until tomorrow. Oh what a lesson for us to learn.

Lord we all need Your help in this very, fast paced environment we live in today.

Thank You for ‘wisdom’ Lord because it helps us every moment of every day.

Thank You. Thank You Lord.

Amen

“And now, my sons, listen to me: happy are those who keep my ways. Hear instruction and be wise and do not neglect it. Happy is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my gates, awaiting beside my door. For he who finds me finds life and obtains favor from the Lord; but he who misses me injures himself; all who hate me love death.” Proverbs 8:32 – 36

And Lord who of us does not want to happy. Thank You for telling us that when we listen to You and stay close to You there is happiness.

Thank You for providing the wisdom we need to help us through this life.

You are always there Lord and we thank you!

Thank You Lord.

Amen

The Lord created me (wisdom) at the beginning of His work, the first of His acts of old. Ages ago I was set up, at the first, before the beginning of the earth. Proverbs 8:22, 23

Lord You have created all things for us to enjoy.

Thank You for wisdom. Thank You for being there to help us learn more and more. Thank You for helping us become wiser in looking out for traps that would entice us to follow the wrong pathways.

Lord it is by keeping our thoughts and desires upon You that we grow and learn. You are always there to show us Your perfect pathway and we thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen and Amen.

The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate. I have counsel and sound wisdom, I have insight, I have strength. Proverbs 8:13, 14

Lord who of us doesn’t hate evil. We all do. Evil is probably only 1% of our population and yet the havoc it causes is beyond our words to describe it.

Thank You Lord for putting in our hearts the desire to shun all evil.

Thank You for helping us through the difficulties that evil puts us through when it is thrust upon us.

Thank You for Your wisdom and knowledge showing us ways to combat the evil that is in this world today.

Thank You for watching over us Lord. You are our only hope. You are our shield.

Thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

I wisdom dwell in prudence and I find knowledge and discretion. Proverbs 8:12

Lord, Solomon was trying to keep his son pure and undefiled. He kept warning him to watch out for cunning women and evil men. Over and over he warned him to remember what he had been taught.

Wisdom – being wise – Thank You Lord for giving this wisdom to us too.

Thank You Lord. Thank You.

Amen

There are six things which the Lord hates, seven which are an abomination to Him; haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies and a man who sows discord among brothers. Proverbs 6:16 – 19

Lord we sure would hope and pray that none of these things that You hate are in our lives. Certainly it is our goal and desire not to harbor one of them in our hearts.

We need never fear harboring these thoughts and actions when we let You control our lives and we thank You.

Thank You for spelling out via Solomon all that displeases You.

Thank You that we have You to run to for help and guidance.

Thank You Lord. Thank You!
