Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down but a good word makes him glad. Proverbs 12:25
How true these words of Solomon are Lord. How great it is to get a good word from someone….especially if it is someone that has great value in our lives.
You remind us not to be anxious for anything but to bring our request to You. You are there….You love us unconditionally and we thank You.

Lord working and being self-sufficient is something You designed. Solomon knew it and in this verse reminds his son how important it is.
Thank You for jobs and knowledge to do those jobs to the best of our ability.
Thank You for helping us when we cry out to You.
We thank You Lord …..You are always with us and love us unconditionally.

Thank You Lord for making us who we are with all our different personalities and gifts.
Those gifts and our wonderful personalities are only brought to our full potential as we learn to know You better and better and are changed into Your likeness. Your love changes us into the ‘best’ selves we can be day by day.
Oh what a gift it is Lord to sit at Your feet each day and learn.

Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord but those who act faithful are His delight. Proverbs 12:22
Lord in remembering that Solomon is writing these warning to his son helps us remember why he is saying the same thing in so many different way. These were warning and insights into how to please You. Certainly this is one of those things we want our children to learn and learn well. We had this same thought in verse 19 when I talked about my mother and the gift she gave me in reminding me of this very same lesson over and over as a child.
We can all take heart today in this message that Solomon is giving us. To be a delight to You Lord is our desire. We long to please You.
Your love for us teaches us Lord because it is unconditional. Oh how we need it and oh how we thank You.

Lord it must be a horrible existence to have to constantly looking over your shoulder to see who is coming after you because of what you have done. That is the plight of the evil person.
Thank You for helping us do the right things each day. Oh no Lord we are not perfect but we have Your guidance and direction and example to point us in the right direction. We want to love instead of causing harm to others.
Thank You Lord for Your peace and joy. We are oh so blessed because of You.

Truthful lips endure forever but a lying tongue is but a moment. Proverbs 12:19
Lord this is one of those times when I have to thank You for a mother that loved You. She instilled within me at a very young age that if you lied no one could ever believe you. She drilled into me how much better it was to always tell the truth because then you never needed to remember your story. You would always know the truth. I also knew I would be punished if she ever found out I lied and I sure didn’t want that as a child because she definitely knew how to punish me.
Lord there are those things like this that Solomon was trying to teach his son. We as parents have great gifts like this to give our children that lasts with them their whole life.
These verses we have been reading from the wisdom of what Solomon was telling his son are gifts to us too and we thank You.

Lord thank You for those people in our lives that make us feel so good to be around.
Thank You for their unconditional love for us. Lord they just look beyond our shortcomings and love us. What a gift they are and how wonderful it is to be in their presence.
Thank You Lord that each of us can be those individuals in others’ lives.

Thank You Lord for those on this earth that are honest. What an important way to be. Lord it only takes one fabrication of the truth to make us never want to believe that person again.
