A gentle tongue is a tree of life but perverseness in it breaks the spirit. Proverbs 15:4
Lord… Solomon just keeps reminding his son of the importance of having a gentle tongue.
He keeps saying it in all different ways. Each of his illustrations give us another look at the downside of not choosing the right way.
Thank You for Your reminders to us Lord. We need them. AND we need Your help too and thank You for each time You are there for us.

Lord it is wonderful to be able to share knowledge and gain knowledge.
Solomon certainly was wise in warning his son. Thank You for his wisdom. Thank You for the opportunity we have to learn from him.

Lord over and over Solomon tells us how wise it is to gain as much wisdom as we can and then to use that wisdom.
Thank You Lord for eyes to see and ears to hear what You want to teach us through others.
Thank You for those wise people that come into our lives at just the right time.
Thank You that as Your children You are there helping us each moment of every day. Oh how we thank and praise You.

Lord when we love and serve You we want to be an example of Your love and all You have done for us. We want to represent You by being like You. As we read Your scripture and see how You lived it helps us. You do change us from the inside out and we thank You.
As the song so beautifully puts it – ‘Oh to be like You’….that is our goal Lord. That is our desire. With Your help Lord we are changing moment by moment and we thank You.

Thank You Lord for giving us the desire to help those In need.
We all have been or will be needy at one time or another in our lives….needy physically, needy spiritually, needy monetarily…….
Life is a journey and You do use others in our lives to help us on our way.
Thank You Lord for the knowledge and understanding You provide. How wonderful it is to have a compassionate person help us.

Lord how wonderful it is to have a tranquil mind.
Thank You Lord for the peace and contentment that only You can provide.

He who is slow to anger has great understanding but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly. Proverbs 14:29
Lord there are those that must pray long and hard to have help with their hasty temper. You are there and help them but it is still an uphill challenge as they depend upon You for Your help.
Solomon talks a lot about anger in this book of Proverbs. He is warning his son to beware.
Once again I have to thank You Lord for Your help in all areas of our lives. You are there when we cry out to You and we thank You.
