So Pilate went out to them and said, “What accusation do you bring against this man?” They answered him, “If this man were not an evildoer, we would not have handed Him over.” John 18:29, 30

Lord I am reminded of the scripture that says, “He came unto His own and His own received Him not.”

Lord, these men were out to destroy You. You did nothing wrong but they didn’t like the popularity You had gained and they wanted you dead. They were going to do all within their power to accomplish it.

There are times in our lives Lord when we feel like that also. There are those that are jealous and want to destroy us too.

Thank You for understand when we cry out to You for help.

Thank You for always being there to comfort and cheer us on.

We love You Lord.
Thank You! Thank You

Lord.

Jesus answered, (Pilate ) “My kingship is not of this world; if My kingship were of this world, my servants would fight, that I might not be handed over to the Jews; but my kingship is not from the world.” John 18:36

Thank You Lord for speaking out even though You were not understood.

Thank You for staying true to Your calling.

Thank You that with Your help we can stay true to our calling even though we may be misunderstood.

You are always with us Lord and we thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Pilate also wrote a title and put it on the cross; it read, “Jesus of Nazareth the King of the Jews.” John 19:19

Lord, Pilate had done his very best to try and get You released. Now we find that he put a title over You. He knew who You were. He wanted all that passed by to know that You were indeed his King and their King too.

Thank You Lord for Your love for us that went to the cross to free us.

How can we ever thank You enough….. We stand in awe before You. We love You Lord.

Thank You for dying for me.

Thank You Lord.

Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene came to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb. So she ran, and went to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him.” John 20:1, 2

Lord thank You for those that love us enough to risk their all for us. We are blessed the statistic shows

Thank You for Your unconditional love. I need it every day.

We are so, so blessed.

Thank You Lord.

Now John wore a garment of camel’s hair, and a leather girdle around his waist; and his food was locusts and wild honey. John 3:4

Lord I am reminded of the scripture that says, ‘Man looks on the outside but God looks on the heart.’

This verse tells us how John was dressed because it was certainly not the normal apparel of the day. He was very different in his dress and what he ate. Today we would think he was very strange. In spite of his looks and what he ate people were flocking to see him. He had a message to tell. His love for You Lord was shining greater than what he ate or word.

Thank You Lord for not looking at the outside but looking at our hearts.

Thank You for using all different kinds of people to further Your kingdom. What an example they are of Your love.

Thank You for Your calling on all our lives. We love You Lord and long to serve You.

Thank You for Your still small voice that calls us on each day.

Thank You Lord.

(Jesus continues) “You are the salt of the earth; but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trodden under foot by men. Matthew 4:13

Oh how we need You Lord.

Thank You for giving us the desire to stay close to You.

Thank You for Your unconditional love.

Thank You! Thank You Lord.

(Jesus continued) “Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is easy, that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard, that leads to life, and those who find it are few.” Matthew 6:13, 14

Thank You Lord for helping us walk through the narrow gate.

Thank You that we don’t have to live for You without Your help.

Thank You for ALWAYS being with us to help us see Your light to follow You.

Yes, the way is hard but You give us the wisdom and strength to make it safely.

Thank You Lord. Thank You.

And when Jesus came to the ruler’s home, and saw the flute players, and the crowd making a tumult, He said, “Depart; for the girl is not dead but sleeping.” And they laughed at Him. Matthew 9:23, 24

Lord it is so hard for us to believe. The people that had gathered when the little girl died knew she was dead and yet you were saying she was only sleeping. They laughed at You. The didn’t believe what You were hearing was true.

Thank You Lord for giving us the faith to believe.

Thank You for helping us accept by faith all that You are telling us.

Thank You for the gentle way You work in our lives through the Holy Spirit.

Oh how wonderful to know You Lord. You are our friend. You are our Lord and we thank You.

Thank You Lord.

(Jesus continued) “And if I cast out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges.” Matthew 12:27

Lord these Pharisees continued to taunt You and try and find fault with You. They were trying their very best to trip You up in something You said or did. You knew it. You were aware of what they were doing. You had the upper hand at all times.

Thank You Lord that we can trust You.

Trust is such an important part of life. Thank You for teaching us how to trust You and Your promises.

Thank You Lord.

(Jesus continued the seeds parable.) “Other seeds fell on good soil and brought forth grain, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty. He who has ears, let him hear.” Matthew 13:8, 9

Lord how fortunate we are to have ears to hear and hearts to respond.

Thank You that we are that seed that fell on the good soil. We responded. We are bring forth our yield. At times we struggle and would wish for a much larger yield. Thank You for being there to help us do all we can to be Your example. Fill us with Your Love and understanding.

Oh to be like You Lord. Full of love and forgiveness. Thank You for Your example.

Thank You Lord.
