This man (Nicodemus) came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do, unless God is with Him.” John 3:2
Thank You Lord for those that know You and accept who You are.
Thank You for their witness to others of the faith they have in You.
Thank You for their trust in You and acceptance.
Thank You for their example.

Thank You Lord for John’s wisdom.
Thank You that he knew his calling on this earth – it was to point others to You.
Thank You for the insights he shared with us as he wrote this book.
What an awesome man he would have been to be around.

Thank You Lord for Your gift of eternal life.
Thank You for giving us ears to hear Your word.
Thank You for helping us believe when we would question.
Thank You for giving us the assurance that we have passed from death into life.
And what a wonderful life it is Lord all because You came to earth for us.

Thank You Lord for Your forgiveness.
Thank You for loving us unconditionally.
Thank You for loving us just the way we are but too much to leave us that way.
Your calling is on each of our lives and I thank You.

So when He (Jesus) heard that he (Lazarus) was ill, He stayed two days longer in the place where He was. John 11:6
Lord so often when we read scripture we are reminded that Your ways are so different from what we think You should do. Given the situation and knowing how much You loved Lazarus it would have seemed You would have rushed to his side. No… You stayed where You were two days longer.
Thank You Lord that we don’t have to understand everything You do….BUT we must trust.
Thank You for always doing the right thing.
Thank You for Your guidance and direction.
You are always there!

(Jesus continued) “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide; so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He may give it to you. John 15:16
Lord thank You for the gifts You give us. One of those gifts is the ability to bear fruit.
Thank You for helping us abide in You. For Lord it is by abiding in You that we ask for things that You want to give us.
Thank You for choosing each of us to come follow You.

Faith! Faith that believes. Faith believe even when it doesn’t see.
Thank You Lord for Your gift of faith.
Thank You for planting within each of us the desire to know You.
Thank You for giving us ‘faith’ to believe and trust.
Oh how wonderful it is to know because we know because we know. We have ‘faith’ …. Your gift to us.

When He (Jesus) said to them, “I am He,” They drew back and fell to the ground. Again He asked them, “Whom do you seek?” And they said, “Jesus of Nazareth.” John 18:6, 7
Lord what was happening would have scared anyone because Judas has gather this band of men and they were armed and ready to fight. You knew all of this and You knew the end results. You knew they were there to capture You and have You put to death. And Yet you said ….”I am He.”
Thank You Lord for the great price that was paid for our salvation.
Thank You for calling each of us to come follow You.
