Thought For Today

A hoary (white) head is a crown of glory; it is gained in a righteous life. Proverbs 16:31

Thank You Lord for my white hair and the wisdom that comes with each new year of life.

Thank You for this verse that reminds me how special it truly is.

I am reminded this morning that I was aware of my white hair when a classmate sitting behind me in the fifth grade said oooo a white hair. It sure didn’t seem so special at that embarrassing moment though Lord. As the years continued though there were many compliments until my age and hair have come to meet each other today. Thank You for each hair on my head Lord for truly each one is a gift from You that You have numbered. Thank You.

Thank You for the desire You placed within me as a child to live for You.

What a gift! What a blessing! Thank You for memories.

Con artists Lord. That is what this verse reminds me of. People that are trying to take advantage of others.

Thank You Lord for Your ability to change us into Your image.

Thank You for changing us moment by moment and day by day.

A man of violence entices his neighbor and leads him in a way that is not good. Proverbs 16:29

Lord I am so thankful that there are more wonder people on this earth than those that are violent and evil.

Thank You for the neighbors that are kind and considerate.

Thank You that we can be the kind of neighbor we would like to have.

Thank You for giving us the desire to become more and more like You.

How wonderful it is Lord to have You to go to with our request for help and guidance.

Thank You for that still small voice that so often guides and directs us.

Thank You for healing relationships caused by whisperers that should never have been broken.

Thank You for always listening and always caring. We love You Lord and thank You.

Lord …. Thank You for giving us our appetites. Thank You too for giving us the desire to work to buy our food.

There are so many things in our lives Lord that we just take for granted. We pause right now to thank You for our taste buds that give us the delight of food each day.
