The soul of the wicked desires evil; his neighbor finds no mercy in his eyes. Proverbs 21:10

Lord thank You that You can change a wicked person into someone that loves You.

Thank You for the many people that were full of evil and You changed in an instance when they gave their will and their lives to You.

What great hope it gives us as we pray.

Thank You for open arms that are waiting for all to come to You.

Oh how we praise and thank You that we answered that call.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

It is better to live in a corner of the housetop than in a house shared with a contentious woman. Proverbs 21:9

Lord ….Solomon in all his wisdom wanted to protect his son. He gave him wise advice. Advice that he must have hoped would go with him the rest of his life and especially when choosing a wife.

Thank You Lord for giving us the privilege of praying and asking You to change those rough spots that are in our personalities.

Thank You that moment by moment and day by day we become more and more like You.

Thank You Lord.

The way of the guilty is crooked but the conduct of the pure is right. Proverbs 21:8

Oh Lord how true this verse is. Solomon was teaching his son to live a pure life. He wanted his son to know You. He knew that if he listened and obeyed his life would not only be one that was pleasing to his own father but it would also please You ….his heavenly Father.

Thank You Lord that we have not only Solomon’s words to guide us but we have the whole Bible to guide us.

Thank You for helping us listen and obey.

Thank You Lord.

The violence of the wicked will sweep them away because they refuse to do what is just. Proverbs 21:7

Lord …. Solomon certainly wanted his son to realize that violence didn’t pay. Violent people lose in the end. Often they pay for their violence with their own lives.

Our world today is full of violence and Lord I just thank You for helping each one of us trust You each day. It is You that gives us peace in the midst of the storms of life. Oh how we thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a fleeting vapor and a snare of death. Proverbs 21:6

Lord …Solomon continues to remind his son that it does not pay to lie. What a valuable lesson to learn as a child. It is a lesson we certainly need to have go with us for a lifetime.

Thank You Lord that we can trust You when You tell us You are coming again for us. We wait with eager anticipation. Thank You for Your promises.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance but everyone who is hasty comes only to want. Proverbs 21:5

Lord it seems hasty decisions often don’t work. Perhaps by hasty it means there was no thought of prayer and asking what You want for the situation.

Thank You that You are only a prayer away.

Thank You for the insights You bring that we never would have realized before.

We have it all when we have You and we thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

Haughty eyes and a proud heart, the lamp of the wicked, are sin. Proverbs 21:4

Lord all we are and all we have is because of You. Solomon knew exactly what to tell his son about those that are proud. Is there one thing we can do that You don’t allow …..each breath we take is Your gift to us and we thank You. We are here because You want us here and we thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. Proverbs 21:3

Thank You Lord for helping us live our lives as You want us to.

Thank You for helping us each day.

We want to be all You created us to be.

You are there guiding us and we thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

Every way of a man is right in his own eyes but the Lord weighs the heart. Proverbs 21:2

Oh Lord how true this verse is. Solomon in his wisdom sure knew what to say to his son. We can so easily get caught up in what WE want to do all the while forgetting that You want to guide and direct us.

Thank You Lord for Your unconditional love that gently pulls us back on course. What a gift it is to be rescued by Your love. Oh how we need You Lord and thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; He turns it wherever He will. Proverbs 21:1

Lord it is not only the king’s heart it is our heart too.

Thank You for knowing all about us and knowing what is best for us. I will certainly admit Lord that there are many times that I have questioned You and asked why. I will also admit that often I didn’t receive an answer. Therefore, I have to thank You for the faith You provide to trust when we don’t see why. You are there loving us and helping us through those difficult times. Thank You!

Thank You Lord.

Amen
