He who trusts in his own mind is a fool; but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered. Proverbs 28:26
Thank You Lord for the wisdom You alone can give. Prayer is an awesome gift. You are there 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Oh how we thank You for the wisdom and knowledge You provide. Thank You.
Thank You Lord.

He who rebukes a man will afterward find more favor than he who flatters with his tongue. Proverbs 28:23
Lord…once again Solomon wants his son to know that it is okay to help someone that needs to know what they are doing wrong. Better to point it out to them than to gloss over it with flattery.
Thank You Lord for always being there to show us the way.
Thank You Lord.
Amen

A miserly man hastens after wealth and does not know that want will come upon him. Proverbs 28:22
Lord….Solomon once again is trying to give his own son a lesson in life. The more the miser tried to save in the end the less he had.
Thank You Lord that when we trust in You we have Your guidance and direction.
Thank you Lord.

To show partiality is not good; but for a piece of bread a man will do wrong. Proverbs 28:21
Lord we so often have choices. Sometimes the choices are not easy to make. Thank You for only being a prayer away. Thank You for hearing us and helping us know the direction You want us to take.
We love You Lord and long to do what You are calling us to do. Thank You for always being there to help us.
Thank You Lord.

He who tills his land will have plenty of bread but he who follows worthless pursuits will have plenty of poverty. Proverbs 28:19
Lord…once again we see Solomon teaching his son that he must work if he want to have food.
It is time to harvest the corn and beans here in Illinois. The farmers are up from sun up to sun down working long hours to get the corn and beans harvested. It is for us they have planted and harvested. It is for them for their survival. That is what Solomon wanted his son to learn. He wanted him to work hard and reap the rewards of a hard days work.
Thank You for those that provide our food. There are a lot of people involved that are working extremely hard. Thank You for each one of them.
Thank You Lord.
Amen

If a man is burdened with the blood of another, let him be a fugitive until death; let no one help him. He who walks in integrity will be delivered but he who is perverse in his ways will fall into a pit. Proverbs 28:17, 18
Lord there is such a big difference in these two people that Solomon is warning his son about. One is a person of integrity and the other is a fugitive.
Thank You Lord for giving us the desire to be people with integrity. Thank You for helping us want to become more and more like You.
These are gifts of love from You Lord and we thank You.
Thank You Lord.
Amen

A ruler who lacks understanding is a cruel oppressor; but he who hates unjust gain will prolong his days. Proverbs 28:16
Lord….what comes to my mind is honesty and integrity. Thank You for leaders that are honest and want to do what is pleasing to You. For those leaders there is the promise of a long life.
Thank You Lord for each of them that loved You. They were our gift and I thank You for them.
Thank You Lord.
Amen

Like a roaring lion or a charging bear is a wicked ruler over a poor people. Proverbs 28:15
Lord over and over Solomon is teaching his son and advising him to take care of the poor. He talks in this verse about a ruler that is wicked. He doesn’t want his son to follow the evil ways.
Thank You Lord that by listening to You our lives are changed into Your image. We see things differently. We view life with a whole new set of eyes.
Thank You Lord.
Amen
